The know-it-all about Rio think they know it all about Rio, and I doubt they really know it all about Rio. Just because they see some shops close down and have a talk with some people, they think they get the big picture and are absolutely correct. And obviously, they think Mabs is the same as the "poorest countries" where women have sex for food.

I didn't see Brazil on Turgid's list. Did anybody? But when you stop and think about it, a lot of guys all over the world actually do at least hope girls will fuck for food. Isn't that what you call taking her out for dinner and a movie (which usually includes even more food)? LOLOLOL! Problem is that with "regular" girls it requires many, many dinners and movies and all sorts of other things before she puts out. If even then! So, a guy like me chooses to stick with the tutes in a termas or an FKK. Find them, feel them, finger them, fuck them, forget them. But don't you go feed them! Let them get their own damn food with the money you just paid them! Most top FKKs sell food and some termas too ha!

The economy experts in the forum says recession means more prostitution. I doubt that's right in the case of Rio. The privê scene in centro in Rio should give a fairly good view of the current situation in Rio. Many privées have closed down because the lack of clients. The privées live on the locals coming in for a daytime f*ck. As Brazil is in a crisis right now there are less customers who can afford to visit privées. I've spoken with several puteiro gerentes who all told me how business has gone down because of the crisis. Even Vila Mimosa who charges R$60 have much less girls and customers because of the crisis.

I have no problem with mongers visiting the poorest countries to get it on with the abundance of providers they say they see there. That would leave more for me in the richer countries which they say have less prostitutes. No one, however, will deny that that the country with the most prostitutes in the world is the good old USA the world's richest country. The problem however is the damned christian right who are f..king up the scene there. In spite of their actions the hookers are out in great numbers all over the country. However, give me Brazil, Canada, Thailand, Germany, Colombia where its cheaper and the working girls provide better service.

In fact, low income does make P4P easier, because the poorer a country is, the more likely you can get semi-pros or even non-pros to have sex. What brings down prostitution is something non-economical, such as government legislation, social morality, feminist awareness, etc.
You absolutely nailed it with the complete truth. I have personal knowledge of some of these countries (won't say which), and I know first-hand that prostitution is very alive and thriving in them. We have to remember that most prostitution is local and depends primarily on the people living in a place for it to happen there. That's sometimes easy for us to forget since a site like this is heavily frequented by traveling "foreign" mongers. But that's not how most prostitution goes down. And I don't know why some people would think that poverty isn't a main driver of prostitution. It totally is! And like you said, plenty in a poor country will even fuck for food. Let us remember the relatively recent Oxfam scandals in Haiti and Africa: https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsan...ian-aid-world..

You are correct and anyone who says we are in a worldwide recession isn't in tune with what's going on in the world. Here is what the IMF has to say about GDP growth around the globe.

Then again, it will mean little to someone who doesn't understand what a recession is in the first place.

I will still argue my point. For most of us here, we need a certain amount of tourist infrastructure and security. Let's throw out poor, Muslim-dominated countries for practical reasons. I don't think Muslim men are any more virtuous, but I'm guessing they aren't exactly thrilled for Westerners to come and taste the local fruit.

I know some of those countries on the list have a local scene. You can hire a guide and he would take you through the local scene step-by-step. Your money will go very far. In fact, I know some adventurous guys who had a blast in Mozambique (women, beaches, food). Since I appreciate women of all races and ethnicities, I don't have any dietary restrictions.

I second what Gropai says. A little bit of charm can easily get you some non-pros. You can probably get an all-nighter for $30-$50 in those countries.

If you are predisposed to not find African women attractive that's your prerogative. In the cities, you will find attractive, young black women in the right clubs. We are not talking about villagers who have nursed three kids by age twenty.

Yes, but I think it's because those places do not have a lot of attractive women. The main reason why men monger is to sleep with attractive women that they usually won't get back home. To bang a attractive Brazilian or Colombian back in America is very hard when you think about how much money your going to have to spend on dates and time your going to waste just to get them into bed.

I hope I'm not offending anyone but places like the Congo, Sierra Leone, Rawanda, just to name a few off your list. Most of the population of girls are not attractive or just borderline ugly. If you want to bang ugly chicks you don't really need to leave the country. You can't really compare to a place like Brazil, Columbia, DR where your going to find very beautiful attractive females. Model material. I'm sure there are model chicks in the Congo but it's very few. Most of them are ugly and most guys would not pay any real money to bang a chick in the Congo. Which is why there is no real mongering scene.

    Man,

You should check out those places yourself before you say that. I don't know about others, but prostitution is rampant in Uganda. Almost any major club and bar have women roaming around looking for opportunities to make some money, pros, semi-pros, non-pros alike. You don't need foreign mongers to frequent this country to boost prostitution, most customers are local Africans. Men need to have sex, foreigner or not, so there's always business in the prostitution industry. In the poorest countries, women would even have sex in exchange for food instead of money. In fact, low income does make P4P easier, because the poorer a country is, the more likely you can get semi-pros or even non-pros to have sex: in Kampala, 50 percent of time you can approach a random non pro in the street and offer to have a date with her and buy her some nice things she usually can't afford, like a good meal, which is not expensive for a foreigner, and then get laid.

Bad economy does promote prostitution, because that's the fastest way, if not the only way, a hot girl can earn way more money than if she does other jobs. What brings down prostitution is something non-economical, such as government legislation, social morality, feminist awareness, etc. A good example is Cuba, which legally bans prostitution. Believe me, if prostitution was legal in Cuba, women would be crazy to sell their bodies for money. Another good example is North Korea. North Korean women are generally pretty, well, by Asian standards at least. Most of them don't need the surgery like South Korean women do to have a pretty face, but few of them think about doing prostitution to make money, even though the country's economy is bad as hell, because prostitution is highly stigmatized in the country, paid sex is regarded as a disgusting sin.

In Sao Paolo there is more money floating around than in Rio so all.

The establishments can pay the subornos to the authorities and they frequent the places as well for free-.

I know this for a fact as I met several detectives who work for SP police stationed in Rio and they all said same thing.

Some hobbyists are under the mistaken view that in a recession more women would be out of a job and as a result turn to prostitution but that is not necessarily the case, if it were so then the poorest countries would have the highest incidences of p4p but that is not so. It appears that recession has the opposite effect of reducing the prevalence of our hobby.

And yes, I think the poorest countries generally have the highest incidences of p4p. When communist countries first started opening up in the 90s, they were great mongering destinations until some countries drove it underground. Also, the prices started to climb for the hottest girls in these former communist bloc countries as global mongers increased demand. I would tell you Venezuela should be where the action is heating up, but I think the hottest girls have bailed out for Spain and other countries. That's the flip side of globalization the hot girls can just as easy go to the affluent mongers in Europe and elsewhere.

I think BwanaD presents an interesting picture of today's mongering.

I agree and also disagree. Depending on how far back you compare just about all capitals have lost many of their major mongering spots. Instead the prefeituras have turned some of these clean-up areas to leisure areas for families etc. Yes, the mongering spots that have suffered most are the most visible spots.

Regarding the amount of prostitution I find a big downturn, specially in the Capitals in Nordeste e.g Fortaleza, Recife, São Luís, Macapá etc. On the bright side even the most tiny cities in Brazil have puteiros. I've visted 79 cities in Brazil and I can't recall any city that didn't have any puteiro of some kind.

In the case of Copacabana the mongering is limited to Mabs, Dolce Vita, strip clubs, privées, termas, streetwalkers and girls frequenting the beach and quiosques. Vila Mimosa will be untouched unless they decide to construct the trem-bala train between Rio and São Paulo. Regarding the privées in centro. There are a few buildings that have got rid of all their privées, but there are still hundreds of privées left in centro. However the number of privées in centro have decreased the last years. Mainly because Brazil is suffering an economic crise. Less locals have money to spend on bunda so some privées have to close down.

As you wrote internet also have changed the mongering scene. The GPs use social media, escort sites etc to sell their bundas. The disadvantages are less security and in some cases less customers, but the advantages are several. No puteiro boss will take 40% of what the girls earn and they don't have to pay fines if they doesn't show up at work.

These places have always catered to locals more than visitors because they can be hard to find, and with the exception of the termas, almost no one in the places speaks anything but Portuguese. But there are literally hundreds of privs in Copacabana and, especially, Centro, where 2, 3 or more girls are open for business.
My girlfriend lives in bum fuck Mato Grosso. Her tri-city area has 1200 people. So you got to figure that 300 or so are men. She said there are 35 fuck houses for the area. So I don't even want to think about how many there must be in a city of millions like Rio.
