I used my credit card with Uber in Brazil. Totally safe. One big issue: after about 2 months Uber rejected my credit card for no reason so I had to pay cash if I wanted to use Uber. Rejection of their credit card all of a sudden for no reason is an issue many heavy Uber users have with Uber all over the world it seems.

It happens all the time. A transaction fails, and Uber notifies you. But you can actually continue to use the card. Before your next trip, Uber app will ask you to repeat the transaction, and it's usually successful. I don't think it depends by your card.

My trip has been weird. I'm here on business and every time I decided to hit up a clinica I had to jump on a call or put out a work related fire. I'm staying in Moema at a guest friendly hotel so for the last three days I've only engaged with escorts that outcall or allow a visit to them. While doing my pre trip research I found 8 escorts who are active on Twitter and using Gpguia to check their reviews I've struck gold 7/8 so far. These women devoured me as soon as the hotel room door closed. The level of GFE that I've experienced has been top notch. Is it safe to use Paypal as the payment option for Uber payments? My credit card is connected to paypal but I figure paypal could be a barrier. I read some guys using their cards were getting charges added to their cards in hours of using their cards as payments for uber. I have lots of 100 bills and it's such a pain to get smaller bills all the time as most my trips are like 20 reais or under and 100 is too much to change for some drivers.

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with both Agoda and especially the Mercure hotel chain.

Even though my booking was non refundable, I followed a few people's advice on here (thanks again BTW) asking if they would consider a credit voucher or letting me change the dates and they just let me cancel the booking without any charge.

They didn't have to do that, so it's great to see good customer service still exists.

I tweaked the map of Sao Paulo (courtesy of World Traveler) and added different groups / icons for Clinicas, Boates (not sure if this differs from "Clubs" Clubs, Swinger Clubs, Prives, Love Hotels, Other, Hotels / Neighborhoods / Airports). What I don't like about Google My Maps is the integration with Google Maps for directions, which sucks!. I thought it'd integrate just fine, but it doesn't, it almost defeats the purpose of why I updated the map. I'm slowly moving these things over to Google Maps, which sucks because you don't have visible groupings with individual icons..

I use the card with Uber all over the world. And when I pay in restaurants I use Apple Pay. I never bring the card with me, only when I need to get money from the ATM to pay the girls. I go around with my phone and some cash only, I keep the rest at home. I don't get more than 1040 per time. It's enough for 2/3 girls. PayPal is trash, don't use it.

I use my credit card all over Brazil and never had issues (knock on wood). The times I have had my info stolen was while I was at home.

I personally am not a fan of carrying cash so I carry the least amount I need to. Depends on the cost of the trip, I will pay cash or charge it on card.

I wouldn't say that the online escorts are trash. I would say I have had good returns on online escorts. I have found that you have to plan early and send a whole bunch of messages beforehand and weed out the ones who don't act interested. It takes some time. But it depends on the person. I enjoy the boates and Scandello but have found that I don't have connection to the girl after I am done banging them and I want them gone. Whereas with an online girl, I have established a connection so I enjoy my time with her. To each his own. I guess.

Trash was too strong of a word I agree. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Had a good time with Tieri from club model and Melina from MClass although I do have to say their photos were a bit misleading but of course you always have to expect that to some degree. Since you 'cannot rely on reputable agencies like in London, Toronto, etc. You have to wade through the jungle of independent escorts in Brazil. With true independents, you have to be careful. Rovnak, The Cane and I have written on techniques for finding a great escort. It's just hard to implement on short notice. It's also best to ask the forum for escort recommendations and stick with those. There are truly great escorts in Sao Paulo.

I try not to get too engaged with escort photos. There is this beautiful morena-clara (fair brunette) on Twitter and other escort sites. The local guys have posted about a dozen questions in Portuguese about who she is and why does she only have a couple reviews from one and done reviewers. She sounds like a hustler right off the bat.

Many guys prefer the boates over escorts. There is a time and place for both. Some nights I can't be out in a club and / or I have an afternoon free. When I stay in Jardins, some of the escorts live a short walk away. Moema is another popular area for high-end escorts.

My hotel booking at the Mercure is not refundable but they haven't charged me yet.

Yes I paid for two guest. The extra guest made the room like $12 USD more so I figured that's not bad all things considered. Surprised me too. She was the first and only guest as I had booked only one night and it was hard getting a hold of any other girl plus it was getting late. There was a lot of families staying at the hotel I noticed so I think they charge a fee so it discourages people to bring girls into their room. I'm sure they don't want angry girls screaming in the lobby about not getting paid enough or being asked to leave when its a different girl who shows up. That's why I didn't sent her away because I didn't want to cause a whole fight since I was trying to get another girl to my room later. Didn't end up happening anyways. Sigh. Its a 5 star hotel so I just chalk it up to that. 4 star hotels seem to not care as much.

Sure sounds like they took advantage of you as they knew she was a pro and you wouldn't object. If I do book the Hyatt, I'll be sure to meet any online tute downstairs or outside and bring her up. If they want me to register her, no problem, but I will definitely argue any guest fee if I paid for double occupancy and I hadn't registered a 2nd guest yet.
