I know the Rio scene mid-2000's and would've placed 4 x 4 right after Centaurus. The sheer numbers at 4 x 4 always meant that I would find a handful of girls perfect for me. Blondes, brunettes and the occasional redhead. My tastes probably lean toward Eurocentric, but I like some pop in that ass.

I haven't been to Rio in awhile, but I get the impression the terma scene has been very volatile. I don't know if Centaurus has re-established its consistent dominance with hot girls. MC and Solarium were always day by day. 4 x 4 seems to have less variety. Posters mention big asses and tats.

Regardless, I think any newbie visiting Rio needs to go to Centro and check out 4 x 4 for the sheer numbers and the fun vibe. I've spent hours there just hanging out and just happy to get a phone number or two for later at the apartment.

4 by 4 is the best terma in Rio, I had been there about 40 times on my last trip to Rio. The vibes are better in 4 by 4 than that of any terma.

Let me point out a few things. I can go to a tier 2 terma in centro and find a hotter girl than for hour who hasn't been taken at all that night because the Brazilians are too cheap-just want a beer and an ass grab. The service has been better, wilder and more intense than Centaurus and 650 reais cheaper an hour. Going to Cent is plain lazy if you know better and I wouldn't set foot there ever again as anyone with any wider experience of Rio should agree to. Those places are rip off joints and don't have the hottest girls by Rio standards at all. Matter fact I've seen better girls in vila mimosa than there and taken numbers and brought them to the crib or motel for 150/200 for hours and the girls have been more down to earth, more appreciative and more humble and intense in general but to each his own. Give 600 reais to the homeless and I'll show you hotter girls for 200 than at Centaurus and btw this is comin from a cheap gringo who in his green days spent 1800 there first year I came on a birthday dupla and 15 drinks but after that its been so poor and a mouse trap.Avoid and pm me for the real Rio.

I'm sorry, but I too am one who must beg to differ. The first terma I ever went to in Rio was Centaurus. And the first girl I ever had there was a smoking hot morena with a 10 body and a 9 face. Kissing on me like I was her man back from Afghanistan! And a good fuck too! My all-time Rio favorite turned out to be the Centaurus girl in the first attached pic. Well, a monger like me is not interested in dropping a bunch of money for a plane ticket and a decent hotel in a faraway land only to find myself fucking in a funky, stinky room standing up with my shoes and socks on! But, I would never tell anybody else not to go to "trash" clubs or to skip Vila Mimosa all together. As far as I'm concerned, it's all the "real Rio", and guys should go out and experience as much as they have the time, interest, and energy for. And then from there, they can figure out what works best for them, and stick to that. Like Turgid, I have found that the more expensive places have a stronger "critical mass" of the hottest girls according to my tastes (yes, a diamond can be found anywhere). And they definitely always have the better, cleaner facilities, which means a hell of a lot to me in my calculus of where to go.

The cheapest paid sex that I have had is Calle 18 in Ecuador at $6 and Santa Fe in Colombia at $8. And I should add Vila Mimosa in Rio for a little over $6 back when it was 25 reais and you could get almost 4 reais for 1 USD. I also routinely give chicks in Thailand $30 for all night. Chick came last night at 1 am and I took her to work today at 1 pm. That ain't happening in Sosua no more.

You can still choose Eastern Europe and Russia over Dominican Republic. FKK is not as expensive as Centaurus. Sex is not as good as Brazilians girls living in Brazilian or Russian girls living in Russia.

I've been to 57 countries and shit can happen anywhere. Brazil is without a doubt one my favorites. Use common sense and don't go where you shouldn't go. I do speak the language so that helps but I would say you are fine going to a terma solo. Probably one of the safer places you could go.

As is stated ad nauseum beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Outside of the US I have always found that the more expensive the place the better it is for me. Now it may be that I may very well see a hotter provider or two in a cheaper place than a more expensive one but GENERALLY a more expensive establishment will have better looking girls and will ALWAYS have better facilities. However, money is a perennial factor; I would rather hobby in FKKs in Germany rather than Sosua in the Dominican Republic. However, if I could not afford to monger in Germany then I would have just stuck to the DR. Similarly, if I were a poor resident of Rio there is no way I would patronize Centaurus, I would visit VM instead. I am in Sao Paulo now and have been going to the clinicas, I have not entered Scandallo or Bomboa because they are simply above my means although I have plans of paying the entrance fee and feasting on the eye candy before leaving Brazil.

Just to get the facts right:

The price for entrance + 40 minutes in Centaurus is 620 reais. The other 225 reais was for drinks.

I easily found more than five girls that I considered to be better looking than anyone I saw in MC the day before.

Obviously we don't share the same taste in women since you don't like European looking women. To me Centaurus being "eurocentric" isn't a bad thing.

Just stick to termas or fly over to Sao Paulo if you are only into European looking women, in cheap places like vila mimosa and trash clubs, there are only black girls.

Does all the fun shut down in Rio during Holy Week? Looking to make a last minute quick trip! I usually hit the Termas at night and the clinicas during the day. Occasionally I may grab a straggler near Mabs.
