Planning on a return trip to Rio this December. Last time I was there was probably 15 years ago when the center of the nightlife was Help disco. Enjoyed sitting at the bars out front of Help with a beer watching the action on the street. (Good times) Reading the thread, it seems like quite a bit has changed. Has any bar replaced Help or the outdoor action that was out front?

How about the crime level? Then you were perfectly fine on the beach and walking the streets at night. How much has that changed?

Mabs is the only freelancer bar around with no cover to my knowledge. I have not been to Dolce Vita & the other clip joints.

Uber is so cheap it is not worth taking the risk of walking at night. Cost me are $6 to get back to my apartment last night from Mabs to Pompeu Loureiro 99, with no traffic a good 6-8 minute drive.

Best value action are the Centro Termas like 502 or 65, next level would be Cancun & 4 x4 whenever it reopens.

Finally, I figured out that they realized I was a gringo from my profile pic and my writing skills and that was the reason why they were trying charge me more money.

Once I changed my picture to a photo in Lapa and started using Google translate, the bullshit stopped. Also, I would start the convo with "I saw your ad on the internet, 200 R for 2 hours. ".

I have a google number that I use for my whatsapp hooker site contacts. I never put any picture on it. Just blank or whatever comes there as far as I know. I go through photoacomp to see the chicks I want and put them into my phone as xCassandra 23 GIG, xLuiza 26 GRU, etc.

On my phone I can open only that second whatsapp and select those specific contacts to be added into it. Then the message I send is Vc ta disponivel pra fazer um programa? If they say yes I say Quanto? It is usually the same price as the site. I have even managed to get them down lower than the price on the site on some occaisions by asking if they could do it for cheaper. I have never done it with a Brazilian phone number (I let mine go when whatsapp became popular) so I would assume they would not think I was a local from the start.

Since I have never mongered in Rio, I can't exactly tell how it is, but I was hoping I could take them back to my apartment in Copacabana though.

Going all the way to VM to find a girl to bring all the way back to Copacabana kind of defeats the purpose of going to VM. There are many more options closer like privees, termas, internet chicks; especially for what you would wind up giving a chick to go from VM to Copa. I have done it before, but under different circumstances than what you are talking and not going there specifically with that intention.

One thing that has happened to me on this trip and I wanted to pass along to everyone else is that you might need to hide the fact that you are American on whatsapp when dealing with freelancers. (Please, no responses saying that I am wrong or it hasnt been your experiences), This happened to me this week with the first 3 women that I contacted from photoacompahante, it might be a coincidence, but I doubt it.

My whatsapp profile is a picture of myself in front of the Statue of Liberty and all 3 women when I was communicating with them, tried to charge 2 X 3 times the price that was advertised on the internet!! When I would call them out on the price discrepancy, they all had a bullshit excuse as to why they were asking for more. If you can't laid in Rio by a non-pro during Carnaval, you're not applying yourself!

I got laid in Rio last week from a Tinder non pro without paying Carnival premium on accommodation.

The advice I give everyone, tourist and monger alike, is pretty much the same. You are better off to arrive after Wednesday. If you want to see the Samba schools go to the Champions' parade on the Saturday after Carnaval. There will be an influx of girls who should still be around but the tourists will be gone. Most people who have never been, do not know that apartments are usually rented by the Carnaval period. So, if you want to stay just a couple of days, you will still pay for a week or more. For me, the bloc parties get old as does the very repetitive not that interesting mostly beating on something "music. " The only thing good about them is the opportunity to hookup with locals and tourists. Do not overlook that some female tourists traveled to Carnaval with that in mind.

Question for guys who have been at Carnival time. I know the city & beaches will be packed but what is the P4P scene like during that week?

Do many Termas girls take time off to enjoy the party in town?

I have this idea about rushed sessions & higher prices unless at clubs were price in controlled.

Is there a P4P benefit to coming that week?

Still not opened. Lots of luxury cars in front, the owners (Dad and two brothers were there). All three promised the place will reopen on Wednesday. I hope it does, got some reais to spend.
