    Beginner tips and info

I'm planning a trip to this region with some friends for next year. This will be my first time traveling to Rio. Does any one have any tips for beginners. General information and information based in personal experiences. If there is a large in the thread with answers you can refer me there as well.

Just remember that Spanish is spoken in all of those countries due to Spain's "colonial attitude". Learn Spanish or else I'll kill you! And give me all your gold while you're at it will you?

    I could not agree more!

I checked out a Brazilian language CDS from my library before I made my first trip, and just listened to them and practiced.

If you sit at your house and social isolate and play video games all day, you can do that much.

Now I've been here in Brazil 27 times as much as 10 months at a time.

I still want to learn better Portuguese! I will probably take a class. The bubba boy guide mentions some choices, like at PUC-Rio. BR.

I think I will start reading some books, like FIM by Torres, or the Porto language version of the subtle art of not giving a fuck.

I've been out at least one of the mongers here who thinks that learning Porto is not required for their travel to Brazil, and it sucks being out with such lame people, whom I've dropped.

This ain't the Philippines, these are strong minded, proud people and if you can't communicate how they see it is that's your problem.

    9. Is a taser / electroshock device.

    11. Rehearse common self defense scenarios preferably with a local Brazilian martial arts academy, maybe with your best girlfriend.

    A) Here's a scenario: she goes into the kitchen after you have a fight about money. She is going for what reason?

    B) You start to fight with a girl. Maybe you want to fuck, and she refuses, and you want her to leave. Things start to get heated. The best thing to do is: A) start filming on your smart phone, including maybe putting the phone in a tripod as you say, I want you to leave ("Quiero vc emborra. " B) empty your pockets of all your money including the $5000 reais at her demand; C) call the cops. Why?

    12. As suggested by another monger, only carry money and items that you could lose, eg, I went to VM tonight with 200 reais at most, distributed in 3 wallets. I also agree carrying a burner phone is best, but I need to follow this good advice too. (thanks for those good tips).

    Friday Mabs, Sunday VM

I agree with the comment of BMo814.

TrueBlue's attitude is arrogant, and not my taste in how to enjoy Brazil.

I sat across the table from ISG TrueBlue at Mabs on Friday and watched him converse with a GDP by this method of passing a cell phone back and forth, agreeing to a program, and ISG TrueBlue didn't even realize that his GDP choice was a Transvestite -- albeit a very passable Trans. There is a lot more to communication that comes from just a computer in your hand.

In the event, ISG TrueBlue was saved by my girl, ex-4 x4 Fanny, pointing out that his "girl" was a boy with a tit job and a wig. For her vigilance, I tipped her 100 reais, as did ISG TrueBlue. To be fair, it's not his fault, rather the fault of Mab's for not screening the "girls" well enough.

On Sunday, I did a pussy patrol with ISG Chris H and his friend to VM.

We went to the OP across from Mosaico.

    We walked through VM.

We went back to the OP and planned.

We did not want to pay up for Mosaico's higher prices, since there was not much selection due to the rain.

So we had a few burgers and beers.

Then we went back into VM and marked targets, and blew our loads.

I picked a negra who said she would do BBFS for $100. I tipped her $20 (so she could get credits on her phone, so she could contact me on Facebook and pass me her whatsapp number for sessions at my apartment). She was a 5, but had a nice BBFS pussy, and I blew a load on her shoulder like a gentleman, smoked a little, and then had a beer and linked up with my wingmen Chris H and his buddy. We got the number of "bruna" a hot 21 YO morena falsa magra, for the cost of a beer (8 reais for a Brahma).

Then a high priority target of mine -- a Mulata 19 year old with no kids -- came bouncing across the road to give me a hug, and say when we going to do pernoite. I scheduled with her for Monday at 17 h (double booking since Skin Kira Noir Diamond is supposed to meet me at 16 h for another pernoite) . So life is good.

    Monger on fellas.

Secondly I haven't been to Rio( touchdown Wednesday from SP)but when you get to SP you wont hear many speaking English I don't know if most here do or don't but doesn't appear to have hindered their ability to make money. I see cars and fly clothes and hoes like I'm back in San Fransisco. The only people I have heard speaking English is the front desk people and couple Americans I spoke too and a young Asian dude from Belgium .It just sits kinda weird with me when people make those statements. Ask any long time member they will say learn some Portuguese. I believe you said will be here a month so you have time. I don't speak good Portuguese but I have gotten pats on the back for what I do know and I know they appreciate the effort. Yes I will whip out the phone when necessary but 1) I don't like pulling out my phone a lot (streets are watching) Secondly it's a more organic experience speaking the local language. I understand not all of us dig culture most are here just to use the people up and go home but not me, I like to connect with the people on some level not carry the attitude bend to my will because I have a pocket full of dollars. I ain't hating my guy just saying.

I hear you, I always have connecting flights. Usually that connecting flight gives me a hard reminder there will be very little English spoken LOL. Especially when announcements and everyone around you is speaking that different tongue LOL. Like this trip I had a connect in Houston when I boarded I sat wrong seat so I tell the guy my bad do you want to switch, didn't understand a word. Portuguese only and we was just leaving the states LOL. Good thing dude in the middle was Brazilian-American and bridged that gap. I just try to get in where I fit in when I'm in another place, follow the laws, follow the customs and talk like they do. When I'm in the DR I say Klk manito, in Mexico I say a la verga guey. In Colombia I say que chimba hijueputa and here in Brazil tudo ótimo. No offense to nobody but I'm not with that elitist what I consider elitist attitude you should speak what I speak bcuz of however you feel.

For short trips in the modern age, you really don't have to worry about speaking the language of the country you're visiting. No country wants to turn away tourism dollars because the foreigner can't speak their language if they don't have to. Just don't go demanding people speak your language in their own country and you're generally fine. Even a few of the girls I was with were wanting to learn English not because they wanted to go to England or America, but because it's an internationally recognized language of commerce and travel, and it would serve them with not just their customers but wherever they wanted to travel to. In general, just be kind / polite and level-headed people are willing to overlook communication hurdles.

Schwab no longer does hard credit pulls when you open an account. They changed that policy late last year. Just open a brokerage account and bank account and make a deposit and you are good to go. It was a very easy process and the card worked at all the ATMs in Rio.

General report on the last two weeks in Rio:

I no longer recommend the Pestana hotel. The staff is great, the location is great, and it is girl friendly. However, the damn place is in urgent need of renovation. I had to move rooms twice due to things just being broken in some way. Two rooms had damaged / jammed balcony doors. None of the three rooms started with a safe. Two rooms had toilets that did not properly flush. The elevator takes foooorrreeevvverrr (always sounds like it's going to fall down the damned shaft), and only two of three are in operation (perhaps because the hotel is operating at reduced capacity? The hot water often did not work. Two rooms had inoperable phones. The first time they moved me, they actually moved me to a room with an inferior view on the wrong side of the building. So, again, I don't recommend it.

For escorts, I would lean heavily on Barra VIPs or Rio VIPs. Pictures were generally more accurate than using say photoacompanhantes. Still, a lot an extra two hours for your appointment as your girl will almost definitely be late. They suck at time management. Also, you will often be talking / whatsapping / whatever with an agent, rather than the girl herself, and the agent will claim to be said girl. This can often account for a girl being confused / unaware when you request a particular service that she's not comfortable with despite you "confirming" that she was. Photoacompanhantes does have some real postings, so it's still worth checking now and then. Just keep in mind that things that seem too good to be true often are. I had 4 successful if severely late appointments through Barra / Rio VIPs and a couple with PA. Just keep in mind you will be paying more for Barra VIPs / Rio VIPs. A lot of them stay over in Barra, but a good chunk of them stay in around Copacabana, and you can narrow down your search with the filter options. I recommend picking closer ones when possible to help mitigate how insanely late they often are.

For clubs like Monte Carlo, Centaurus, Solarium, and. Some other one somewhere in Centro. I much preferred Centaurus for selection (I tend to go for younger paler sorts). It's definitely not the cheapest option, however. Keep in mind it's closed on Sundays and several holidays, for you folks used to places like that being open every day. If you arrive prior to 8 pm, you may be swarmed by the girls as you may very well be the only dude there. Some are fine with this, I found it annoying, plan accordingly. I had a session with two gals from Centaurus and continued to see one outside of the place.

For prives, do not trust the pictures they share in various pictures about their staff. Almost without exception, they are heavily touched up. This is not to say they're necessarily ugly, just that the too good to be true rule applies here as well. These tend to be open M. F and not late at night, plan accordingly. Having been to six of them, I can't say I preferred one over the others.

This will probably be my first and last trip to Rio as I want to hit Europe next, but I don't regret coming.

I do enjoy more than just sex, I like to take the girl to eat, stroll around, go to beach, visit touristy spots, even have traveled to other city / country (in which case, she becomes a GF), since I don't personally feel I need to fuck many girls or many times to be satisfied. While I have read people doing that in Brazil, I need to figure out how to find these girls who are up for it, tinder doesn't real work for me, badoo is full of uglys, no gogo here. Perhaps I will try boates places like Kalabria, Dolce Vita, Mabs but not sure about the vfm there and lack of English (and covid risk in nightclubs?) If someone can point me where to look, I would appreciate.
I found and enjoyed 3 great gfs, one thru Brazilcupid, 1 beautiful Colombian chick visiting I met on the tourbus to see the Christo, and the last off a dating / foreign wife finder website I googled. (can't remember the name) Only one spoke english the rest we google translated happily outside of sex. You can try Latinamericancupid also without joining and see if they have many in the area chicas active in the last week before deciding to try it out.
