I have posted the question in the other thread, since no takers there, here a repost of the same logistics question. I know it is touristy, but I always give back.

I am planning on seeing Foz de Iguazu waterfalls. My roundtrip return point is Sao Paulo Brazil. I plan to stay couple of days at the waterfalls area and then continue to BA, Argentina. A) Which city, area at the walls to stay for a better nightlife? Any suggestions? B) Are there any issues crossing the border (Brazil to Argentina, and maybe to Paraguay and back). C) Is CD del Este, Paraguay is worth visiting? Some words on airports will help too. I see one way fares from BA to Sampa are quite steep. So which route is preferable in this triangle: Sampa, Foz, BA? Should I do one way flights or returns? Thank you.

CD del Este has a large waterfall called Salto del Monday, which is quite interesting. You can also visit the Itaipu Dam.

In my experience it is always cheaper to fly internally within a country rather than internationally. So better to fly S. Paulo to Foz, cross the border via land to Puerto Iguazu, then fly P. Iguazu to Bu. Aires. But you would have to check all of this to confirm. I think Foz would have the better nightlife than Puerto, but I have not sought this out myself.

Note that there is a one hour time difference between CD del Este and Foz / Puerto. I almost missed my flight from Foz because I thought that they were the same time, but I was actually running one hour late upon my exit via land from Paraguay.

A good alternative is to go to the Escola de Samba parade, be sure to get your reservation in advance.

Most people will say that the Carnival in Rio is far better than SP. The Carnvial parade inside the stadium is more luxurious. Both cities have a lot of street parading as well, what are called "blocos". You should read up elsewhere on Carnival.

Many thanks to ABG and Rovnak's responses on the carnival and the other options to consider. Since the hangover period is so long after the Carnival, I might consider going before or a couple of weeks after the Carnival.

Can you guys help with a few questions about the Carnival period?

1) During the week of Carnival, does the mongering scene drop clearly in quality for all options: clinicas, boates, freelancers on websites? I would like to experience the best that Brazil has to offer, but if the options are limited in quality, I'd rather come at a different time..

You might also want to ask the same question on the Rio forum because a lot of posters there may not read this sub.

Most people will say that the Carnival in Rio is far better than SP. The Carnvial parade inside the stadium is more luxurious. Both cities have a lot of street parading as well, what are called "blocos". You should read up elsewhere on Carnival.

I do think its important to visit during Carnival ONLY if you are interested in Carnival. Hotel prices will be higher. As noted, the putaria activity will be next to zero during the 5 days of Carnival itself, Friday to Tuesday. In Rio the "hangover" as noted by ABG lasts until the following Saturday. So do not come for putaria during Carnival.

1) During Carnaval all mongering declines dramatically, even some boites and clinicas will close. Call them before you go. I know for sure, that Tangara will be opened.

2) During the week before and after Carnaval there will intense movement, garotas will be coming in to make money.

3) Sao Paulo next Wednesday, Rio next Saturday.

If you can communicate there will be a good chance you can get sex in the same night. But watch out, not all the girls will be garotas de programa.

When I went to Tangara at noon on a Sunday there were only three girls and one other guy. The surroundings are a bit low brow and it's not like a singles bar Or anything. I would have felt super awkward just sitting having juice with this other dude. The girls basically came in one by one and left. They asked which I wanted and Marina was OK looking with a banging body so I chose her..

There are 3 things in your statement that I would like to respond to as they might give a reader the wrong impression.

"Sunday at noon and there were only 3 girls" - Sunday is usually a super busy day "by 2 pm". I get TG lineup messages all day every day on whatsapp and they routinely have 20-30 ladies on a Sunday. Actually every day. The ladies don't all arrive at the same time, and either you got there when they had just opened or it might have been a holiday weekend?

" -I can understand that you might have been uncomfortable but I assure you that no one else would have cared, not the other guy nor the managers nor the ladies. You could have sat there and read your smartphone and no one would have noticed.

They asked which I wanted and Marina was OK looking with a banging body so I chose her" - Actually, you could have said "I am not interested in anyone at the moment", the easiest way to do this for a visitor is to say "I'm thinking" "estou pensando" . And then the management will just ignore you and you can sit there forever and leave when you want or eventually choose someone, 5 minutes or 5 hours later.

I am not trying to pick apart your post to quibble but to straighten out what appear to be some cultural misunderstanding on your part. I think you were inferring some pressure and some "social self consciousness" that really is there only one your side. I think you were "feeling" the way you would be in an American establishment or wherever you are from, but this environment is different. So you may have thought it was awkward, but it was only awkward "for you". Cheers.

Maybe there is a different hang out area? But the lobby is pretty uninspiring and not st all a party atmosphere. So maybe at some other time or with some tips about a part of Tangara I don't know about it would have been OK. But I had absolutely no desire to hang out there.

Haha, the operative word is "CAN hang out". I was not suggesting its a festive hang out but you CAN hang out even if you are the only one. Its not like Rio where for some odd reason they try to hide the clients from each other. There is always a salon to sit in and watch TV at least. I bring a kindle and read if I am waiting to see the rest of the lineup. Did that today, hung out at Prime just to see 2 new girls that were occupied when I arrived. Sat back and read like I was at the library.

Now, there are some locals who really do use the clinicas like 'hangouts', quase-social clubs. If you are ever at Tangara on a weekend the crowd overflows the salon and people hang out in the patio area. I've even hung out in the girls 'hanger' on the other side, but it was a downer because it smelled like a locker room over there LOL. There are some regulars who sit and chat for hours at TG and Brooklin. But that is as you were pointing out. Subject to time and day.

You have to order beer from across the street. I hung out for an hour or 2 at Tangara and it is true that it was more chill and has more loungy space than the other 2 clinicas I visited (Brooklin and Miruna) BUT 1) I had already has a session and 2) I was hanging with ABG. Don't know if those impacted my experience. I was there on a weekday when the lineup is deeper too.

I never knew you could "hang out" at the clinica as long as you want. That's something new I learned about my planning. Just a little more clarification on what you can do? I saw some pics on Tangara website. I see a L shaped brown couch. You simply hang out with the girls or the other mongers on that couch? Or they bring you beers? I guess I will find out when I go. But now I know I can hang out a little before and after my session.

One. For those of you that are able to do 2 pops in 1 hour. How do you do it? Do you blow your load after first 15 minutes? Relax and chit chat for another 30 minutes and then blow load #2 the final 15 minutes? Is that the best strategy? (I'll probably be on 50 MG of viagara so I think I can pull off the 2nd load within the hour) (Unless you recommend I pop a 2nd 50 MG viagara pill right after I blow my first load.) Tell me how your 2 pop guys do it in an hour? (I'm in my late 40's).

Two. For Casarao IS it better to get there at 1 am instead of 11 pm, to increase my odds at landing a girl from Scandallo work shift who goes to Casarao after her Scandallo shift? I guess what I'm saying is when is the best time to get the best talent at Casarao on a Friday and Saturday night. I'll be there Friday Jan 25.

Three. Is going to Tangara on Saturday at noon a little too early? Should I go there at 1 pm for best talent and most choices of girls to choose from? Do the freelancers come on Saturday or do they only come on Sundays.

4. I plan on going to Scandallo on Tuesday night. Again best time to go is 1 am instead of 11 pm? I do plan on soaking the Scandallo atmosphere. Sorry for the several questions, just want to do it right, for my 1st visit to Sao Paulo, and increase my odds, with the best girl available at Casarao, Tangara, Scandallo, and obviously get the best service that Brazilians are known for. (The brazilian girls did well for me in 2014 in Rio Di Janeiro). And I just started taking viagara for the last 6 months. Any tips to above 4 questions greatly appreciated. Referring to your third question, I would go there around 1 PM, see the girls coming in and, choose a girl right away before the place gets crowded.

I also prefer to be the first customer of her, because girls are still relaxed.
