1) Can anyone recommend a gym in the Copacabana area that I can pay per session or join for a few weeks?

If you have wide shoulders, be sure to try it on. Most Brazilians are not as broad-shouldered as North Americans or Europeans. It can make shopping for clothing items in Brazil tricky for some of us.

Just to Pre warn you, mask wearing seems mandatory in the gyms, every gym I see they are wearing masks on the equipment. Crazy times.

Were the phones values at over 500 dollars? I think 500 bucks is the limit you can bring in as a gift. How much was the fine / tax?

They have now raised the limit to 1000 dollars. https://www.gov.br/receitafederal/pt...-and-duty-free. The currency limit is still BRL10,000, without declaring it.

I will be going to Brazil in a few weeks. I don't want to carry cash and I don't want to use my usual cards either. I am thinking of getting a pre-paid card from wise.com. Has anyone used that card in the past and is it recommended?

Never used them, but prepaid cards are tricky. Many won't work at ATMs, others won't work outside of the USA Or your home country. If it does work, I can only imagine what it would charge for cash withdrawals. Call them and ask, don't leave anything to chance. And make sure to have back up no matter what they tell you.

Antigen test IS fine. Ask the hotel most hotels have a lab to hook you up with. In rio in September came right to the room. I been to Brazil 3 times during Covid season no problem getting results quick and sent to you via email or WhatsApp. Cash is king bro don't be afraid to walk around with money. You won't want to be looking for ATM every time you want to see a girl just my opinion. Put it in a safe. I take cash everywhere less hassle. Sure something could happen but how could a robber pick you randomly and hit the jackpot?

CDC clearly states the anti-gen is not accepted. By my hotel in SP just told me that there is a lab across the street that does PCR test and generate results in two hours.

Hi,

Need help here. According to CDC, I need a negative Covid test 1 day before my flight back. Labs in US are taking up to three days for test results. Can I get the the results the same day in SP?

I am coming to SP in few days. And I ordered AA approved antigen tests form USA https://www.aa.com/covid19testing - it is much more convenient IMHO.

For this antigen does it have to be within last 24 hours or 1 calendar day prior to departure is sufficient?
