Brazil is one of the few places that Americans can travel to now. Unfortunately, I don't feel safe going at this time. So I wait. But I know what is awaiting me there when I return!

I have a trip planned next week for some work and was wondering how the procedures are for entering.

Yup. It seems very high for the current exchange rate and the market, would have expected rates to have fallen. Guess they haven't.

These tutes aren't stupid. The understand and follow exchange rates, and make adjustments, just like we do.

No web girl like that is going anywhere for R150. Definitely USD and pretty steep at current exchange rates (5:1) R750 but not terribly unexpected at prior (4:1) R600.

Can anyone with boots on the ground suggest any more that's open during this crazy COVID time? Once I have a few ill venture out and find others, but having a few would be a helpful starting point.

Thanks again for any members nice enough to answer. Normally I would just go and explore / find out for myself, but with some many places closing down and all this craziness I thought it would be worth a shot to ask LOL.

Totally by chance I found this place in Cotia, it's called Happy Space, rua the Barra 684, Parque Nincao, Cotia. Been there 3-4 x since the beginning of June. On average there were about 20-25 girls and maybe 10-15 guys there on those nights. When you pull up it looks like the place is closed, but it's not. You need to wait for the security guy to give you your commanda, then they let you in. Either drive or walk up the driveway to the bar. From where I am in Pinheiros it's about a 25 minute Uber ride, costing about real $50/ real $100 by taxi. Downside, the standard facilities are not that great. Unless you pay for the luxury rooms (which are right off the bar & extremely noisy, IMHO).

As several have mentioned, the reason SP is better for mongering than Rio is the boates.......the boates (nightclubs).

Interesting comment about Belo Horizonte. Fitfteen, twenty years ago the most beautiful working girls from BH (Mineiros) came down to Rio to make some money. Now the top working girls make their make their way to SP.

Thanks for the comment Wyatt! I've been lurking in the shadows and trying to decided which city would be better for a first timer. It appears that Rio might be the safer choice from what I've been reading. If I may be so bold to ask the question to the experienced SP members, what do you guys do for fun right now at night? From what I've been reading the bar / clubs are closed and restaurants must close by 5. I did get a few ideas of some Boates from another members post. Casarao is an example. The Rio forum having far more thread counts is deceiving. The Rio forum goes back to 2008. As many long-time members know, a lot has changed in Rio in those twelve years. Rio is also still a premier tourist destination. Men are likely to venture there for a beach vacation and Rio's past reputation for mongering.

They go back a little bit further to 2002. It's hard to believe it's been that long ago.

You are thinking about balcony bar. It was right up street from Carretão Churrascaria. It closed when Rio had the world cup in 2014.

Rio was also my first love. But man has a lot changed since I started going (for the worst). Quatro por Quatro is gone. L'uomo is gone. Aereoporto is gone. Rio Antigo is gone. Help is gone. What was the name of the place up the road from Mab's that used to be the place to be before it moved to Mab's? That's gone too! It was shuttered before the Olympics. All of these closures have caused a major hit to the Rio scene. And now I hear that Bomboa in Sao Paulo may be gone for good too? This is sad my fellow mongers. So, so sad! I hope things are looking better in 2021, and that maybe some termas and clubs will re-open, or maybe some new ones will pop up somewhere.
