Thank you for writing this. My views exactly. At least you did due diligence. My diligence was asking my agent in Rio about VM and he started laughing and told me it was trash and would never go there. That was good enough diligence for me 🤣.

Convenience is a big deal to me. I don't see why I should go from one to another to another "hoping to find a diamond in the rough". I would rather go to one where I am pretty much assured of a few diamonds at a higher price.

You will pay more for this experience. Also BarraVIPs. Nothing but positive experiences with it so far.

I would strongly suggest the terma, Mosaico, after midnight, and really best after 2 AM. It is in VM.

I also strongly suggest the prives, which you seem on your way to doing, especially the top tier prives.

1.) I've spent several days recently in Buzios. What is Buzios you may ask? It is a luxury beach town about 3-4 hours outside of Rio. You will likely be paying US prices for things, but I found the excess costs to to be worth it. A few times I looked out over the water and thought I was in Italy or Greece. This place is worth bringing a non-pro for a weekend getaway. It wasn't very crowded because it is winter time, but locals did inform me that there are working girls in the clubs during the summertime. You can get a nice Airbnb for $100+/ night during the offseason.

2.) If you are visiting Rio as a newbie, like myself, one should indulge in the sites to see but be careful of your surroundings. I went into a few favelas since I blend in and was with a friend who knows the lay of the land / is Brazilian. While visiting these places may be enticing, I don't advise it for your average monger unless you take a formal tour. My speculation is that these tours are arranged through the companies and local gangs to ensure the safety of the tourists, as it brings money to the favelas. Be careful.

3.) I do recommend the average newbie visit the Christ statue, Lapas (famous steps), Saint Theresa, and the Botanical Gardens. Just take a formal tour. It is worth it even if you are only here for a week or so. There is a lot to see.

4.) If you are looking for a good non-pro social scene and are a senior member who has contributed to the forum, feel free to PM me and I will advise you on some great locations. But, you need to speak Portuguese or else you will not have any success..

You keep it on your whatsapp. Use both whatsapp and zapbiz. Get a google phone which allows multiple users. With 4 users and using both zaps, you can have 8 numbers. Keeping the chip alive itself may not be necessary.

But TIA, don't you rave about Santa Fe in Bogota which is known to be dirty and dangerous? Absolutely, but SF clubs are 1.) very safe and mostly clean and 2.) the talent there is some of the best I have ever seen, consistently. The darkside termas of Rio are not the same. I'd go to these darkside termas more if the quality was worth it for my tastes, but its just not there. It is worth noting for those familiar with Bogota that the girls who work in SF are the same ones who work in the more expensive northern clubs. The dynamic doesn't seem to be the same here in Rio, as the quality difference between darkside and even MC is so vast. There's no difference between Lidos (Zona T) and Troya (Santa Fe) on a Friday night in Bogota.

Phone / Getting a Sim " chippee": Go to Central. Buy the Vivo, as it apparently gets better signal. Then you can charge the number "recarga" at any pharma, kiosk, etc, in order to keep your chip charged. You can also get chips for Tim, claro, etc. The cost is 10 reais, or 17 reais. Tell them you do not have a CPF, and that you want them to "cadastrar". You will see any number of women or sometimes men walking around with little trays with Tim, Claro, or Vivo. Getting a Brazilian number is key for game on zap, which is to say, essential.

Well you damn well should have said something. She said that because a lot of guys that are not in country contact them wasting their time. If she had known you were a serious customer she would have not given you that price. I do not know how well your Portuguese is, but if you have a local number and do not write the language well they will still know you are not from there.

There is an interesting thread on gpguia, where a guy with two phone numbers called three girls, who had ads on Private55 and some other site like Fatalmodel. Every time when he was asked where he found her and he said Private55, the price was higher. Private55 is considered more upscale/premium than the other site the girls had their ads.

The best quality come out after 19 h, and especially after 22 h. If you are 4 x 4 already, you should go to 116 and T31. Zebra's writing is hemingway-esque and the praise is due. For those of us who have been to Captain Tony's in Key West, or watched Hemingway and Gellhorn, we would know: Hemingway would go to both 4 x4 and 116, probably to VM too, albeit with a guide and a shotgun.
