While we're all waiting for this to pass I've been checking future flights and hotels. The best value I've seen was using miles on American Airlines. I started weeks ago checking fares and I got a fair rate using miles, it has even gone lower since I booked to levels I've never seen before. Same for hotels, rates I have never seen before, I also booked a great rate for a future trip. All bookings are flexible so am able to cancel just in case.

And also looking at the contract, I was reminded of something I learned years before in Salvador. Here, you have to return a car clean. If not, then you are charged a cleaning fee. So on the 23rd before I turn this machine in, I have to find a car wash or have an additional charge of 85-150 reais in addition to the 500 I am already getting fucked for..

Is it true in Goiania the ratio from male to female is hugely more females? I've met 3 girls from there in SP that said its like 10:1?

I have a CPF which you can apply for at any Brazilian consulate. It makes life so much easier if you frequent Brazil.

You should not have a problem unless something loss in translation or misunderstanding between you and customer service rep. All you need is your Passport if your a tourist (Brazilian ID or CPF card not necessary) to get a sim card. Go to Rio Sul mall (https://www.riosul.com.br/) walkable right outside the Tunnel (Tunel do Leme Galeria Coelho Cintra) via Av. Princesa Isabel. Never had a problem getting Sim from either Claro or TIM in mall, they deal with tourist everyday. Claro and Tim each have two stores on different floors. It did happen where I for example went to TIM on 3rd floor and they sent me to the store on the 1st floor. Either way never refused a SIM purchase and related service (top-off minutes / data / etc).

I got mine from Claro store at Botafogo Praia Shopping.

You don't need a CPF to use a brazilian SIM card. It might be easier to activate it using a CPF, but as said it's not necessary. Btw, You can get a CPF as a tourist, it can be useful if you stay in Rio longer periods. You can get client cards at Zona Sul, Pao de Acucar etc and get good discounts.

On the first floor the gift shop use to sell sim also. I find it strange unlike other international airports there are many SIM card vending machines or mobile company selling SIM cards.
