For those who were questioning Scandalo, last night went with a fellow ISGer to scandalo. I don't think the clinicas need to be "defended" per se. They are a good value, and you can find some real diamonds in them. It's just that in my experienced view the girls who work at those on average aren't as hot. On my scale, the average for optics at the clinicas is a 6, whereas for the top boates the average on my scale is an 8. Some guys put the clinica average at 7, but for me it's lower at 6, making the gap between the clinicas and the nightclubs two full points, with most clinica girls therefore not meeting my minimum 7 score in order for me to consider sessioning with them. But, that's just me and my ratings scale and requirements. Turgid has said many times that he would go rather low on his personal scale if he felt the need to "get some" and just had to have it, but not me. Got to be at least a 7 on my scale, or else no deal can be had! And closing my eyes would change nothing LOL!

This is great info. In the period leading up to the closure of Help I never visited SP only transited. I started going to SP after. I have never seen the quality of babes in SP clinicas that I used to see in Centaurus back then. I certainly must dig deep in my pockets and visit Scandallo when next I visit SP. I just checked the pics for Fairuza Balk, and I don't think the Bia I knew looked anything like that. My Bia was more likely of German decent, as she looked European, and she was skinny with an oval face.

I am pretty sure Rio Bob knows her. I remember him recommending her to a monger at L'uomo back in January, 2003. I had to do a trick to jump ahead of that monger and pick her up, because I was heading to the airport after my session.

I saw Bia last in January 2003. The reason I never saw her again was due to the effing Brazilian consulate in San Francisco. I had to renew my US passport a month prior and needed a new visa for Brazil. The lady consulate at that time did not like me for some reason, and tried to discourage me from getting a visa at all cost, or so it seemed at the time. So, she asked me for so much documentation, including a letter from my boss authorizing me to travel to Brazil and later requiring the specific dates of travel. I was lucky to have a nice boss who agreed to all her demands. And then at the end, the MF gave me the visa but wrote on it that this visa is valid for one single trip only. I was so pissed at her but I was also dying to see Bia again.

That same year, in November I went to Thailand for my first trip to that part of the world. I never looked back. I have been going to Thailand every year since then, sometimes twice a year. I missed the trip to Thailand this year for the first time.

I did revisit Rio in 2011, and had a great time. I also visited Sao Paulo a few years ago, and had a great time as well. Planning to revisit SP more often.

I went to two drugstores in Sao Paulo (Drogasil and PagueMenos) to check about antigen tests in preparation for my return to the US. Both charge 99 real, takes 20 minutes, and you have the option of a nasal swab or oral swab. Will check some more drugstores but this may be standard in all of them. Guess I'll take the oral option, given what you say.

Oral swab may not be a bad idea. The Drogasil I got the test done said they have only nasal option. Also it is interesting to learn the price varies by location for the same chain.

Back in May, I got my test done at the hotel in Rio and was very surprised how aggressive they were with swabbing. So this time I told the person not to push the swab too far and be gentle but it didn't matter. I guess they mindlessly do what they do to everybody.

The self administered test is not a bad idea in Brazil because the folks who do the tests there seem to enjoy jamming the swab valiantly as far up you nose as possible. Their excuse, it may produce false positives if swab is not inserted until it hits the your brain. Snip.

Partly because fares are bit higher for Rio than SP from the where I live. I may book a open-jaw ticket between SP and Rio next year. I do like travelling in sleeper bus between Rio and SP as they are most comfortable rides. They are very good alternative to booking a last minute flight which can be very expensive.

IMO Sao Paulo always had higher quality (and quantity) of women than Rio. As great as Centaurus, Solarium, L'Uomo, etc were (and of course Help), the boates in Sao Paulo always had the best talent. Although going back, say, 15+ years, I think the best boate was probably Cafe Foto. For large numbers of really hot-looking women, IMO Sao Paulo was and still is the best place in the world.

This is 3rd leg of my trip. I started in SP and went to Rio before returning. I took midnight sleeper bus from Rio and got to SP early morning. Without CPF you can't book bus tickets online, so I had to go to bus station to book ticket.

The lineup in SP boetes / clinicas and Rio termas were much better than during my previous visit back in May.

I met my favorite Brazilian girl of all time at Centaurus. "Talita", who I have posted many photos of. We weren't just fucking. We were making love. Yes, those were some days! I would say that overall Scandallo has far, far more hot girls to choose from than Centaurus ever had. The thing is that the girls walk around in skimpy bikinis in a termas like Centaurus, whereas they are clothed at a place like Scandallo. So, harder to get a body preview. But, I have yet to be disappointed with my Scandallo picks. Not once! Not yet.
