First, people take themselves too seriously on a board for sex. Hence, my running feud with Sith Vader Cartman, who is a friend and wingman. But for the life of me, I can't understand why 3 pages get filled up with whether to pay upfront, when all that needs be said is don't.

Carnaval sucks from my perspective. It's hot. Most of the girls are unavailable. The ones that are, like at Solarium, are not happy because they're tied up working during carnaval.

Last year I had a mini relationship for free with a girl during Carnival, and we did Buzios for half of the party, which was good.

This year has just sucked during carnival. It's hot, muggy. I don't really like the blocos. My wingmen are really broke dudes who don't have anything to offer the women I'm after. Considering the large amounts of gringos in Rio now there should be some good reports. Why hang around in Rio when the brothels are closed? Maybe because there is the largest party in the world going on in Rio. If somebody isn't interested or capable of going for regular girls there are lots of working girls along the orla in Copacabana. Had a buddy come into town, and he wanted to check out Mabs and Barbarela.

Paying upfront is not a big problem, those girls also have bad experience with some clients I always pay upfront when we are in the room I've never had bad experience you just have to be clear about what you want, many girls I went with they wanted to stay more I wanted them to leave when I pay a girl I just want to fuck her until I'm tired then I go back home.

You left out a very important part of the puzzle: setting. WHERE you are getting the service from makes a hell of a difference. If it is a random street chick or VM girl then paying up front you are more likely to get a raw deal. But if you are in a reputable establishment such as a termas or privee your chances of getting fucked over in a bad way after paying up front exponentially lessen.

Yes, the "where" is extremely important. I thought about that as I was writing but left it out since my post was already long enough, and given the fact that the point you raise should be obvious common sense. It's true that in the normal economic world, we pay after the service is rendered, although there are many exceptions. Plus, it's just plain unrealistic and silly to think that paying for sex is exactly like paying for a hair cut or restaurant meal (examples I've actually read here in the past).

For example, that airline that got you down to Brazil, if the flight was late and misrouted your luggage, you still paid in advance and didn't get anything back for the lousy service.

So the guy doesn't want a lousy lay or get short-timed; and the girl doesn't want to get cheated out of her money. Both sides grapple for the psychological advantage. How to get out of this quandary?

First off, with the agencies and escorts, these girls almost always ask in advance but don't often cheat you because otherwise, they start getting a bad rep (gpguia, etc.). Also I suspect the people who run the agencies strictly train the girls to get the money first.

For you guys out there reading this who are successful in business, if you were running an escort agency, after dealing with a couple of angry girls who didn't get paid (if she didn't get anything, you don't get anything), you'd be training your girls as well to get paid first.

Freelancers working in clubs and bars are a different story. Be careful paying in advance; if you do, more often than not you'll get mediocre service or worse.

Anyway if a chica asks to get paid in advance, I usually now give a short spiel about respect and trust and how I live that way and expect the people I work and deal with to live that way as well. I show her the money, put something on top of it not too heavy, and tell her it's hers once she completes her promise. Then I get her to say she promises to do what we agreed.

If she has any trouble saying it or agreeing, insists on putting the money in her bag, I ask her to leave (after paying her a small go-away fee). Sometimes, they change their mind and get with the program, and it works out OK (or even great). For other girls, it's an ego thing; they'll actually walk away with less money to pretend they're still superior to you in some way. This type can also have serious trust and hatred issues with men in general.

Some girls are sociopath liars, they have no problem promising anything and then totally renege on it. I don't know what the answer is for these types, these girls will lie and betray even the closest family if they had to.

But your average working girl is just a bit flaky and lazy. I'm surprised though that with this type, just getting them to say that they promise to keep their end, makes them a bit less flaky. It's like a little magic (psychology really) that usually works on this personality type.
