Day 1:

Landed at 11:00 local after nearly 20 hours of flying and layovers. With an aching back and numbed ass, I fortuitously had no issues getting through customs and claimed my baggage, when I received a text from the people I am renting an apartment from asking when to send someone to pick me up. Walking on I tried to get a SIM card. I wanted one from TIM since they seemed to have a good signal where I was but there were no TIM stores near me so instead I went into VIVO. There I was told that they had SIM chips but not in Copacabana but other locations. I then tried an electronic store and was told to go shopping Rio Sul. There is a TIM store there so I think that's what he meant.
