The trash places in both cities have treated me very well, and I have found the true diamonds there.

That's a Rio tread I don't know about sampa maybe they're more educated and less ignorant, arrogant.

In some of those shitty holes they don't let you choose the time you want or don't want to attend you at all.

The only reason for that cause you're a gringo (to them you're a stupid stinky idiot who needs to be ripped off).

Gringos don't complain give tips for nothing etc.

The word gringo become a "and"word for me I don't let them call me a gringo at those shitty places called prives low price houses.

Someone diamonds just an other regular stones to others.

I know few guys on this board trying hard to make a propaganda for those places talking about diamonds and pearls.

But that's a far away from the truth.

At the end of the day who cares if they don't want to attend you and treat you with respect.

They didn't get your money.

And they're there cause of the money.

P.S If you have really large amounts of cash you should find a doleiro.

For large amounts I exchange far from Zona Sul.

Pretty much all tourists stay in Zona Sul so there is a large supply of dollars there. Go to non-tourist areas and the exchangers see hardly any dolar supply and need to get their dollars somewhere else.

When I exchange larger amounts outside main parts of the city I typically get 10-20 centavos more on the dollar over the best rates in Zona Sul.

I'm a little bit surprised about all the reports of Copacabana prives, like 583. Why not walk down one block to the metro, head to centro and have a much wider range of prives to choose from with better quality and lower prices?

This was my first time in Rio so I didn't want to push my luck. Also I had to do lot of sightseeing.

I will certainly try centro next time. Can you please suggest two or three places similar to copa583 that are close to metro stations and how much they charge?

If you have a larger amount of cash to change, my advice is to do like this:
1. First check the rate on PM Turismo website:
http://www.pmturismo.com.br
The rate on PM Turismo website is decent, but you can expect a clearly better rate if you negotiate well with the cambios mentioned below.
2. Then you'll get an idea what's the going rate in the casa de cambios.
3. Go to centro and check out Casa Behar and PMTurismo on Av Rio Branco. Check the rates.
4. Then you head to Rua Xavier da Silveira in Copa. On that street you have 3 cambios and around the corner on NS Cop you have 2 more. In five minutes you can check the rate at all the cambios. BlameitonRio-Bobby will give you a bad rate. If you go to Berthas make sure you speak with the obese guy (the owner).
P.S If you change Euros you get a extra good rate if you have very neat and new 500 Euro bills.

Always negotiate with the owner. In Brazil everything is possible to negotiate.
When I arrive in Rio I usually end up with gaining R$500 just by comparing the rates.

This is a decent boate. No cover charge. R15 sodas. The chicks weren't my taste. Silicone, muscle, tats. OK crowd for midweek. I can't really compare to other nearby venues since it's not weekend. I really like Mab's because it's low cost. I haven't been to their competitor that starts with a M. They charge R100 for drinks.

I asked few questions on this forum, you guys were very helpful in making my trip a memorable one so here is something from my side.

I arrived in Rio early morning and took uber from airport to Copacabana. About are 30 due to rush hour traffic. Checked in and went to Copa583 around 11 which became my default go to place. There were about 10 girls in line up, they all enter rooms, introduce themselves and kiss on the cheeks. All were quite enthusiastic. However about 70% were black, not my cup of tea. Settled on a slim beauty, Marcelli for an hour 170 or 180. The room was very clean and decent with a massage bed and a regular queen sized bed with glass shower. Excellent way to spend quality time with chicks without worrying about them going through your pockets when you are taking shower. It's hard to pinpoint the best time to visit Prives. Girls seem to have flexibility in their sched. I saw 3 ladies I liked in the Copa 583 lineup last week. I didn't pick the first 4 ladies today. The receptionist told me to return in 5 minutes. And their would be 3 more ladies. I'm not sure how many ladies Copa employs but it seems I've seen 80% of their lineup in my 2 visits. I thought between Copa and Eden I had a month supply of Options. I was wrong. At Eden only 3 chicks were available at 16:30. The queue of 15 beauties is not an everyday thing. With boates you have more time to decide and talk. More costly for motel and garota and less safe and discreet. Some trash places have long commutes and bad quality not worth small savings. I'm not going to waste my time or Copa 583 time by going back since it seems they offer about 7 garotas. I'm going to venture to other prives. I hit Bel Prazer Fri. And they had 4 garotas at 11:20 am. The place was kinda backwards because half of girls that kissed the latino customer didn't give me a kiss. Who the fuck makes a Saturday a national holiday? Brazil, that's who! It pays to research holidays for your mongering destination, and yesterday I made the mistake of not doing so. Round trip from Barra to Solarium and back jacked up on Viagra, priceless. Fuck me, everything was closed. Even my regulars were either "sick" or busy. Research baby, research!

You were not alone, I was mighty bummed out on Sunday. Day was a total waste, can't believe nothing is open in touristy area of Copacabana in one of the largest cities int the world. All shops were closed including all sex venues. Wish I knew earlier that it is this bad on Sundays.

I made a fantastic decision to visit Euro Spa near Jardim Oceanico Metro. I saw 2 cuties out 4 and opted for the dupla for 300. The third chick was cool too. Priscilla is a slim blonde with tight body. My other GP was more thicker with a big bunda. The sex was better than the massage. I give the massage a be.
