Yesterday (Monday) - decided to try some clinicas that are off the usual Gringo trail. By looking at Gpguia, I saw that there are three that cluster close together in Tatuape close to the Carrao metro station (Line 3, Linha Vermelha) in the east of the city.

From what I could determine, the prices are around 150/160 reais per hour.

I took the metro to Carrao and then took the exit for Rua Melo Freire. This will involve taking a bridge walk over the main road and then down a ramp into a bus station on the side of are. Melo Freire. At the bottom of the ramp, keep walking straight ahead through the bus station (there are lots of kiosks here selling cheap food and drink if interested) and then along Rua Melo Freire (you go past a gas station) and then take the first right into Rua Professora Sebastiana the Silva Minhoto. Open the metal gate, go in and ring the bell. There was the sound of music and the smell of a barbecue in progress. I followed 2 other guys in but inside the house they weren't in the lounge. So was it worth going all the way over to Tatuape?

Yes and No. Quality of girls is not as high as in Brooklin / Enjoy / Mirunas, as you would expect but most of the girls were friendly and if you ranked the girls in the top tier clinicas as 9's or 10's for looks, then these would be 7's or 8's. Cost is 40 to 70 reais cheaper per hour if cost is an issue. Neighborhood seemed ok to walk around. Streets were clean and quiet. Everything was within 10 minutes walk of Rua Melo Freire. I probably chose the wrong time to go as I was there at lunch time and so a lot of girls were either occupied or hadn't arrived yet.

I've not been to the Churrascaria but the bakery does good food.
