    Not the case!

I can assure you this is not the case. In the very least, one must check the policy on the Airbnb listing page -- some will explicitly prohibit "sex tourism" and unregistered guests in general. And even when no restrictions are listed, the doorman can create a problem for you.

    Well, it's your vacation, but.

In Rio we will spend 5 nights and then go to Pipa and Natal to meet him too. We have to squeeze everything to the max!

    So from the 5 nights:

    3 nights' accommodation in Ipanema.

1 night in Barra TransAmerica we would only go to spend one night, a whole day in the hotel.

1 night in CopaCabana, near the Mabs and Dolce Vita. How is Barbarella Boite and Kalabria?

If we already know the term Terma: the, we want to choose a good one.

To meet girls on the beach we want to go to the Ipanema beach between posts 9 and 10.

I also don't know if we'll have time for our first Copa583.

Thank you all very much for your help!
I would reconsider. For a 5-day first trip to Rio you'll be moving too much.

Don't you want to do some regular tourist stuff at all?

I obviously don't know you. Young, blue-eyed, great physical shape? Then picking up girls on Ipanema beach is possible.

Otherwise, understand that a normal middle-class carioca is like a Spanish girl. You'll need some time to court her. She won't probably fuck you on the first date, although it's not impossible. But you only have 5 days for everything. I'd stick to a pay-for-play game plan.

And I would stay in Copacabana to be close to everything.

You'd have easy access to Monte Carlo, 583, Mabs, and I've read good things about Lux. Haven't been to Barbarella in ages and never to Calabria, so can't say one way or another.

The nearby Metro stations will quickly take you to cheaper Centro options like 4 x4, 65, and countless prives.

I can't imagine you'll be able to squeeze much else in your 5-day adventure.

Oh, and there is a beach, too.

    Good luck!

I have stayed in two different apartments and I could take girls everywhere, and I think you can bring in any apartment. Booked through booking and Airbnb. I do book for two people!! Regarding hotels I don't know much, just an apartment book because a lot of hotels don't want changing girls every day, and try to stay in Copacabana because usually everything happens there and the beach is close by.

The outdoor Lapa street party on Friday and Saturday nights was the focal point of the Lapa scene. The action centered around the plaza next to Arcos the Lapa (Arches). From there, you might find a nearby club worth checking out.

There hasn't been a lot of discussion about Lapa in awhile and particularly during Covid.

We've gotten a lot of flavor the past few weeks for staying in Barra. It's intriguing. The answer is not black and white. In Barra, you will be Ubering and taking the metro to other parts of the cities. Transamerica sounds good for finding on-line escorts living in your building. It's however not on the beach.

Read LoveLongTime's recent reports. It gives a good impression of staying in Barra. He booked a place on the beach and at TA.

I read the reports and it's very rare someone to speak about these apps, it seems that they are non-existing in Brazil. Are they not a great place to meet freelancers or non-pro girls who are feeling a little adventurous?
Yes Tinder is full of hookers, but unless you have the big package where you can contact them directly, then you will probably be wearing your thumb out and waiting until who knows when for them to swipe on you in order to make the match. For instance, in Colombia me and my friends have experienced already being back home for 3 weeks until a chick swipes back on us. I have not met any non-pros on there. It seems hookers have taken over the majority of the dating apps on the planet.

Talk to Vagabundo, but I wouldn't stay in Barra on my first trip. Quite far from everything, but it depends on the duration of your trip.

Rio termas are NOT thermal baths. There is a sauna, but that's it. Baden-Baden they aren't, LOL. Manage your expectations and I'd recommend some more reading.

To me July in Rio is very comfortable, but I'm a sweating hog. The temp's in high-70, and can still swim in the ocean. Also gives the locals a chance to show off their sweaters and jackets and b*tch nonstop about that bitter cold, LOL.

    Tinder

Can someone who have been in Rio share his thoughts on Tinder and how effective it is in Rio? Since I started using it two years ago, basically 90% of my contacts during traveling around the world are from Tinder or Badoo. And always I had a very, very good time.

I read the reports and it's very rare someone to speak about these apps, it seems that they are non-existing in Brazil. I used them with great success around Asia and Africa and I was wondering why there is almost no reports including Tinder? BTW it was the same in Asia / Africa forums, it seems that people here just don't use them. Are they not a great place to meet freelancers or non-pro girls who are feeling a little adventurous? So can someone share his Rio experience with Tinder / Badoo apps?

    Hello everyone from Valencia, Spain!

I've been reading this forum for some time now and it's really helpful!

I am going to Rio de Janeiro this July with a friend, we are 30 years old and it is our first time in Brazil and Rio de Janeiro. Let's hope that the pandemic will allow it.

The first few days we are going to stay in Ipanema as we also want to do some typical tourism.

For our first night we want to go out in Lapa to see if we can find a Brazilian girl and to have the first contact in these lands, which will be a big impact used to our land. Any recommendation of a disco in Lapa? We will also use Tinder previously. We want to go from less to more.

We want to spend a night in the Hotel Transamerica in Barra the Tijuca, be in the swimming pool, be able to go with some to the beach and make a good feast in our room. Recommendable?

We will also take a night's accommodation near the Mabs Restaurant to try and get on one. How is Mabs doing these days?

Any additional recommendations for "young" people travelling for the first time? We will also go to some thermal baths, perhaps Termas 65.

Thank you very much to everyone and all recommendations are welcome.

Interesting report. Many Fortaleza mongers always prefered Fortaleza instead of Rio. Very different mongering. Propably even more now during the corona.

I mostly traveled by uber and sometimes by taxi through Rio.
Thank you for your report, but don't write off Rio. You haven't seen much, and you need to visit more than once to know whether you like it or hate it.

Out of curiosity, how would you compare Rio and Fortaleza in terms of general ambience, beaches, food and mongering?
