If you have Amex Platinum or Chase Sapphire, they'll match the lowest airfare you find and you can use your Amex or Chase points. You could also transfer your points for miles but you'd be paying the airlines rate. Sometimes the points to miles conversion works out in your favor though. Unfortunately, not too often.
Clickandfly is the correct website and the one that I use to purchase tickets. The lower fares are available after you sign in so you would need to register. I'm scheduled to arrive in Rio in two weeks (unless work prevents me) and my ticket through BACC was $740 round trip from DC.

Thank you for a helpful and informative reply. I do wish that more places would offer frequent-fucker programs too LOL! Although, 4 x 4's fuck before 4 discount was nice too.

The frequent fuck program still exists at both Solarium and Monte Carlo. I get free entrance all the time at Solarium because of it. Just ask them to register your name and your fingerprint. I think you have to spend $700 R (it may have gone up I can't recall) on a visit to get free entrance on the next visit.
I wasn't sure if it was Monte Carlo or (now defunct) Luomo, but I remember mentioning that flyer to a Solarium guy (only remember his perfect English) and he was like "no shit they're really doing that?" But I thought it's long gone anyway, would've saved a few bucks over the years.

Monte Carlo had such a program.

Come on Cane, you're suppose to be a seasoned traveler.

I am a seasoned traveler who has been to over 50 countries. But never used a consolidator (and did not know that this company was one). So stuff it pal.

You can't use miles with a consolidator, charter, etc.

BACC from what I understand is a consolidator, they may buy blocks of seats on the cheap from the airlines and then they are able to sell at a discount. They primarily deal only in Brazil, the owner has offices in Rio, New York and Newark New Jersey, he primarily deals with a Brazilian clientele. I used to use them many years ago but now I like to play with my miles and you can't do that with them. I don't know how many times I've been asked if I knew the owner by Brazilians in Rio, apparently he is well known and liked and puts on the Brazilian day festival once a year in New York around Brazil street, it's a big deal.

Bacctravel used to have hidden airfare deals to Brazil. Is that even possible in this day and age with the transparency brought on by the internet?
