This will be my first ever trip to Brazil and indeed S. America. Usually, I go to Asia and Ukraine however they're out of the question. So.

I plan to land in Rio and stay in an Airbnb for 2 weeks, do the whole tourist thing, and then move onto another city where I'll base myself for 6 weeks with a few internal flights to other cities for tourism and mongering.

Today I was strolling down Buenos Aires on my way to check out a couple privs in the building in Praa Olavo Bilac 28 and as I approach 44, I see a door opened and the light on with two gentlemen sitting outside. Definitely avoid the second one as it's a hostel for backpackers. As mentioned the first one closed in June 2019.

I had my first new year in a big house party opposite Copacabana.

The highlight was of course the fireworks, but for me, equally impressive was the mini war between rich dude's house fireworks. I mean like small 15 minute mad minutes.
