Went to Solarium last night, first time in a few years, always out of the way but with Uber from hotel in Copacabana it was only are $13. Place is much better than I remembered. The facilities are excellent, rooms are a nice size and very friendly staff.

Be sure to visit Cancun, actually the Whiskeria, Manhattan. When I go, I stick around awhile and have a few drinks since the girls come in and out of the termas upstairs. You could fly down there by yourself and always have guys to do Terma runs with or go out to eat / drink together. These days you don't have enough of us visiting for that to work.

Despite Rio not being what it was 10-15 years ago, I still encourage you to go. It's a fantastic destination. And if you're there for two weeks, you might as well spend some time in Sao Paulo. IMO that city has more crazy-hot-looking women than anywhere on Earth.

It is not necessary for one to speak the local language to have fun, but its even more fun if you can speak it. Many more doors are opened, and ladies legs for that matter too. There is no place similar to the Medellin Mansion in Rio. I just finished 15 days there a week ago and I am now in Bogota and leave for Rio in a couple days. I don't know of many places worldwide that are like that. The closest 2 that jump to mind would be SL in CR and Blackbeards in DR.

Obviously the more of a local language you speak the better. I don't speak much Portuguese at all and still have a great time in Rio. I have found many more english speakers in Rio than in Medellin. Also knowing Spanish helps sometimes. Some girls do speak Spanish or at least understand enough that they can guess what you are trying to say.

I don't spend much time in either Centro area, just not my favorite venues. During the daytime both places are reasonably safe as long as you act sensibly. At night time the threat levels in each centro rises quite a bit. As for comparing Copa and Poblado they are very different areas. Copa is one of the more heavily tourist beach areas anywhere and with that comes some increased pick-pocketing and petty theft. Poblado is mainly a rich and upscale residential and business area in Medellin, yes they are some tourists there but its not a tourist destination per se.

Hotel for 75-100 and hopefully less?? I really have no idea, I always use an airbnb when in Rio.

I don't pay my employees for each way of their commute to work. We agree on their salary, and then they figure out how the fuck to get to the office to earn their salary. Sure, some get by-law transportation expense reimbursement, but it comes with a salary deduction. Same rule for ho's. Don't quote me BRL $400 and then ask me to pay your uber or taxi. I will be doing my first trip to Brazil in June so I can't speak about the situation in Rio just yet. But I think these constant remarks on different boards here about the decline of quality probably has got a lot to do with the effect of desensitization. Nothing is ever nearly as exciting as the first few times you experience it. Works the same way with any drug or pleasurable activity. It is never as thrilling to go out to regular clubs as when you are 18. Same thing with FKKs or thermas. First few times are the best.
