Thailand is way way better for safety, accommodation, food and value for money. Brazil is none of these but the woman have great asses. I am prepared to put up with a lot of shit for a great ass. My Vote is for Brazil.

In my opinion it is a tough choice as both countries have their strength and weaknesses. I have been visiting Rio and Pattaya for years. I speak Portuguese but not thai, which indirectly shows my preference.

Girls: For me Brazilian ladies wins hands down. On average sex is better and I find Brazilians more attractive. Prices are cheaper in Thailand though. If you want a live-in girlfriend I would think this would be easier in Thailand.

Food: Clearly a very individual choice. I do not particularly care for Thai food, so while Brazilian food is not the best in the world I prefer it to Thai food. In terms of cost Thailand is cheaper.

Safety: Thailand is the clear winner. It is much safer than Brazil.

Accommodation: Thailand is a clear winner in terms of value for money. Apples to apples Thailand is significantly cheaper and good condos or hotels can be had for at reasonable cost.

Groceries: I can find pretty much everything I want in both countries. Prices are lower in Thailand.

Locals: I would like to add this category as I feel the attitude of locals are an important part of how much I enjoy a place. For me Brazil wins this category as I, unlikely in Thailand, have never had the feeling that the locals disliked foreigners.

At the end of the day for me the decision depends on budget constraints. If I were on a tight budget Thailand would be a clear winner, while if money was less of an issue Brazil is a winner for me given my preference for Brazilian ladies and language skills.

I'm in a quandary over the 2 best mongering destinations in the world. I know the issue has been debated ad nauseam. Being in Brazil now for the past 2 months I must say I'm having a great time and could just imagine how fantastic it would be retiring here. So, should I choose Brazil over Thailand? Here is my latest tally:

Food........................... Brazil (this is personal taste, I prefer Brazilian fare over Thai).

Safety........................ Thailand (crime is a big problem here).

Accommodation.......... Thailand.

Groceries.................... Thailand (heck groceries here are more expensive than back home in the good ole US).

Women....................... Brazil (hands down the hottest women in the world).

Working girls service.... Brazil (again hands down the best in the world).

Its a tie?

Brazil vs Thailand is a bit off topic for the Rio forum. Just have a couple of tweaks on the analysis. So Paulo is fairly safe, IMO. There are several neighborhoods I don't mind walking alone in after midnight, or having sex outdoors. The cost of groceries depends on the store. My diarista in Rio spent 90 are per week on groceries for me and that was good for five or six meals, and she was a good cook and cleaner. Rent varies. 2/2 off Av. Alantica with weekly maid service is $usd2000 per month. I can get the same price in So Paulo for a studio, but the street sex neighborhood runs another 1 k per month. If you don't mind living in the suburbs of SP, you can buy a 2 bed 3 bath for about $usd200 k.

I have gotten responses from some phenomenal members of ISG. On the Jakarta board the king of Indonesia, Smoothy, confirmed for me that Thailand was the best in South East Asia. I had an amazing spell of mongering in Jakarta 2015. Natty has certainly finessed my reckoning by placing emphasis on criteria in a manner that I can't argue with. Mr. E, however, has surprised me, I thought he would be one to give it up for the Latina booty. Nevertheless, I have been reading about the decreasing talent in Thailand as well. Both FuckA and Chezz seem to favor Brazil. Komo, you have my deepest sympathy re your Thailand visit. Not being able to monger there during a 10 day stay is the worst form of cold turkey. If I am to consider the views submitted by the experts overall I must, at this time, tip the scale in favor of Thailand, if objectivity is to prevail. But these damn garotas..... I did 2 today in SP, a branca and a morena, no way I can get Thais looking like that!

Fuck that. I lived in Rio for 5 years and have lived in Pattaya the last 8. I always thought I would retire to Rio, but that was the old Rio. 2018 I say Thailand. My rent is $125/ month and I get chicks for $30 all night. My heart will always be Brazil, but as far as fun and economical, Thailand hands down.

I love Brazil warts and all. And you're correct on all counts-financial etc and both countries have stunning natural beauty but just like with Dominican Republic, the people just don't do it for me.

Hi Turgid, nice to see you over in the Brazil forum. Here is my spreadsheet analysis of Thailand vs Brazil:

Weight ... Thailand ..... Brazil.

30% ....... Girls 7 ........ Girls 6.

30% ..... Service 7 ... Service 8.

10% ..... Food 9 ....... Food 7.

20% .... Safety 10 ..... Safety 3.

10% ..... Hotels 7 ...... Hotels 4.

100% ... Score 7.8 .... Score 5.9

The main difference in my analysis from yours is that I assign subjective weights to each category (first column) of the factors that I consider important. This is a very subjective decision. Assign your weighting preference to this analysis and you may arrive at a totally different outcome.

Girls & service are the 2 categories of major importance to me so they are weighted heavily (60%) and equally in my calculations. Note, that I personally find Thai girls more attractive than Brazilians, but I admit Brazilian girls are wilder and les inhibited in bed, but when it comes right down to it, I like Thai and Brazilian girls about equally, but for different reasons, so the determing factors for me, anyway, turn out to be the less important categories like safety (which includes crime stats, ease of getting around, no hassles, & relative ambiance of the place), purchasing power at hotels, and local cuisine. So, Thailand comes out on top in my analysis every time. Which is why I have not been to Brazil in ages although I do have some fond memories of the girls. I will probably visit Brazil again one of these years, but I am not holding my breath. Ha Ha.
