I started watching this show after a couple of guys on the site mentioned it. I'm enjoying it a lot since it's set in Rio. It's always interesting to watch a story being told in a setting that you know something about. Often what you will find is that the filmmaker will take some liberties with the facts, like in this show when you see the outside of Help, but then little of nothing else that they depict is like what Help once was. Be that as it may (screwing with the facts), I'm already hooked, and plan to keep watching. Check it out!

Yes, Lapa is where you want to start. There are a lot dance bars that spill into a street party Fridays and Saturdays. COVID might alter the scene somewhat.

Last year, there was a Congonhas noise discussion in the Sao Paulo section. Various members discussed the quietness of various hotels just northwest of Congonhas airport. It starts with Sao Paulo post #11093 and the discussion runs for a few days.

I have never stayed in that exact area. It seems flights stop running around 11 pm and resume around 6 am. The morning rush of flights is more intense. If you plan on working from the hotel or sleeping in, it sounds like choosing your hotel wisely is important.

I saw someone here draw a map showing a runway path veering over the Indianapolis / Moema area. I could not locate it. If you are out walking, there will be planes flying over.

Looked at google earth too, seems a lot of people live there and its the nice area of SP so it can't be too bad. I grew up in the deep south where people can't get enough of chainsaws, leafblowers, and lawnmowers, HELLA fkng annoying back when I worked night-shift and needed to sleep-in. Really just wanted to know if its going to be like that 24/7 or what.

Where I stayed never heard anything. And I would've noticed if it was an issue.
