Beaten to the punch. I was just about to report on the story myself.

Yet more innocent Rio residents dying at the heavy-handed tactics of the police, as they kill with impunity.

Public Defender's Office reports at least 20; report witnessed seven people being carried away on sheets or towels in the community.

The Military Police and the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro confirmed at least 18 dead in an operation carried out in Complexo do Alemo, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, this Thursday (21). The action lasted about 12 hours with intense shootings, ending around 17:00.

Election year and politics involving women

    Hi Gentlemen,

Just to mention this year is elections for president and congress men in Brasil. The favorite to win is leftist PT (Partido dos Trabalhadores) com Lula heading.

Feminist groups and LGTBQI++++ are not so strong in Brasil but working 24/7. At the moment, they are not as strong as in Argentina, where even Bikini Contests are forbidden. Beautiful promotional models at events are almost history, now they must wear very conservative uniforms. There will be tax reforms in Brasil and they may have strong impact on local economy. Good or bad? I don't now, 2022 world is very different from the 2010.2010 the exchange rate was crazy high are $1.8 = 1 USD.

Also, during the PT in government from 2002 to 2018, the party and wild sex did not stop. I know from very close friends, that many PT politicians closed their deals in night clubs. Yes, wild sex to close big deals with government and private companies.

If the right party with Bolsonaro wins, with very little chances being July 2022, the party will go on.

But keep an eye on feminists, they are getting super strong in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. And paving their way to Brasil. In Spain, leftists want to declare prostitution illegal activity.

Together attached a picture of Lula with feminist leaders.

Thanks for the good information on exchange rates and money policies.

We've all noticed the late volatility of the exchange rate. I believe it got as low as 4.65 just a few short months ago. Let's hope the trend continues with the BRL losing ground against the usd. Giving us tourists More money to pump (with every pelvic thrust) into the local economy is a good thing!

    Rio Trip, First Timer impressions

    Hi guys,

So I arrived in Rio few days ago.

Its my first time here. I'm from Germany, Little bit Spanish knowledge, but no Porto. So let me tell some first impressions:

The first 2 days I just did the typical sightseeing (Sugar Loaf, Christo de Redeemer, Fort Copacabana. Etc.

I had my apartment at Copacabana booked via Booking com, large 1 bed room for low price, what I think is so, because of low season (9 days per day 20 $).

Tuesday I checked the typical spots, which have been here spoken, often: Mabs, Kalabria, Dolce Vita.

Started at 10:00 pm At at Mabs. With the passage of time more and more girls showed around, about 5 girls from beginning till 7 girls when I left.

Checked kalbria around at midnight, about 6-7 Girls there.

And looked at Dolce Vita at 0:30 ,which was already well visited with some foreign guys and plenty 10 girls. T.

There I had a eye on a slim tall dark skinned chick, named Ravena, agreed for 2 hours, 1000 Reais, and we left at 2 am.

It was good session, no time pressure, she was kind, enjoyed the time, too.

Wednesday wanted have termas day, Started with centarus at 7 pm.

Entry 140 Reais, About 7 girls when I entered and maybe 10 when I left at 9:30 pm.

Some girls was little bit to aggressive for my taste. Some looked not much interested.

Did not find a chick for my taste, so headed to next ome: Solarium at 10 pm.

Entry 120 Reais when you pay cash, 150 Reais which card.

Prices 40 minutes: 340 for girl + 150 for the room.

Prices 1 hour: 480 for girl +150 for the room.

They are opening very early at 2 pm And bar closing already about 0:30, this was the time what I was told.

Latest to pick up girl and a hour at room. I had here a nice 1 hour session with Candy, tall slim girl with cute beauty face, good service.

On Thursday I tried social media out (Tinder, Seeking, Travefriend.)

No chance at Tinder, but the others if you have a premium membership often helps me to meet girls at my destinations when I travel.

At seeking I met a young fresh 22 year old girl at 7 pm, named Jennifer, little bit shy, new to business, wanted 600 are for 2-3 hours.

So we had some food at Bicus and continued with Champagner with no time presure, relaxed atmosphere at my apartment.

Overall the information with termas and the spots (Mabs, Dolce Vita, Kalabria) at Copacabana here helped me a lot, and I had a good start here.

Now, as weekend starting, I will try out some clubs at Centro or Lapa, Zone morth.

Mosaico was recommended here many times. Just struggling to find more information on internet.

I guess its on are. Hilário Ribeiro, 243, next to Villa Mimosa.

So I guess I will start the evening at some bars at Lapa, then head to VM and later Mosaico after 0 pm.

Maybe you have some better advice for Friday, Saturday clubs scene.

Will let you guys know, how my impressions have been.

I have never paid gringo prices for my tickets with GOL and I'm registered with my passport number. Flights to Navegantes are always more expensive than most destinations with the same distance. Few months ago I paid 96 euros for my GOL Max return ticket to Belo Horizonte. I paid less than hundred euros to Curitiba in November, also GOL Max, which is more expensive than light or plus.

Side note: I have used Google flights to book buy tickets from SP to Rio and as long as you buy 3-4 weeks in advance, the price is really cheap. (Around 100 bucks). If you get off the plane in SP, walk upstairs and try to buy the next plane headed to Rio, it can cost you between 4-500 dollars.
This is what I meant, purchase local incountry Brazilian ticket office if you don't have CPF. Not at a USA ticket office.
