With all due respect to the Colombians, trying to decide whether to go with Colombia or to the thriving city of Sao Paulo is like trying to decide between a taco shop and a full course meal at an upscale churrascaria. It's a no brainer. Giving you an idea of what kind of girls there are in Sao Paulo by a couple of photos would be like trying to send you photos that would cover the overwhelming diversity of fish prevalent in the Atlantic ocean. It's impossible. Sao Paulo is the big melting pot of Brazil, and you can find anything from black mulatas to blondes who have Asian mix blood. They got everything. Compared to Rio, there are a lot more European looking women in Sao Paulo.

The big problem will be the language. I'd say most if not all garotas (except for a handful) will not speak English. I highly doubt Colombia will be much better. Rio on the other hand will probably be the most "English friendly" due to so many gringo tourists.

Trust me on this one, hands down you won't find better than Sao Paulo when it comes to mongering.

What percentage of the loclas in SP (pros and non pros) would you say speak some English?

Would you know a web site with a good sample of the kind of girls that are typically available in SP.

I assume you have been to Columbia?
It seems there that the quality varies a lot between cities also.

It just seems there a bit too skinny/asai types for my taste?

Hi Travelman,
Sao Paulo & Buenos Aires are definitely the best places in South America for women! English is a general problem in South America. To chose between Sao Paulo & Colombia, I would 100% go for Sao Paulo, a lot more choices on the menu, and the quality of the menu is also better!

My world was changed forever last April on my first trip to Rio.

I speak pretty fluent Spanish, and was able to "hold court" in the lounge areas of the Termas, with a bunch of gals at the same time. Laughing hilariously.

I vowed to learn "conversive" Portugese before returning this Sept.

I enrolled in Berlitz here in San Francisco. This is a great method. The teachers will only speak Portugese, and my class of 3 went out a few times.

At he same time, I got Rosetta Stone. (www.rosettastone.com). This CD-ROM program is AWESOME! You get to do repitition like you can't at Berlitz. There is a voice analyzer that compares the native speaker and you. You can repeat and repeat until you get it right.

I believe Rosetta Stone has brilliantly figured out the science of learing a language. I start some lessons doubting I will remember most of it. Then I find myself coming up with phrases out of the blue all during the day.

I am returning in a month. One stop is in Sao Paulo for a medical conference, and there will be no translation service. THAT will be the trial under fire.

But I'm sure I've got enough to completely freak out the Garotas in Rio and Recife.

The problem is that when I go to Buenos Aires for the last week of the trip, I'll have to "re-boot" my mind, as it can be a bit confusing between the two.

Answering the question about www.platinnum.com.br:

The place is in Goiania Brasil, about 1 hr and 40 minutes fly from Sao Paulo. It is along the highway which runs from Brasilia (the capital) to Goainia. I have not been to this place, but to one a few miles further south the highway, it is called Cassanovas
Basicly, these places are strip shows, where you can also select a girl to take to a motel. Prices to take the girl are R$ 250 (R$ 150 for the girls, R$ 100 for the house). Also, you pay about R$ 70 to enter.

I picked up a very nice young gal from Bomboa and took her back to my hotel (R$400). It was about 2:00 a.m. We had two sessions - routine and anal prior to falling into sound sleep. With a few hours of sleep, we had two more rounds until 11:00 a.m. And, I asked her to leave as my next date (girfriend) would be due for lunch in about one hour. She wanted to do one more time before she parted. I kicked her out - no time and no power.

However, what might also be worth knowing, is that Brasil has the best sex scene in the world. And, while I agree that the B.A. chicks aren't stuck up, they're not super-freaks like the Brasilian girls are. Nothing compares.

1. BA girls are beautiful and not stuck up.

2. Rio is the beach and relaxed atmosphere, Sao Paulo is the hustle bustle of 18,000,000+ people.

3. Personal opinion only, the girls of Sao Paulo beat the girls of Rio and BA in beauty and fun, but Rio and BA run a close second.

It all depends on what you want. If you want the beach, go to Rio. If you want a major city like NY, go to Sao Paulo. If you want a European city atmosphere, go to BA.

There are beautiful girls everywhere, none of whom are stuck up, as that depends on you and how you make them feel. Be open with them, make then laugh and have fun, treat them like a good friend, and they will rock your world.

Holy moses that's all the way out in Goiânia. You couldn't find me a model hot enough to fly all the way out there when you have all you want in SP. Rio is far enough for me, GO is another planet. Granted, GO has it's babes, but unless you want to spend all your time trying your luck with non-pro farm girls, I'd stay away.

Going to SP for the second time. This time is for strictly business..and some fun after hours ;-) ... If possible...

First time was a one-night stopover before a week in Rio. Just to check the city out.

A complete disaster...everybody trying to ripp off the gringoes ( we were 3): Parthenon Manhattan ( looks like it does not exist anymore) charged 35% more than agreed rate; their front desk taxi driver was not able to find a decent place ( terma, boite, strip joint, whatever!!!!) open on a Thursday night ( we paid him top money for driving us around for 3 hours at SP night). This same driver stole my camera ( which I forgot in the back seat). Next day he said he didn't see it. Finally, a lousy dinner ( with lousy/ rude waiter) at (supposedly) high-end italian restaurant in ront of the hotel for which I paid top $$$.

Problem was I did not discover this forum until after that trip...Pretty bad. I used the info at the world sex guide which was minimal and not up-to-date.

Now, armed with the new enlightened knowledge from this forum
I intend to make-up for my lame first visit.

Does any one know of a better way to learn Brazilian Portuguese than the Pimsler CDs? I have 4 months before I go back and want to speak at least on an intermediate level.
