As you know, Edifcio Marques do Erval on Avenida Rio Branco 185 is one of the most important buildings when visiting prives. They have a special system of taking elevators depending to what floor youre heading. Each elevator has a elevator guy running the show.
Yesterday one of the elevators in that building plummeted and hurt three people.

I hope my favourite elevator guy wasn't in that elevator. He always keeps me updated on new prives in the building and he knows which salas that has new girls.

Don't think of using the stairs instead of the elevators in Edifcio Marques do Erval. They have the most paranoid security guy in Rio watching the surveillance cameras. If you use the stairs or stand too long in a corridor watching your priv-list you'll soon hear his voide in the loudspeakers telling you that you have to move on.

I think it was one of the plus sized new hoes in sala 1124 who caused it to crash. They got some serious bunda in there.

When I first traveled to Brazil, the ten-year visa cost only $60.

But it's not the cost of the visa, it's the principle. There's no valid reason for a relatively poor country (Brazil) to require a visa for tourists from a relatively wealthy country (the US).

I don't know when you first traveled to Brazil, but that was probably a 5 year visa for $60. The price was over $100 when they started issuing the 10 year visas.

A valid reason to charge for a visa is the same as it is to charge for anything else; money. Especially if, as you put it, the country is poor. I don't know how many places you have traveled to, but taxes on a plane ticket in and out of London are over $100. And you do not see up in arms posts about how the UK should not be charging those high ass taxes since it is such a rich country, while a poor country like Brazil doesn't even charge half that. In the Dominican Republic last week I paid $75 for a room that was $59 before taxes. 27% tax for a fucking room. The bottom line is that the government is going to get theirs. In some cases you will pay on the front end where you can see it such as with a visa. In other cases it will be where you don't notice it as much as it is in the transportation or hotel taxes.

A price tag of $160 over a 10 year period is "substantial" LOLOLOL? That's $16.00 a year, which I don't find to be a "substantial" investment at all in order to have access to some of the sexiest women on earth!

Nearly every other country in Latin America does not have that requirement (with the exception of Marxist or anti-USA Places such as Venezuela). Brazil's reason for the visa rule is due to a childish, 'back-at-you' attitude. Simply because Brazilian citizens must apply for a visa in order to visit the USA, Brazil then requires USA Citizens to apply for a visa to visit Brazil. They call it a 'reciprocal' arrangement. And whenever the USA Raises the cost of it's visa for Brazilians, Brazil then raises the cost of it's visa for Americans. They even required that USA Citizens go through the hassle of locating and applying at a Brazilian consulate in the US before travel. This policy is silly and counterproductive. Of course, the USA Must have controls on Brazilian tourism into the country. Most Western countries must and do control the influx of visitors from the many less wealthy countries of the world for obvious reasons. The USA, Canada, most of Europe, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore & South Korea would be flooded with millions of 3rd world tourists overstaying their visas, looking for 'a better life', never leaving and essentially becoming illegal immigrants (which has happened anyway, but at a much lesser magnitude than if there were no border controls at all). Brazil is far behind the US economically and politically; most of the population is living in 3rd world conditions. They don't need to restrict our tourism to their country, we are not to looking to escape to Brazil for 'better opportunities'. On the other hand, millions of Brazilians would try escape to the USA In a second. Along with millions of Argentinians, Bolivians, Peruvians, Paraguayans, Ecuadorians, Columbians, Venezuelans, Costa Ricans, Nicaraguans, El Salvadorians, Hondurans, Guatemalans, Mexicans, Cubans, etc.

Just back from a week in Rio. Thanksgiving in Rio, something different.

It was great!

All good fun, nothing new to report except, MABs got a new owner.

I never really liked it there, usually scaggy has-been types, however, don't know if the new guy is doing something different to entice hot girls to come, but there was some absolute stunners every night beginning at about midnite till about 3 am.

Yes, some of the has-been types still hanging, but easy to ignore.

I have changed my flights. I am now travelling on the 16th February instead of early February. My reasons are that I am not travelling to Rio specifically for the Carnival, price increases of hotels, the streets will be too busy, girls charging more.
