Flight tip
I flew GOL. I called the airline to confirm my booking was done correctly. Their website is in Portuguese, and when they ask you to fill out your birthday, it doesn't say whether you should put month first or day. While I was on the phone, I also asked if I'm allowed 1 carry on plus personal item (e. G. Backpack, laptop bag). She said no, so I purchased a check in baggage option. It's only $12 each way, so not a huge deal. But when I was boarding, I noticed most passengers had a carry on plus personal item. So it seems like it IS included. Also, when I was checking in for my flight, the lady just assumed I was carrying on both my luggage and backpack.

Hotel
Staying at Astoria Palace. Seems like an older building, not too impressed. Room's pretty small and had a musty smell when I entered. Internet's pretty good at 63 Mbps down, 35 Mbps up.

If any of you guys are down to hang out, grab dinner, hit the boates, hit me up. I'll be here for 5 days. =).

I plan on checking out Terma 65 (actually, looks like it's closed today), 4x4, and Termas Manhattan tonight.

Was curious about your comment indicating that GOL's site was only in Portuguese. I have flown them too, and did not recall that, so I had a look. If you look in the upper right-hand corner, you can select your country, and the site will be in the language of that country: https://www.voegol.com.br/en. And sorry you're not liking the hotel. Worked for me and Mr. E, but I do admit its been awhile since I stayed there. Maybe it will get better. Have a good stay in Rio. And remember, you're not going to see the best of Rio or Brazil during these pandemic times! Keep that in mind. And on the weekends the centro prives and termas are closed!

Holy fuck, these taxi drivers are pariahs! As I'm leaving the airport (Santos Dumont Airport. SDU), all these freaking taxi drivers keep asking me if I want a taxi. There's one guy that keeps following me even though I tell him no. He tells me Uber doesn't come here and keeps following me. I get stressed out and go to the train and buy the wrong ticket. LOL. It cost me R20, but whatever. There's a few people at the stop telling me I'm at the wrong one. One guy tells me I can take the train and transfer. I check out Uber again. It's weird. There's this blue box around the airport and I'm not sure what that means. I just assumed it means Uber's not allowed in the area? But there's also a place called the Uber Lounge in front of the Bossa Nova mall.

Uber tip!
Tip 1
If it's your first time in Rio, and you're coming in through SDU, make your way over to the south side of Bossa Nova mall. There's a huge waiting area outside just for Uber.

Tip 2
Order Uber Black. I ordered regular Uber and had my request canceled several times. After a few minutes, I changed my request to Uber Black and I was matched with a driver in 1 min. The cost was only $2 more.

This past week, when my flight arrived in Rio, as soon as I grabbed my bags and passed immigration / customs, I was heading through Duty Free (With no intention to buy anything because I just wanted to head to my apartment for shut eye), and my peripheral vision caught JW Green for only $41 US Holy Crap Batman!! I just had to buy it! What a bargain.

The JW gold was $30 which is usually more than the green which didn't make sense.

The JW blue was $146, $40 less then here in the states, I treated myself to a few of these.

I suppose that's why doctors typically don't prescribe one over the other and tell you that this specific ED med is the one for you. There's some trial and error.

A member mentioned using generics. Until recently, I've found the efficacy was generally not as good. The prices of ED meds in the United States are still too high.

Now that's what the fuck I'm talking about! Now every time I go to Rio, I say OK I will do some prives. But, I always find myself being zonked out in the daytime due to my previous night's shenanigans. And, there are so many prives, and they keep opening and closing and moving all over the place it seems.
