I read on the forum that Momea is a good part of town to stay.

Moema is an enjoyable neighborhood (I fully agree with SG on this point), but there's few nightlife options compared to other bairros. Also the point to consider is that Moema is quite far from everything and that taxis are f*****g expensive in Sao Paulo.

Anyhow if you arrive on a Sunday evening, your only P4P options will be N.Pestana or Augusta strip bars and then Love Story. So better stay in Centro IMO, something like at Comfort Hotel Downtown (former Mercure), which is located rua Araujo in Consolaçao. Same street than LS by the way.

I have visited SP many times, and probably one of the best experiences of my life was in SP in AUG of '03. This one will be different, as the company interest has moved out to Campinas, I will have to find my own hotel in SP. Before on the expense account, it was always the Intercontinetal, but that is out of my price range.
I have two ?'s if I may, has anyone had any experience at this hotel, I read on the forum that Momea is a good part of town to stay. Sonesta Ibirapuera Hotel, just curious.
The other is with this being Easter Sunday, they choice is two days in Rio or SP, I am curious if any of you guys have a feel for the talent available Sunday evening in SP Thanks in advance1

I just came back from my latest business trip to Sao Paulo.

This time my business meetings let me little time for mongering; moreover I was escorted (in the polite meaning of this word) by my secretary.

Went there on a weekday. Was the first time so was early around 10pm. They can sense a non-portugese speaker from far away. Expect to get quoted higher prices. The club has some cornered off rooms on the second floor, no doors on it and has couches. Action can be had here but not really comfortable. My experience is about the same but you can find "specials" depending on how many sharks in the water and how many "little fish" are around.
