Posts: 2232I am glad to link up. In fact, another ISGer callsign drone is in the area at Posto 12. Quality over quantity. We few, we happy few.
I will reach out by pm.

Arrived since 3/30 and glad I didn't apply for that silly e-visa. Farewell $90 bucks for those who did.
Man I'm glad I picked an apt in Jacarepagua, close to Recreio beach. This is a growing area of Rio, very beautiful and quiet except for some constructions. Less than two weeks in and already imagined wow this is a nice area to invest while still being developed. Just a thought!
Anyhow, I must say thanks to those who report here especially Vagabundo1. This mofo is hilarious but thanks to you Recreio Terapias and Paris cafe club are my two go-to spots here being couple miles away. Quite a few garotas on photoaccompanhante nearby when I sort by distance. I even found an apt building I can walk to few blocks away with 4-5 girls working. I'm up now extra early since the sun comes up at 4 fucking Am in this mfr LOL. Glad to have met a cool neighbor that takes me to play ball on the beach, then work out. My decent Espaņol definitely helps with learning porto. A local Uber driver calls it Portuņol, I looked it up and it is a thing LOL.
As a filthy degenerate can't wait to visit VM, I might even buy an apt next to that area. Ok kidding. I'm booked where I'm at for 2 mos, after which I may go closer to Copacabana or Centro. VagaB1 if you're offering tours I wouldn't mind do that, especially on weekends. I can pay in beers if it's something you do for fun.
Forget the haters and depressing posts talking about dicks going soft lmao. People have lost their sense of humor and don't appreciate entertaining reports. But many of us do and I write similarly usually, useful intel along with a shitload of crap and fun. I dunno why would anyone risk heart attacks or lose their shit over a fun post.
Loving Rio and its people. More detailed reports coming.

The Brazilian government postponed the visa requirement for USA Nationals for one year. On April 10,2025, the Government of Brazil will reinstate a visa requirement for all USA Nationals visiting Brazil, with an option for an e-visa for qualified applicants. This date reflects a one-year postponement announced on April 9, 2024.
