I already have a Canon 5 mp so I guess I don't need a new one. I guess I knew it is the photographer and not the camera that makes good pictures. I just need to practice, practice, practice.

Also, I have been somewhat shy in requesting photos and my few requests have been declined so I stopped asking. Because I was inspired by your photos, I intended to start asking again on my next trip and now I will definitely do so.

Don't be shy to ask to take photos. Most of these women enjoy posing when you ask nicely especially latinas. BTW, Canon makes good digital cameras. All my uploaded shots on this website were taken with a Canon. Remember also to snap the shutter gently (without movement) for sharp photos.

I use a pretty basic Cannon 5MP camera for travel. Its six years old and pretty banged up.
So unlike someone else's excuse about the MP and resizing as the reason for bad pics is incorrect.
You just have to know your camera.

The most important bit of a camera is the guy standing behind it! Don’t worry about the type of camera. Buying a more expensive camera will not make you a better photographer.
Just Practice, practice, practice.

It's the person behind the viewfinder, not the camera. Just remember take your time framing the picture and be self critical. Delete those shots out of focus etc. Search my uploaded pictures on various threads here and you'll see what I mean or take notice you others who upload well exposed, composed photos.

I can't understand why anybody has a right to complain about anyones photos. Encouragement = more photos. Negative talk = less photos.

In future if someone has something negative to say about anyones photos, it would be best to keep it to oneself.

In my book, any photo should be welcomed and applauded!
