Lets just say that so far, I'm still looking forward to Rio at the end of this week.
Keep an open mind. There are many of us who prefer Rio, but drop in to SP for work and some leisure.

It seems to be very difficult to find a airbnb that allows guests. Does anyone have some recommendations that allow it?

I guess I personally don't go for the "hot model" type with all the surgery and tattoos. Nothing wrong with that as I do like it occasionally but I do like the natural girl next door look and usually those girls charge or don't negotiate that high since they know most guys go for the model girls and so they go for the 500 since they are also at a disadvantage because a guy can just look around and get any other 50+ girls in the club.

    .
This is also my type. I don't go for "model" type. The last time I was in Scandello was in Jan 2020 before COVID hit Brazil. I took home a great little girl next door for the weekend and really enjoyed my time with her. Negotiation was easy and we hit it off well.

The next couple of times I avoided Scandello due to covid restrictions and just used PA. Still in contact with those girls and they keep asking when I am going to be in SP next.

My next trip is mid August and I have three days in SP so I plan on hitting up Scandello the first night and seeing what I can take home. According to my standards of course and barring any covid restrictions. This time, I am going to hang out and see if I can find a Japa. Those seem to be more of a challenge and I like a challenge.

Last time, I did too much in Rio in one night and I think it threw me off and by he time I got to SP, I just wasn't into the girl I was with because I think I was sexed out. This time, I plan on taking it easy in rio and rocking in Scandello.

Glad to hear Scandello is open till 4 am again. I will be hitting it up in my next trip in August.

Enjoyed reading all your reports and I appreciate your contributions.

Most of these GND girls don't smoke or drink (just one or two at most) and I like that as cigarette / beer breath is a turn off for me personally.

I found that if you wait til 4 am or close to almost closing time (5 am) they'll take 500 no questions since they realistically won't be able to land another guy before closing time. I decided to go with a girl at 4:20 or so and they give you a yellow wristband so the staff know you sessioned late when you get out and you still get your 1 HR.

Also if you are lucky and the girl likes you or she actually does it just for fun you can get away for as low as 300 BRL (read a few posts from some lucky posters a few hundred pages ago so it can happen, not likely but luck favors the bold and brave).

    Another thing.

When I went in January I didn't really speak to most of the girls at scadallo. I would just walk around and sit down at the restaurant and see the girls coming in and look for the one I wanted.

Other's can chime in on their thoughts but I didn't want to waste anyone's time just chatting up with a girl if I knew I wasn't 100% about the girl (from looks anyhow).

I didn't want to get any sob stories or pushy remarks if I ended up not sessioning with said girl and as a student of economics I don't want to deprive them of any actual customers while we're having our little chat. I would often see local brazilian guys talking to 2 or 4 girls at a time at a table but I guess that makes more sense to the girls since these guy can come back often so they don't mind chatting up to a guy who can be coming weekly compared to a foreigner who's only in town for a week. I remember coming back my third night at scandallo and none of the girls really piqued my interest so I walked over to this petite japa girl I sessioned with on my first night and told her if she wanted to chat a little and get some appetizer at the restaurant but she declined as she said she was working. Of course she didn't mind talking to a bazilian guy with 4 other girls who ended up not sessioning with any of them after like 2 hours.

One girl came up to me while I was eating at the restaurant asking if she can sit down and talk a bit. She was pretty but she seemed upset and I felt like I was going to get the sob stories and tear works and I was just trying to relax and eat in peace so I told her I was ok.

Another girl came up to me (twice) while I was just looking at the girls walking by at the club area deciding which girl I wanted and asked me if I just liked looking at girls like it was a crime LOL I was just drinking my coke and checking up on my stocks but it did seem pretty weird for her to call me out like that.

I guess I could have gotten a few girls zapp instead of just playing the waiting game but from my own personal experience and a few other posters, Sampa girls can be kinda cold as the few numbers I got from SP went dark and the one girl who I recently contacted trying to reconnect when I get back in Sep keeps making lame excuses like I lost my phone for 11 days and the texting is super generic.

Compared to the carioca girls who I've kept in contact with, they've been super warm and always sending pics and waiting for my arrival! I've tried to get a few back here in miami since I got a penthouse in south beach but apparently brazilians can't enter the US because of the Covid numbers.

Some posters have had great experiences with SP girls who didn't charge alot, were super friendly and traveled with so YMMV.

I'll get more numbers this time around and with the help of some local posters (PM if you'll be there in Sep, my porto is so rusty) I hope to try some non-pros (also is Hinge popular in Brazil like it is in the US or is tinder / bumble / okcupid more popular?

I'll up my reports when I get back as I've noticed alot of posters like a nice writer-eseque journal entry from a famous author with lots of wits and details type of reports and I'd be happy to oblige as I like to write as a hobby.

I just got caught up with currency exchange / lockdown / mistranslations and all the other non sense as a first timer coming to this great nation.

Keep up the good report and looking forward to people's thoughts.

The past Five to Ten pages (going back at least Twenty pages in both RJ and SP forums even better) has lots of information to digest and the discussion of RJ vs SP has been discussed within those pages, including where to hone your monger craft. Visiting both is best and both are very different areas. Have fun and please post detailed reports so other can learn from your experience.

AS indicated, it's wintertime in Brazil (SP&RJ) June-through-September. Temps can get ≤ 55F/12C and Day time generally warm. Bring a light to midweight coat/jacket for evening/night or be prepared to purchase one at mall. This holds true for RJ depending on where you're at wind coming off the water can really bring cool temperatures.

I thought I'd see machismo and even racism (because it's so common in the US), but I hardly noticed it. At the very least, learn these two phrases: Obrigado (thank you) and Desculpa (I'm sorry, or excuse me).
SK Your reporting (Format and Details) has been a delight to read. I am sure your intent was met to be very informative to newbies. Look forward to future reports of your next destinations.

Note. As mentioned there is no need to exchange money at the Airport. Anyone can get from GRU airport to your hotel cashless via UBER or use credit card at the Guarucoop Taxi Stand. Then find appropriate ATM for funds.

That's actually the plan since I'm only going for two weeks I didn't want to do 1 week in each city. I'd rather enjoy the city / culture and pace myself. What I'm more concerned about is the crime since I enjoy walking around which seems like a bad idea in some areas. But I will most likely go to SP in Sept.

Rio and SP are so different. If you like one or the other better, it says more about you (and your personal preferences) than it does about the city (not in a bad way. lol). Both have much to offer. I don't think I gave Rio a fair shot. I'd actually like to spend about 2 weeks in each cities on separate trips.
