Regarding Vila Mimosa. A subject that always make some forum members upset, even those who never been there. Vilma Mimosa is uniquely as 1500 girls work there (this number can be outdated) in 72 casas. The atmosphere is fun and you'll see lots of interesting characters. Nobody likes filthy beds so bring your girl to a casa with clean sheets or walk down the street to Hotel Canario. I used to be a big fan of VM between the late nineties until 2010. A session used to cost 25 reais and it was very easy to find gems.

The last decade VM has gotten more expensive, about the same as the cheaper prives in centro. There are still gems but it takes more searching to find them. My visits to VM have become more rare. Still I think VM is worth to visit. There are beautiful and quite unspoiled 18 year-olds from the suburbs or favelas.

Villa Mimosa is a dirty, filthy shithole, full of mostly fat or ugly (or both) women who are fucked, in tiny rooms whose sheets may or may not be changed daily, by guys who just want to empty their balls and can't afford more expensive places. You might be able to find a handful of maybe fuckable girls on a good night (last time I went last fall I only saw 2). If you do go, bring your own sheet or go to a nearby motel if you actually find someone to fuck.

In the past I had been debating in my mind in which country I would spend the rest of my days on this planet as I had no intention of doing so where I am now. For many years the choice was between Brazil and Thailand. Eventually around 2019 I thought I'd base my decision on which women I liked the most. Physically Brazilian women win over Thai women for me. They have the best bodies in the world, have beautiful faces and love sex the most. However, I find that I get along much better with Thai women. From my experience Thai females are really cool and lack complications. Latin American women are easier to deal with than American women but I don't know whether it is the proximity to the US or what but they are closer to US women behavior than Thais. The last Thai girlfriend I had during my visit to LOS in 2015 never even asked for money on my return home and although she did mention a bit of hardship to me I never sent her any and we were still cool. My decision is, therefore, Thailand and Pattaya in particular. Nevertheless, kudos to those guys who decided to retire in Brazil.

Hello just had a quick question as I'm looking to travel to rio mid November from the US. Was poking around online and saw some mixed reports about visa's. Does anyone know if US citizens are required to have a visa in specific Nov. 2023 or does this requirement take place in Jan. 2024. Saw several sites online all saying different things. I did see on the gov sites which state Jan. 2024 but just want to be sure before booking. Anyone going to be in rib during that time Nov. 2023 lmk would love to meet up as well!

I'm looking at Brazil this year and this visa thing got me doing my research. Give the Brazilian visa website a read through. A lot of information there. One that I haven't seen anyone mention is that there seems to be options other than the 30 day bank statement. Here is what the visa site says:

Printed bank statement showing transactions for the last 30 days and showing balance of US $ 2,000.00 or proof of income or credit card statement".

I hope someone here finds out about the proof of income or credit card statement. I'll gladly give a credit card statement of a locked credit card that will not be with me on my trip. That proof of income? Yeah I'll type a letter up for that but it doesn't say how much you're supposed to make to get the evisa.
