I would like to compare which would be the cheaper and most importantly, the easier option.

Even outside the airport, it's not simple. I went to the Vivo store with my passport 4 times yesterday and I still have issues with my phone. I got to go back and see if they can fix it. Right now, it's only my internet that's not working. But I can't Uber around without it. I might look into GoogleFi as Lalabo mentioned.
As for the currency exchange, I don't recall the exchange rate being mentioned regarding the airport. 5:1 exchange rate at the mall was decent, so I lost $10 from that mistake at the airport. I don't think I really regret it. I didn't need the cash, but you never know what emergency you'd run into. I've read the post regarding using Schwab. And I'll get around to it, probably by the end of the year. But I don't think it's much of an issue. The phone problem was / is the biggest hurdle right now.

For a very interesting tour of Sao Paolo, take a ride on the main street leading to Universidad do Sao Paolo.
Day or night, that street is lined with tall, tanned women in colorful, sexy dresses. Just grab their crotches and check to make sure their dicks are not bigger than yours hehe.
I guess plans mean jack when shit hits the fan. I'll write out my experience in case another noob can benefit from it. Skip to the FR if airport and phone acquisition stories don't interest you.

I have been a FKK fan for last 6 years. I thought it was amazing system where you can session with girls, relax in the sauna, eat or sleep for the entire day. I have missed it for the last 18 months. SP is competing for the title. One thing still going for FKK is that is that the girls are naked or near naked. You can really pick your body type. Almost all FKK speak English which is a big play. In SP, the girls are dressed and they can really hid flaws. The service and price of SP clinicas is on top though. For 30 to 50 US $ you can have one full hour of GFE sex with CIM and anal included. If you want to party at night, you can go to the boates but it's more expensive. In SP, got to learn Portuguese to speak with the girls, google translate isn't the same.

I went to Scandallo x2, connection x3 and Bomboa x 1. Scandallo girls are beautiful as mentioned previously, they are dressed to impress but many have fake tits. They closed at 9 pm this week so it competed with my clincias schedule, which most regularly close also at 9 pm. Connections and Bomboa closes around 4 am. I like connection the best, maybe mostly for the hours. I would do the clinicas during the day and head over to connection around 10 or 11 pm. It's a big club party scene in connection and the girls are less impressive and in more club wear but there are less fake tits there. There were still 5-6 stunners for me. Scandallo had only the restaurant and outdoor patio open which limited girl interaction. The girls said they missed the dancing in the closed indoor lounge area. Connection girls would go to the room for 300 to 500 reals with room costing 140. Scandallo girls settled for 400 to 700 with room costing 240. Warning, they will ask for 700 to 1400 first so you got to negotiate. Entry was only consumption for me since I always went over the minimum, I think it was 100 connection and 150 Scandallo (due to the reduced hours). Bomboa is a small classy cocktail lounge with I think 200 consumption min with maybe 20 -30 girls. You get a table and waiter, who you can ditch but there is really not much to walk around. My waiter asked for a tip when I checked out and I thought he was nice enough to give him something. No tipping in connection and scandallo. In my opinion, the service from the boates girls is good but not as good as the clinicas girls, who really aim to please you one scandallo girl didn't DFK and did covered BJ, my mistake.

This one of the closet hotel to the clinicas and Prime. I asked the front desk, you can check in after 9 am if there is availability in this large hotel. Before 9 am, they will charge half day. If checking out very late, like 8 pm they also charge half day. For those with USA flights. I've been staying at an Airbnb in meoma which was even closer. I was walking around this morning to see my housing options for next time.

Posts: 33I went to Scandallo yesterday, Saturday evening and stayed until closure at 9 pm. As there were recently a bit contrary reports on the situation at Scandallo, unfortunately my experience was almost exactly the same as Lalabo's:
The only areas open are the bar right by the entrance, adjacent smoker room where people are cramped together and the restaurant, which was pretty much deserted. Disco and Patio closed, Party atmosphere non -existent. Girls quality the lowest I have ever experienced in my maybe 30+ total visits before and during pandemic. Total maybe 50-60 girls, some older and overweight, average 5's and 6's at best, some would even have a hard-time in cheaper places. Few doable girls, hardened pros, pushy and annoying trying to get you to the room, certainly no model quality. Reduced Cover 50 Reais + 150 Consumption. Girls confirmed that during the week movement is even slower. I don't think I will go back until they get back to normal opening hours. The place to be at the moment is definitely Connection. They have more and better girls with quite a few who are normally working at Scandallo.

I have been in SP for the last week. I visiting a bunch of clinicas and by far the best is Prime. They have usually 10-16 girls per day with a rotating staff of at least 30. I've been every day and there several new girls I haven't seen before who I have to add to do list. I love thin girls and spinners with natural breasts. The other clinicas I have visited usually only 1-2 girls that interested me. They are more fake T & A But guys love that down here. Other good places that I like are Enjoy and Indy (insanely cheap at 150 reals for one full hour).
A few notes. Time in clinicas is set and girls stay the full time, either 30 minutes or one hour. I always pick one hour, which is only 10-15 US $ more. One girl who I wasn't clicking with asked me 5 times if it was ok to leave the room after the first shot because she didn't want to get in trouble. After the first shot, if the girl ask if you want a massage that their code word question for Are we done with sex? My sessions have been 50% full on sex for the full hour or if the first shot was just good, I would just opt for a ok massage from a naked girl for 20 minutes. CIM (almost always offered) and anal (if offered) is included. Also their start hours are misleading, Prime and other say they are opened at 10 am but girls don't come in until 12 pm or 1 pm. Get the clinicas WhatsApp status by asking them to add you to their contacts and you get daily schedule and pics on status. I found this to be very useful to see if I going to check out a place. You can also schedule a girl ahead of time by messaging. One last thing, very few of girls or madams speak English so google translate your messages.

Rather than running around all over the place trying to acquire a SIM card, I signed up with a major USA Carrier with an excellent international plan. All I have to do is turn on roaming when I get to my destination, and it just works! I have the internet, and I can make calls. I get why some might want a local SIM card, but its never been worth the aggravation to me. And as for getting money, I used to carry a lot with me, then search out a good exchange house, but no more. Instead, I'm sold on withdrawing what I need from the ATMs. Exercise the right precautions, and you can do this safely. And go with the right financial institution, and you can avoid ATM fees too. My bank charges zero foreign transaction fees, and if the local bank charges fees, my institution refunds 100% of those at the end of the month! Getting money is discussed thoroughly in the "Real vs Dollar and other currency issues" thread. Guys please, please, please RTFF to get the best advice and suggestions on how to deal with these logistical issues so that you spend less time worrying about SIM cards and access to cash, and more time on hitting that gash! All of this has been discussed extensively on the site.

Posts: 2267In RJ you can get a registered (cadastro) sim card at Central for 17 reais.
Not in SP.
My intuition is it is security.
Think of all the things you can do with a phone number, which in turn gets attached to whatsapp and all the other messaging apps.

You could try saying, "If you sell me a SIM card, I'll buy R100 credit," and maybe they get commission on that.
