I'm wondering if those who have been there would recommend spending a night in Campinas in order to check it out while I'm there. Is it something special compared to Scandallo, Bamboa, or other high end places? Is it worth the drive?

If you have not already finalized your plans, with 8 days you might consider staying in 2 different parts of the city, 4 and 4 for example.
