I am debating between my visit to Brazil (SP and Rio) vs Columbia (Cartagena and Medellin)? Folks who been to both can help which one is better. Nuttin to do on Sunday so went to prime for the first time. Place is very low key on the outside, can't tell what's on the inside no parking lot. Rang the bell and was let in. There were 10 girls maybe, ranging from 5-9 on my scale.

I also was looking into this with the reports from Rio thread that antigen tests were not easy to get due to omicron. Even in June last year in height of delta in SP, there wasn't a problem in getting an antigen test in SP. But in the USA, starting this last Saturday private insurance is required to pay for 8 self home antigen tests per person per month. For a self test to be valid for travel, you need to take the test on televideo to a service and they will send you a report in 20 minutes. I ordered 6 BinaxNOW tests For $150 + 30 for overnight shipping from emed.com I expect to get reimbursed by my insurance since my insurance did not put a price max per test (not sure if all insurance are the same). Even if not reimbursed it will be $30 per test. The emed.com service is one recommended by United airlines. I will try it a few weeks and let people know if it works.

Most people at the establishment aren't wearing masks. I know a guy that caught Covid his 3rd day clinica hopping and he wore a mask in the lobbies. Even though most Brazilians are vaxxed its almost as bad as last year.

Likely those were correct prices. Like scandallo, the mixers like Red Bull (maybe tonic if it came from a small can) are extra. The girl like to have guys order them a mixed drink that comes in a big glass that has liquor and Red Bull which cost around 90 r. My girl asked me specifically if she can order it and then the bartender repeated the order to me so I knew what I was ordering. My girl was happy to get it, so I didn't mind. These drink prices in scandallo are similar. Other drinks are cheaper and beers are 20 r.

The usual cover all night is 30 r without consumption or 50 r with all consumption. Just say 30 or 50 to them in Portuguese or English and they will know. Much cheaper than Scandallo's cover. I don't know if it ever increases for special events.

When they have a concert or known DJ's shows it cost more to get in.

I feel like I'm learning everything the hard way, just fell for an epic scam at Casarao. Was talking with one girl who was offering 400 $ for an hour and I took her up on it, then she said her and her two friends could join for a special price 1000 $ for 2 hours. I kinda felt something was off but I also didn't want to miss the chance to tick something off my bucket list so I agreed.

Trouble started when we got to the room. The girls demanded that I pay 1500 $ up front for all three and I refused. After they attempted to convince me a bit more I told them I would just leave and they agreed to half of the original 1000 $ up front. Then they began changing the rules. There was a price increase recently. It's now 250 r for one hour. They probably didn't change the price on the website. You can also do 30 minutes which is 190 r (I think). The 190 r price for one hour is the Florista discount price for reviews. Previously discussed here before if you search for it.

The difference might be because you are paying with a card. A lot of places charge extra for paying with a card which is usually 20 reais or a percentage in some places. The reviewers pay less because they get a discount.

Hopefully you are recovering! Do you think infections are widespread in SP? The official case numbers that I saw online for SP are going up but was not that high. I wasn't sure how believable were they. Rio numbers was much worst.

In regards to tests, That's a significant change from the last wave when I had no difficulty in getting a test at most pharmacies in moema. I guess when you stress the system, everything collapses and the number of tests are limited.
