I leave from CGH to SDU, buy the ticket a week or two in advance, shouldn't cost more than are $900/ US $190. The flights are an hour, I've done it in 45 minutes from time to time. Depends on the tailwinds, pilot & particular aircraft you're in. I have an a good apartment hook-up in Rio that usually gets into the same place or another flat in the same building. It has a view of Copacabana Praia on Avenida Atlantica & Rua Bolivar.

Pre-pandemic the saying was, "Work in Sao Paulo to spend in Rio." Even though I'm working primarily online I like to be in Sao Paulo because I'm closer to the people who owe me money. Sometimes I stay an extra day or two or three, mostly on holiday weekends.

There's plenty to do in SP, if you know where to look. Scandallos is good, the new Bomboa is f'ing nice, Casarao works in a pinch. The last time I was at Tangara the total vibe of the place kinda turned me off. Lots of little hole in wall boates that can be interesting if you hit them on the right nights. Also it helps to get the WhatsApp if you really like the GDP and want to keep her as regular. I. e. Break glass in emergency lay. Depends on the clinicas.
