So we have recently had two reviews complaining and suggesting guys avoid Moema Prime and enjoy. All I can say is, its a shame the guys who visited had bad experiences, but as someone who knows these places well, there is absolutely no reason for readers of this forum to "avoid" those places. Misunderstandings can happen anywhere in Brazil if you are not fluent in Portuguese. The women who work in the places are human, some are better than others, some are tired at the end of the day. One guy's negative experience should not be taken as the definitive reason for others to avoid a place. If there is a consensus of bad reports, then sure, that will be something to pay attention to.

I also meant to point out that the prices in the clinicas are subject to change over time. Prices reported on this forum are often out of date. Some places lower their prices for a season, then raise them the next season, which may contribute to visitors expecting the price they read about in a report that is now out of date. The best strategy is to ask up front about the price, make it clear how much time you want to stay in the room - 1/2 hour or 1 hour. Write down the question on a piece of paper if necessary to present to the reception. If you are not quoted the price you want or expect, then leave before going to the room. Quite simple really.

The price at Tangara was 150/ hour and at Enjoy it was 200/ hour (for posters on gp-guia.net or forumcutuca.com it was 180/ HR) when I was there in November. Per forumcutuca.com, those were still the prices as of mid-January (with some posters there reporting paying 160/ HR at Enjoy Spa). Why did you pay more, especially since you were there with ABG, who should know the prices?

Price of Tangara is 150 reais cash.

If rates really went up, then how much is 1/2 hour?

Tangara has been 100/150 for as long as I remember. Of course I'm not counting extra to the girls for extra services.

However, even if ScoobieDiver was a gringo who didn't speak Portuguese and was not a member of those forums, he was with ABG, a known local, who should have gotten him the non-gringo price.

Do Does anybody know the names of the girl and the guy who mistreated you? Although management has changed there Scooby Diver and I were well treated at Enjoy.

Enjoy and most of the clinicas have a discount if you report your experience in the GP GUIA forum, as is the case of Jimmy Boy. There is no such thing as a gringo price. If you became a member of the GP GUIA and have posted you will be entitled to the discount too. But tell the receptionist that you are a GP GUIA member, she will check your post before you go up with a girl. Then you have the discount. If you are a member check on the GP GUIA the discounts each house grants. Some houses will accept Forum Cutuca reports also.

I find this whole "gringo price" stuff to be ridiculous. The prices are usually posted on a placard in full view or on a card that reception will show if asked. I know in Brooklin for example they are on a placard right on the wall by the reception. The posted prices are usually the "non-forista" price. There is no gringo price. There is just a "regular" price and a "forista" price (Tangara excepted, to be explained). Forista (as in 'those who post TDs in the gp-guia forum) is the discount price, which some here may mistakenly refer to as the "local" price. Calling it the "local" price is a misnomer. There are many locals who do not get the forista discount because they do not post on the forum. Likewise, most gringos, pay the 'regular" price because they too do not post on the forum. So there is regular and forista. That is it. There is no "gringo" price. There may be misunderstanding. I have read several reports over the years on this board where guys complain of being overcharged and "gringo'd" but in most cases that I have read, when one reads all the details there was a misunderstanding of the house rules, re entrances and consumption, or time limits etc.

The only place I ever heard of that had a legitimate rip off policy was a boate called Romanza which was notorious for silently padding the bill and overcharging drunk customers. And they paid taxi drivers to bring them tourists. They were a true clip joint. But the clinicas? Not in my experience. Just regular price and forista price. That is all you need to know to ask about. Vani's places like Tangara and Espaco Vergeiro and Redway do not offer a forista price, they only offer a "regular" price. They compensate by having a fidelity program where you get a card punched for every visit and after so many visits you get 1/2 price or full price discount.

When I went to Enjoy Spa, I had an awful experience, quite unlike the other clinicas. The girl at Enjoy didn't really want to do anything at all. It was so bad I had to abandon the session, which I never do. At reception I explained politely what had happened: then a pimp-like character -- apparently the owner -- emerged and started insulting me wildly! I was absolutely gobsmacked. I go back a long way with Brazil and consider it a pretty gringo-friendly country but there is a seriously anti-gringo vibe at Enjoy Spa. The receptionist looked miserable, like this happens a lot and she wished she was working somewhere else. There were no other customers, so I guess the locals know well enough to AVOID Enjoy Spa.

I know this post will annoy some long-time posters on this thread but the truth needs to get out to newbies: there are about ten other clinicas within 1 km of Enjoy where you can get much better service, and all without paying a gringo price, or paying a local or guide for "protection". Just scroll through this thread to find them.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at Enjoy. I went there as a Sampa newbie and had quite a good experience as far as the clinicas go. I literally enjoyed Enjoy Spa! Seeing that I was mostly disappointed with the whole clinica experience, I want to speak up for one of the few establishments where I felt I personally had a decent experience. I suppose YMMV, but I had a good time and the staff and girls were pleasant enough to me. I would therefore recommend Enjoy Spa.

I agree on all counts. I only was In Campinas on business and got lucky with hits at both Moustache and Fazendinha, but I wouldn't drive there exclusively for that. I mean if you want a change of pace and some adventure sure its a nice city. But would not go for girls only. SP is plenty target rich.

And definitely learn some Portuguese. It's a lot of fun the girls are so impressed you bothered that it really breaks the ice. If u had either high school French or Spanish its not very hard.

Thank Steve and ABG. ABG I am not Senior yet. I wish I would have stayed another night in Sao Paola. We still might come a day earlier on departure. If so I will keep you posted.

If you want a better selection, get there earlier in the day, say around lunch time. If you get there after 3 pm, the selection is not as good and there's a lot of dudes hanging around for what seems like no reason at all. Enjoy Spa is a little fancier, with nicer rooms, nicer waiting area, and no dudes that seem to just hang around. I think the hourly rate was R250. I liked Tangara but personally, I like Enjoy's environment more, where the women were more dressed up and made up. Snip.

I just got back after a few days seeing the city with AltoBomGosta, and had a blast in Sao Paulo. I'll share my impressions of the city, the several places he took me to and why his guide services are so important. First, Sao Paulo is a busy city where the different places to go for fun are very spread out. There's no concentrated district like Soi Cowboy to speak of, so it's hard to know how to get to the different places you'd want to check out. Also, very few people speak any English at all, and this includes the women, restaurant workers, shopping centers, etc. So unless you know the language, you're going to have a very difficult time finding places and speaking with people about even basic things.

ABG took me to a few places, each with a different personality and pricing. Tangara is clearly his favorite. For me, the hourly pricing of R180 was a great deal. Lots of great selection. If you want a better selection, get there earlier in the day, say around lunch time. If you get there after 3 pm, the selection is not as good and there's a lot of dudes hanging around for what seems like no reason at all. Enjoy Spa is a little fancier, with nicer rooms, nicer waiting area, and no dudes that seem to just hang around. I think the hourly rate was R250. Here's the important tip: spend your money wisely by taking up ABG's guide services. This guy is fun to talk to and helps you learn about the country, but more importantly, he saves you time, money and provides great recommendations on who to choose (seriously, his recommendations turned out to be really fantastic with the service). He helps negotiate in Portugese, which is essential. He also drives you around to all the different places! And because they know him at the places, you end up getting better service than a one-time gringo visiting for few days only would. He doesn't rush you on anything as he simply enjoys the scene too. Basically, ABG has invested tons of his own time and money over many years to know the scene and the women. So being able to benefit from that is of tremendous practical value. Now if you have a car in town, speak the language and have three months in Sampa to try many different places and many different women, you might not need him. For everyone else, I believe you need him and will also have a way more enjoyable time with him. I will use him the next time I am there again. This is not me trying to advertise for him. I simply cannot imagine having anywhere near as good a time had I tried to learn without him. ABG. Thanks a lot, brother!

Any other website or social media sites I need to check out? I seen a Campinas board as well but not much info there. Any help is appreciated. TIA.

As you say Campinas board is dead. Had to do all the research myself. If you have a moderate budget (say US $200-300) you can have a great time at Fazendinha www.fazendinha.com. It's about a 30 minute ride from where you are. They have a shuttle that picks up in Campinas. They would probably come to you. Contact the owner on Whatsapp -- they are very good to work with.

Fazendinha is a large property (the name means little farm) that includes a Boate and onsite rooms. This is where I met the famous Thifany and also had a duo with her friend. Entry is R200 all consumable. Girls are generally R300-R500 and room is maybe R150.

Full disclosure I spent US$500 but I had a whale of a time over a 5 hour period.

There is a whole neighborhood of HO hoses called Jardim Itatinga, between Viracopos Airport and Campinas. Best way to know it is to have some Brazilian guide to drive you there (a friendly cab driver also may work OK). There must be more than a 100 casas, from all kinds of prices, there are also street walkers. But the majority are low profile Bordellos.

It has been more than 10 years that I haven't been there so I cannot recommend any particular casa. Although there is a police patrol always circulating, if you don't speak reasonable Portuguese you might get in trouble, news has been displayed showing

tourist being robbed there.

My advice is pick up a Cometa bus in Campinas to Sao Paulo They depart every 15 minutes, and go to a good clinic, at the moment Tangara has the best cast and English speaking receptionists.
