When I did mine umpteen years ago, I just went to the post office in Copacabana with my passport and filled out the paper. If you had an address in Brazil the card would be sent to that address. If you did not, then a letter with the number on it would be sent to your home.

For those who want to get their own CPF, the process is more or less as follows;.

    1. I made an appointment with the Brazilian consulate in my home town (due to Covid, it's appointment only).

    2. Filled out the form at http://www.receita.fazenda.gov.br/Ap...ro/fcpfIng.asp and after sending it, I made a printout of the form. This may be done earliest 15 days before you present your documents at the consulate.

    3. I Went to the consulate with my passport and the printed form. The guy at the consulate was really nice and helpful.

    4. The consulate's site didn't say anything about birth certificate, which shows my mothers name and any bill with my address on it.

    5. I left the consulate, got my birth certificate in English and sent it to the man, with my latest phone bill, by email.

    6. Ten days days later I got a copy of my CPF card by email.

It didn't cost anything and I wasn't asked why I want one. Like Mr. Zelensky says, you don't need it, but it makes life easier in Brazil.

    55 children! That's not a family, that's an army.

And yes, Brazilian women are ridiculously jealous, insanely even, and that totally includes hookers. The irony is kind of lost on them, LOL.

    Brazil Specialist

Any remember that disgusting excuse for a human being, Brazil Specialist, who used to rent a room out in his apartment and record his tenant's activities?

    http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/...tal-Apartments

Some of the posts lately sound a lot like him.

Do be advised he was and maybe still is (if they haven't gotten to him already) on both the polices' and druglords' radar.

I scanned the posts: but have a question

I looked and looked, but here goes. What is the real world cost for a 40 year old no pre-existing conditions health insurance in Rio as opposed to SUS? Any price / age ranges data would be great, it is hard to imagine it could even close to the fucked up USA predatory system. Finally, I may get down to RIO next week, looks like via Panama is the fastest and I've found COPA to be a pretty good airline. I look forward to an Alcatraz like escape from USA sex prison and catch up with many of the esteemed folks here from some clothing free cultural exchanges with the local girls.

Works for me! It's great way to learn more Portuguese.

I often download the Portuguese subtitles of movies, to get a better understanding of Brazilian Porto phases, idioms and colloquialisms. I get entertained and learn at the same time.

Can you imagine the Matsunaga grandparents explaining things to their young granddaughter?

"We have some good news and bad news about your family we need to share with you honey."

    "Okay".

"The bad news is your mom is not gone. She is in prison. She once was a hooker. She murdered your father and chopped him up into pieces."

"Whaaaat? {Tears} So what can be the good news? {More Tears}".

"We sold the family business for a billion dollars a few years back. "

    "Cool. "

Yes is open from 6 in the morning to 6 pm. There are people running, biking and skating everywhere. I just did not see anyone in the basketball courts and football field, perhaps it was there too early. Use of mask in the park is mandatory and security reinforces this practice to whoever does not use one.

Yes, they do. I don't remember the exact limits, what I do remember is it varies widely from bank to bank. All I remember it's not much, but Bradescu is still your best bet, I think. The limits Lalabo mentions seem about right to me.

I also remember going from one Bradesco to another and it would sometimes let me withdraw more, even if the previous ATM didn't.
