Lencois Maranhenses is a bona fide wonder of the world and I highly recommend visiting it for everyone. The problem is that the rain patterns are unpredictable every year. While the lagoons usually get filled mid-summer, guest houses get filled much earlier so you need to do the booking well ahead. Mid-August is normally safe, though.

The travel infrastructure around Lencois is still very underdeveloped, but that's a great thing. Enjoying the park without the crowds is priceless. You can only enter with a Jeep tour, but the tours were extremely cheap in 2019.

There are three points of entry from what I remember, but I strongly recommend staying at Santo Amaro. It's the village right next to the park, about 10 minute ride.

Getting there from Sao Luiz is a hassle -- 4+ hours by 4 x4, but it's totally worth it. PM if you want the contact of a tour guide who does the tours there if he's still in business, of course.

After reading all the positive posts on the ISG, I wanted to check by myself about mongering in Brazil.

4 days in SP and 4 days in Rio is not much but enough to have a glimpse.

The daytime action is not great as lets say in Medellin.

The prives are cheap but are exhausting to find.

I went to 4 x4 in Rio and liked it; Same as HKG in Tijuana, but less expensive.

Downside is the distance to US and mediocre daytime action.

Conclusion; will I return? Probably not unless I have something else to do there. I'd rather go to Peru instead that have cheap "chongos".

Unfortunately, the glimpse is all you've got. I'd told you 4 days was not enough for Rio, especially for the first visit.

The daytime action in Rio is fantastic if you're willing to walk the walk. I don't get it why you couldn't find Rio prives; there are dozens of reviews with addresses here and hundreds on Gparena. If prives are not to your liking, there are termas, incalls and outcalls too -- all available in daytime.

4 x4 is 1000 times better than HK in Tijuana. Seriously, it's an affront to Brazil punters to even try to compare that thieving, hardcore, tip-extracting joint with 4 x4 -- the temple of hard-work hooking, LOL.

Lima (as much as I loved the food there) is vastly inferior to Rio in almost all regards, but if you enjoy a Trocadero scene, then yes, Rio doesn't have a brothel of that scale. Then again, walking between multiple prives in Centro buildings is not totally unlike strolling through Trocadero in a search of a proverbial gem.

Arrived at 1 am, 50 R to enter and a very good band was playing. The place is quite small with a pole in the middle and seating around the edges. Very smokey inside.

It was pretty packed with about 15-20 girls. They are not aggressive here from my observation but per usual a nice variety of flavors. It seems like more of a locals place because every girl I talked to got scooped by her regular, which is understandable. I did notice 2 transformers so other reports I've read here seem to be spot on.

As a first time visit to Barra, it was enjoyable so will definitely return since its a quick ride from Leblon.

Dude, you know your way about Colombia and Tijuana but not Brazil. You speak Spanish but not Portuguese. Unless you have someone to show you around of course you're going to like your familiar stomping grounds better than somewhere where you only spend only 4 days. Come on now.

Just returned from Brazil. I speak ok Porto and on my trip was surprised to discover that upon hearing me speak many Brazilians, including girls tried to switch to Spanish apparently mistaking me for the Spanish speaker.

People are fucking crazy. If I am somewhere and start speaking to someone in one of the other languages I speak, they don't even listen, but instead reply I don't speak English. I guess they take one look at me and figure he is American, there is no remote way he could be speaking to me in my language. I say does it sound like I am speaking English?

Villa mimosa is OK but not as good as I expected and only at night.

The upside of Brazil is diversity; you find all types of women.

Downside is the distance to US and mediocre daytime action. They also will establish a visa requirement for Americans starting October.

Conclusion; will I return? Probably not unless I have something else to do there. I'd rather go to Peru instead that have cheap "chongos".

Hi all, I am visiting SP from the USA. First time ISG, but frequent on USASG. I do not speak Porto, but am fluent in Spanish. I don't expect to understand much Porto, but am hoping the Spanish can at least give me a sense of language.

Spending just under a week in SP. I've tried to do my research on this board and have read the past 10 pages. I think the user I quote below has me on a good lead. Can anyone confirm these two locations? Will I be okay as a non-Porto speaker? I was planning on getting a hotel nearby, is that a good decision in that neighborhood, or should I get somewhere in Pinheiros and Uber?

As much as I want to do Scandallo, I'm more inclined for the cost-efficient option, as I'll be coming from a long week in Sao Luiz / Lencois Maranhenses so would like to save cash where I can. From my understanding (and please correct me if I'm wrong, this is just based off my research on this forum), I can expect to spend about $50 BRL on a room, and then however much a girl will charge.

Any help, direction, or even confirmation of information, would be appreciated.

I mean my Spanish is ok but my Portuguese is much better but just based on this you should be able to communicate in Brazil.

Be aware though that it's mostly one way relationship between Spanish and Portuguese speakers. Portuguese is hard on unaccustomed ear. I sometimes refer to it as a 'lazy language'. Brazilians would be able to understand your Spanish much more than you their Portuguese.

If you can make a move overseas and it won't have an impact on your income then you should do it! 5-6 k USD a month is going to be quite comfortable in a lot of places, especially at your age. You are a young man, now is the time to head out and see what he world has to offer you!

Only suggestion I would make would be to consider either Thailand or Philippines before Brazil, unless time zones are a key consideration. Your money will go a little further in these places, English is more widely spoken, they are safer and they have larger expat communities and digital nomad communities too. Think of both these countries as starter mode. After that, then I would give Latin America a try. There is also a bit more flexibility with things like visas, and Asia offers a bit more travel wise too. You are never more than 4-5 hours away from most major Asian cities, and they are all amazingly different.

Also don't discount regular women when you live in any of these countries either. Mongering makes sense when you have a short amount of time on the ground, or you are a bit older and don't have time for the bullshit when it comes to chasing younger women..

Very good point. My only issue with Asia is a couple things. For starters, Asian women aren't really my type physically to be honest. I just prefer Latinas a lot more. I do agree that Thailand or Philippines would be a lot better for me to visit first since they are a lot safer than Latin America and they speak English. My other issue is how far / long the plane rides are. From US to Asia it seems the flights are over 20 hours long. I've never been on a flight that long before and sounds quite exhausting to be on a plane for that duration. If Asia was a lot closer by and the women were my type then I would love to go more. I still do plan on visiting Thailand or Asia in general but I don't think it will be as much as Latin America due to those reasons.

Hi VloneCarti, with US $3000 a month you can live as mid-high class depending of the country. In Brazil no doubds mid class. In Argentina, Peru and Colombia you'd be in in the upper class with all that each society can offer you. Brasil, Argentina and Colombia have gorgeous women to date and f*k. Peru and Chile have gorgeous women but they have hundreds of guys waiting for them.

Argies are crazy girls! (the most psiconalized society in the south America), I've worked with tens of models from Argentina and Brazil (you can view my reports and I can show you our sites with productions). Meanwhile brazilians midclass and lower tend to be more family girls. You can ask the ISGers how many times they have been offered marriage after 1 month dating.

Got it thanks! To be honest, I only know very little Spanish and that's from the 2 years I took it in high school. I plan on learning Spanish again December of this year then will spend the next 2 years learning Spanish and once I'm fluent in it will then travel overseas. So right now I'm pretty much just stacking my money up as much as possible so that in 2 years I will have more than enough to go overseas.

Chile and Peru were not great destinations for the sport, and as you mention, venezuelans are flooding the streets of Lima mostly.

Although both countries are nice in their own way, I'm less impressed with Peruvian and Chilean women. Perhaps that's why the gorgeous ones receive so much attention.

By the way, many times I found that a hot girl in Chile or Peru was actually a Venezolana.
