    Scandallo report

I was in SP for the first time two weeks ago. I had read the reports about Scandallo from SocratesNY and decided to check it out. I went several times, both daytime and late evening. It is as Socrates says, a very high-end establishment with many well-dressed women in many shapes and sizes. I read carefully through the positive and negative reports in this forum, developed and expectation, which was largely met. It is high-end mongering and not cheap. If you are on a tight budget, you will be frustrated. The cost to get in is 500 after 7 pm, and the barfine is 300. So we are talking 800, about US $160, in just overhead, although some of that can be used for alcohol and food. You start to party with a girl, the overhead may be much more. During daytime there may be 30 gals. Evenings I'd guess 150. The club itself is class. Absolutely beautiful with great decor, sound system, wait staff, and food. The club is huge with many large spaces. I particularly like the large garden space.

I like slender spinners. I am not into oversized bunda and tits. Most of the ladies were too big and not doable. But oversized and fake is the trend worldwide. Seems many guys like it,. You have to go to Asia to find mostly natural thin bodies, and even there they are on the decline. But 10% were very attractive. I had a fantastic time with several of them. Partied heavily with one of them on two occasions. About half of them wanted to do CBJ, and about half of those could be talked out of it. But that is not an issue for me. The more attractive slender girls were expecting more money than the big bunda types.

Went to Helpe in Rio about 12 years ago. Would say that Helpe and Scandallo quality and quantity are comparable.

I love Thailand for its spinners and its topless hands-on gogo bars. It is also very safe and the food is great. I would rate Thailand above SP, and SP above Dubai / FKK / CR. But we all have our own personal preferences when it comes to body types, ambiance, safety and food. So your ranking may differ. I have not bee to Colombia, so cannot weigh in there.

One very positive thing about Scandalo is that none of the girls were the least perturbed by my age (60 year old white guy from Canada). In some of the bars in Thailand, some girls will only go with young Asian guys. But that is a minority of the girls. In most gogos and soi 6 bars, girls will go with anyone. Also, the Latina can be very special. High energy and emotional, which can be great fun.

I came here for information for my trip to Sao Paulo, the last on my global mongering checklist. I asked a simple question to someone, and you provided an unsolicited response of “lower your expectations of 200” without explaining what number it should be.

So, what number should it be? 100? 50? If I’m going to spend thousands to travel there, and you're offering unsolicited advice, I think I should know. You're clearly not experienced with providing good unsolicited advice.

Attached is me with pornstar Lauren Phillips (I’ve been with plenty of others). You don’t get to that level of “experience” without knowing how to get good information, and blocking out all the useless information.

My point is simple, "lower your expectations" is not advice unless you clarify HOW and to WHAT regards it needs to be lowered. Does a person need to expect 100 girls instead? 80? Bad attitudes? Bad English? Fat and ugly women? Covered blowjob? My guess is that you always offer unsolicited advice, but fail to scratch beyond the surface.

Again, you offered unsolicited generic input to my post and labeled it as advice, not me. I didnt ask you anything, my post was for another users trip repot.

    That was not clear?

I hope your trip gets better. Don't worry we've all been here done that. I have to say 100% of the problems that you are having right now could have been prevented if you spent time reading the posts on here that people spend time writing on. Look for the post that are comprehensive and long. Those novels that people wrote in here are very helpful in preventing problems like what you are going through. It sounds like you didn't read this group's post before you arrived because the topics have been beaten to death over and over in here. Be prepared to run into more problems because a lot of things work differently there. Thanks for sharing.

So my first day in Brazil was pretty disappointing. My first day after any long flight usually sucks but I has extra reason to be frustrated.

To start GRU is the only airport I've been to where there is nowhere to buy a sim card. It's really sucks being in a new country without any data to use maps or uber. I can still book an uber using the airports wifi but I figure I should grab some cash just in case my card doesn't cooperate (and it doesn't). Turns out the atms are even worse than the atms in Colombia (so far) and the exchange rates plus fees are horrible. The best ATM I can find offers an exchange rate 20% below market rate and a $24 fee. This sucks but I withdraw just enough cash to get me to my hotel in hopes I can find a better ATM elsewhere.

I get to my hotel and my main priority is to still find a sim card, but I discover that 90% of stores are closed on Sunday. The hotel clerk tells me that there is a mall about a 6 min drive away (30 min walk) so I book another Uber using the hotel wifi and go there. I only see luxury clothes stores and no mobile providers so I find the information desk and they tell me that Vivo is on floor 2 and Claro is on floor 3. After being lost for another 15 minutes I learn that in Brazil the ground floor is level 0 not 1. I go to the Vivo store and the staff is all busy. I go to Claro and I see 3 employees helping 2 customers so I take a seat at the desk and wait. After waiting for 5 min I interrupt one of the employees and ask how much longer. He apathetically says "I don't know" so I leave in a very passive aggressive manner. I go back to Vivo and one of the employees is kind enough to tell me I need to take a number and points towards a screen that has no number on display. I don't get it but I take a number and wait. The waiting is slow so I go upstairs to floor 3 (floor 4 in north american) and I order a wrap. Once again I am issued a number so I sit and wait again, and I people-watch to pass the time. I see lots if beautiful women and I also see a 12 year old girl wearing one of those sexy underboob shirts and I am disturbed. I get my wrap and it is decent. I go back downstairs and Vivo is now ready to help me. As soon as they figure out I'm a foreigner they ask for my passport and obviously I don't have it on me because everybody I talked to told me to only carry what I needed in Brazil. I have to go back to my hotel but I have no cash so I need to find another shitty ATM. There are no atms in the mall so I have to across the street. Banco Santander does not accept my debit card so I go across another street to Bradesco. They are offering an exchange rate 11% under market rate and a $20 fee. This also sucks but it's the best so far. I get more cash and I'm finally headed back to my hotel, but no Uber this time since there's no wifi. Turns out taxis are almost twice as expensive as Uber.

By the time I get back to my hotel, pick up my passport, go back to the mall and get my sim card set up, it's already been 8 hours since my plane landed. I'm jet-lagged and tired as fuck and I'm secretly hoping that half the mall staff die in a fire because the firefighters can't tell what floor they're on. I'm too tired and frustrated to do anything else that day.

If anybody here is going to be a first time visitor to Brazil, please learn from my mistakes.

I don't know what your list is. I know this setup but my experience was YMMV because the ones I had are all from twitter. There is a reason I like them. I have reported this as well.

I am assuming you did not try clinica. It may turn out differently if you have tried because it usually is reliable.

See my post below. You are absolutely choosing the wrong option if you are dealing with exchange rates and killer fees. Choose "no conversion" and the local bank is not involved in the exchange rate at all. I know factually this works at Santander and Bradesco.

Also doing phone wrong IMO. Get Google FI before you leave the states. It uses an ESIM so you can add your to any modern phone. You don't do anything when you reach Brazil or 200 other countries. Just power on and you are good to go. You can log into the web and pause service any time. So you can only have it active when you travel. You MUST signup and activate from US tho. Another benefit was when my phone was pickpocketed in Rio I could just logon my computer and shut off phone / internet instantly. Then restore later on new phone.

You have reinforced my decision to set up my google Fi account. Obrigado.

Sorry to hear about your frustrations so far, I'm sure things will get better. Looking forward to more updates / experiences!
