I will be staying for a week in the Vila Mariana bairro of Sao Paulo, quite close to Parque de Ibirapuera. Any one have some recommendations for lanchonete, reataurants, and small bookstore, coffee shops? Quiet bar, with no or low volume music would also be nice. Of course, I can consult with the hotel staff, but I don't have a girlfriend there, so probably stay sozinho.

I'm event producer and before pandemics frequent traveler to Brasil, not only Rio and Sao Paulo, but many cities of the interior since 2002, the year Lula won the election. My last trip was 2019, before pandemics. The interior has a lot of stories to tell.

One experience I can share with you. Be patient in hotel lobbys during early hours. Once I took a lovely brunette from Caf Photo from Av. Juscelino Kubitschek to a hotel very close. It was a great experience, but the important part of this report happened right after.

The girl I picked was heading back to Caf, but a local talked to her in the hotel lobby and took her to a room. Right in the moment in front of me. Visited casarao Saturday night. Lineup was weaker then Wednesday & Thursday. Looks like the lineup quality varies considerably day to day. That may not be a bad thing because of cheap entry (R50) you can go to some boete.

Yesterday I was in a room with a stripper pole which was bit bigger than others I have been in. I didn't like the quality of towels provided, they were quite worm. I wouldn't go there with too much expectations.

I was supposed to arrive in SP last Saturday but ended arriving Tuesday because of flight cancellations. I am glad Brazil has removed COVID testing requirements at least for vaccinated. As usual, breeze through immigration and customs at GRU. Immigration did check proof of vaccination.

Casarao:

I had bad experiences during my first (pre-pandemic); as a result I have decided to not visit the club again. XXL wanted to check out the club so have decided to visit again to see if it is any better. I second XXL's assessment of the lineup. There were way more pretty girls compared to my first visit. Many good looking girls looked normal with little makeup and weren't dolled up with quarter inch thick makeup like lots of girls at Scandallo.

The club started slow but was packed by midnight. I picked a pretty girl named Laura and had a good time. She did everything that was agreed upon.
