This ain't the Philippines, these are strong minded, proud people and if you can't communicate how they see it is that's your problem.
Did not come across a single person who had an issue with my inability to communicate in portuguese. Everyone I "needed" to talk to seemed down with passing a phone back and forth (or using their own, etc). For short trips in the modern age, you really don't have to worry about speaking the language of the country you're visiting. No country wants to turn away tourism dollars because the foreigner can't speak their language if they don't have to. Just don't go demanding people speak your language in their own country and you're generally fine. Even a few of the girls I was with were wanting to learn English not because they wanted to go to England or America, but because it's an internationally recognized language of commerce and travel, and it would serve them with not just their customers but wherever they wanted to travel to. In general, just be kind / polite and level-headed people are willing to overlook communication hurdles.

General report on the last two weeks in Rio:

I no longer recommend the Pestana hotel. The staff is great, the location is great, and it is girl friendly. However, the damn place is in urgent need of renovation. I had to move rooms twice due to things just being broken in some way. Two rooms had damaged / jammed balcony doors. None of the three rooms started with a safe. Two rooms had toilets that did not properly flush. The elevator takes foooorrreeevvverrr (always sounds like it's going to fall down the damned shaft), and only two of three are in operation (perhaps because the hotel is operating at reduced capacity? The hot water often did not work. Two rooms had inoperable phones. The first time they moved me, they actually moved me to a room with an inferior view on the wrong side of the building. So, again, I don't recommend it.

For escorts, I would lean heavily on Barra VIPs or Rio VIPs. Pictures were generally more accurate than using say photoacompanhantes. Still, a lot an extra two hours for your appointment as your girl will almost definitely be late. They suck at time management. Also, you will often be talking / whatsapping / whatever with an agent, rather than the girl herself, and the agent will claim to be said girl. This can often account for a girl being confused / unaware when you request a particular service that she's not comfortable with despite you "confirming" that she was. Photoacompanhantes does have some real postings, so it's still worth checking now and then. Just keep in mind that things that seem too good to be true often are. I had 4 successful if severely late appointments through Barra / Rio VIPs and a couple with PA. Just keep in mind you will be paying more for Barra VIPs / Rio VIPs. A lot of them stay over in Barra, but a good chunk of them stay in around Copacabana, and you can narrow down your search with the filter options. I recommend picking closer ones when possible to help mitigate how insanely late they often are.

For clubs like Monte Carlo, Centaurus, Solarium, and. Some other one somewhere in Centro. I much preferred Centaurus for selection (I tend to go for younger paler sorts). It's definitely not the cheapest option, however. Keep in mind it's closed on Sundays and several holidays, for you folks used to places like that being open every day. If you arrive prior to 8 pm, you may be swarmed by the girls as you may very well be the only dude there. Some are fine with this, I found it annoying, plan accordingly. I had a session with two gals from Centaurus and continued to see one outside of the place.

For prives, do not trust the pictures they share in various pictures about their staff. Almost without exception, they are heavily touched up. This is not to say they're necessarily ugly, just that the too good to be true rule applies here as well. These tend to be open M. F and not late at night, plan accordingly. Having been to six of them, I can't say I preferred one over the others.

This will probably be my first and last trip to Rio as I want to hit Europe next, but I don't regret coming.

I do enjoy more than just sex, I like to take the girl to eat, stroll around, go to beach, visit touristy spots, even have traveled to other city / country (in which case, she becomes a GF), since I don't personally feel I need to fuck many girls or many times to be satisfied. While I have read people doing that in Brazil, I need to figure out how to find these girls who are up for it, tinder doesn't real work for me, badoo is full of uglys, no gogo here. Perhaps I will try boates places like Kalabria, Dolce Vita, Mabs but not sure about the vfm there and lack of English (and covid risk in nightclubs?) If someone can point me where to look, I would appreciate.
I found and enjoyed 3 great gfs, one thru Brazilcupid, 1 beautiful Colombian chick visiting I met on the tourbus to see the Christo, and the last off a dating / foreign wife finder website I googled. (can't remember the name) Only one spoke english the rest we google translated happily outside of sex. You can try Latinamericancupid also without joining and see if they have many in the area chicas active in the last week before deciding to try it out.

    What was element #9?

    Vagabundo1,

You gave us elements #1-8 and #10. What was #9?

If there is some assault, make sure you are the victim -- she bit me, here is the blood, etc. Become an actor, watch porta dos fundos. My favorite response to crying working girl is something like "meu esposa e putaria," while feigning mock tears, tossing up water out of water bottle, onto her hair, another sure way to make a hooker run. Or the always funny, "melancia" as we recite the sobre mesa porta dos fundos.

A few years back I took my Capital One 360 debit card with me to Thailand. You better believe there was a hefty surcharge on my ATM withdrawal. That is why I use the Schwab debit card. It is the only debit card available to American citizens that will reimburse the user for any and all ATM withdrawal transaction fees anywhere in the world. I believe there is or was a similar debit card available for Europeans.
I stand corrected , I’ll have to get that swab card then . Still better than Wellsfargo where they charged me the using another atm fee , that bank charged a fee and the foreign transaction fee . Looks to be less for far . I’m still learning and thanks to guys like you my guy learning every time . Happy hunting

As I approached them saw one wearing Fla shorts (as lots do) and as they won the night before, on their victourious season, I'd throw up a "Bom Jogo Ontem" and a Shaka, just as I went through them. This rodwy-looking confused bunch went quiet for half a sec but then smiled at the wierd gringo, answering the sign.

Did it save me or not? Who knows, but better safe than sorry.
I got a little taste of how rowdy those vasco fans are. I'm staying at Hilton Morumbi and Vasco stayed here. I hear drums banging and fireworks for a long time. I finally go down to smoke and there are police everywhere and a group of like 30-40 vasco fans. I'm not sure what they were upset about they looked upset bcuz from what I gather the game vs SP was today LOL.

When I looked thru the peephole, she was standing in front of the door, her husband was standing off to the side, so I didn't know he was with her. It wasn't until I opened the door that I saw him, I thought she returned because she had forgotten something. It could have been a big issue, I am glad it didn't turn ugly.

    New Years

So I have decided to return for Rio for new years since I had so much fun at Halloween. My game plan is 3 to 4 a day. I will stick to it this time. I have been searching the Brazil forums hard and escort sites. I have had friends pick 8 ladies off Barravips. That is a done deal as long as they are available. I also plan on hitting a prive each day early. I will also contact two of my favorites from last trip. I will hit termas in the evening and clubs each night. Has anyone made a reservation at Pestana bm skybar, how difficult is it with limited Portuguese? I plan on going to Casablanca for new years eve if anyone is interested. Although I will not be buying more than 4 bottles this time. Thanks party on.

I take it you have no interest in meeting a non-pro even by accident.
