Unfortunately, seems that not by choice, the Brazilian citizens will be the participating in this gigantic petri dish or clincal trials of a different way of dealing with covid 19 at a mass scale as compared to the majority of the world.

If this were high stakes poker, Balso has been all in since day one. Who knows what's up. He and generals might be nut cases, or some how weasel their way past this because of a lucky hand. Eventually Brasil will be one of the first to get clinical trial vaccines since the problem for testing the vaccines now is the decline of cases in most countries so it is difficult to know if the vaccine actually works.

HCQ does not work and is no longer recommended for anyway anywhere but Brasil. WHO should step in.

No one knows why Remdesivir is not being used instead which gives slight patient improvements. Manufactures are donating it but not to Brazil.

Sweden has 3540 cases /1 million population and 418 deaths /1 million population. Denmark, Finland and Norway with similar health care system, nursing homes, demography etc. , but different approach to the Covid-19 have 1592 cases /1 million population and 66 deaths /1 million population.

The Swedish economy is equally hit as it's neighbouring countries, but when Europe is opening up it's citizens are not welcome to some countries because the pandemic situation is still one of the worst in the world. At the same time the number of deaths per day in the other three countries is close to zero (0-5). It's not a coincidence, but I totally agree with your last sentence and hope that we can travel back ASAP.

Not true. Sweden is doing much better than Finland and Norway when in it comes to the economy.

The way I would state it is like this. Leadership matters. And when you have poor and / or ineffective leadership (United States and Brazil as examples), then you're going to be worse off and more adversely impacted by a crisis like a pandemic.

At least vaccine manufactures will look to Brasil for clinical trials of their vaccines to see if it works because it is so widespread there.

I have heard estimates that the true level of infection ranges anywhere from 12% to 15% higher. Who knows? What we know for sure is that people are dying!

Allow me to add a little more dumb to your question. I was in Sao Paulo at that same time last year and it was freezing. So an outdoor swimming pool will do you no good. And you will be lucky if it is sunny.

Sao Paulo weather is a little like Sub Tropical South Florida with a reversal of seasons although Sao Paulo never gets as hot and never gets as cold as say Miami. The coldest months in SP are June, July and August. If my summer travel plans to Thailand fall thru, I was thinking of going to Sao Paulo in late October / November provided Brazil opens up. The temp range in November is a low of 65f to a high of 80f. Not as warm as I like it, but warm enough. But you are right. In my preliminary research, I was surprised to see the number of quality SP hotels with in-door pools.

My dumb ass question concerns what SP Hotels are Guest Friendly? I have searched the internet and strangely can't find the answer. Is it all, some, or a few?

Maybe there is an exception but as far as I know, in SP, they all are.
