Still, if you're you fully vaccinated, I'd pull the trigger even though it's still risky, supposedly. You can rent a simple room / apartment in Barra or Centro for $20-25 a day.
If you're not vaccinated, though, I wouldn't even consider going to Brazil, as much as I take my hat off to brave Vagabundo, who you should contact personally IMHO.
Doesn't matter how healthy you think you are, it's been killing the record number of the Brazilian young lately.
You can buy the best travel insurance, but hospitals in Brazil are in deep shit right now. And I don't think you can be repatriated back home with Covid.
Things are supposedly trending in the right direction, though, so who knows where we're going to be in a few weeks.

Posts: 1493In about 40 days I'm at a crossroads
The family house will be sold (where I live). So the decision is either:
Find something here (not hard but expensive).
Hang out overseas until I can get into one of the various Gov housing programs (HUD, FHA, USDA, etc).
Or make a clean break. I have a Visa it's ironic I got it in 2016 and even paid extra for expedited service and now I don't even need it.
5:1 exchange is better than when I went in 2016.
I would be starting from scratch though I do have some English speaking friends I can hang out with. I found out about Tinder too late while I was down there and of course even though Tinder has opened up profiles to everybody, everywhere, the women won't talk to you (at least not to me) because I'm not in country.
Budget would be roughly what would get with UI since I can apply anytime under the original CARE Act rules which means no work or job search requirement and I'm 1099.
That runs out late August at least the extra weekly amount but that's likely to get extended who knows.
Seems like it's a good time to head to Brazil, thoughts?

This applies to our profession, indeed, some of us may be demented.
Haha.

Posts: 2267Favorite Brazilian netflix / movies
Favorite Brazilian Netflix / movies.
Nina deponca picks vis a vis, which is a Brazilian series about sadistic prison life, kind of a Brazilian version of orange is the new black.
Just a FYI. Something you can do at home.
We've discussed the subject of Brazilian movies, eg, tropa de elite, cidade de deus (discussed even in Bubba Boy's Guide, circa 2012 last update).
This is a subject worth updating as when you have the pernoites / diarias, the girls will pick the films if you are smart, between your 15 orgasms in 2.5 days, and thus relax and stay longer, and vibe better.
For music, as always, Felipe ret, and start radio on Google Play or spotify is recommended. Somehow spotify allows you to use your cell phone as a controller for your account synced to the smart TV even without the chromecast.
For the tech geniuses out there.

My eulogy.
When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains.
And the women come out to cut up what remains.
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains.
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier.
So-oldier of the Queen!
Put that on my tombstone.
PM Michaelsamuel for my lawyer's contact info, he would play the role of the corporal from the two deaths of quincas water-bray.
However, my plan is to die at the age of 126, surrounded by 835 concubines, and 9383 children, clones, grand children, in a 25 story condo in barra the Tijuca, with my friends from the congregation here in barra.
Shabbat shalom.

Posts: 2267I put my money, documents, and laptops, spare cell phones and memory in the safe, ideally.
But I always have some of it lying around, and the maid has a key card. I start banging the maid, and a line is crossed, so it doesn't make sense. But I get the vibe that she kind of likes me like a youngish clint eastwood in eiger sanction training for a last hit after being recruited out of retirement by jemima brown in one of the great action flicks ever.

I am not a expert but unless there's a recall or impeachment or similar action he's the man.
The replacement of the minister of defense and the 3 service chiefs does not look very good, though.

70% of Brazilians in slums can't buy food. Government cash payouts ended in January.
Chaos is coming.
