Well I've slowed down a bit in SP from the PFP scene because I met, and have been happy with my namorada (gf).

Great girl, from the Natal area, living with family and working at their family business.

It seems that Vani was visited by the marketing fairy queen. She changed the unattractive name of her newest venue to something more enticing.

The former name « Casa daTia Joana » sounded (in my ears, at least) more like a name to depict an old Baiana selling acarajé on the corner of a street.

Visiting the site, I realize that they changed the former name to something more adequate: Paraíso da Vani.

It sounds a lot better and I'm sure that in that kind of Paradise you cna have a Hell of a fun!

São Paulo is probably my favorite (big) city in the world, even after New York, London and Paris. Unfortunately I'm objective enough to perceive what I consider to be (some of) the negative aspects of that megacity.

Once again, I'm reading in today's newspaper (Folha de São Paulo) that there is a wave of assaults (arrastões) not only in retaurants (15 since the beginning of the year) but also in hig prestige preios (in Jardins, for example). The Santa Margherita building, on 2, 271 Bela Cintra, was invaded yesterday (Saturday) by a group (quadrilha) of 12 thiefs.

Famous restaurants were also attacked by group of thiefs recently: Pizzaria Bráz (an institution in Higienopolis) , Grigio (in Moóca) , La Tambouille (Jardins). Too bad. But I guess that in a megacity like São Paulo these are « isolated events ».

Still have fun in that marvelous city.

Is this any indication of what current scene in sp? My opinion is no because this site has some average looking women.

Granted that all pix are photoshopped, it is worth mentioning that the photoshopped pix of the girls from 5 yrs ago were much enticing than today's pix. The talent in Brazil is simply no longer there. It is like their soccer team. Great players from 94 till 2006 than nothing.

I'll be visiting Sao Paulo for 6-7 months in a near future and need som advice and guidance.

Will stay at a business hotel for the whole period of time which is dreadful and booring.

I would like to meet a brasililian girl that could both act as GF and guide during my stay.

Of course with economical compensation. Where do I find girls like that in Sao Paulo, or should I just find an escort that I could frequently visit?

Or massage parlors or brothels?

It all depends on your pocked.

The first alternative: learn portuguese, go to the Jardins bars and pubs, fall in love with some beautie and get married. The most expensive and unpleasant opition.

Second alternative: pay a good independent GDP. Prices per day are in between R$ 900, 00 till R$ 2. 000, 00. Is expensive but still a better alternative than getting married!

Also avoid turist mouse traps!

If you prefer a short term rental, prices will be R$ 250, 00 / R$ 300, 00 / hour.

Third alternative: go to a good CLínica / privêe and pay by hour, nornally between R$ 120, 00 till R$ 400, 00 / hour.

In all cases, some portuguese skills will help a lot!

Actually, as I've done many times, you can easily go to a mid-range boate, like say Casarao or Night House on Augusta, or a Clinica or Prive, and meet and bond with a garota.

If she likes you, you can explain that you'll be around for a while and you can arrange for a nice friendship, with you helping her out a bit, but not outrageous.

I've made some good friendships and girls come over for free to very little $ and stay the night or a few nights, whatever.

Yes, portuguese required, the more the better, but even a little is better than nothing.

Having a pleasant personality doesn't hurt either.

Also, going to the regular pubs and bars to meet girls is fairly easy too.

Just because you meet a nice girl, doesn't mean you have to marry them.

Plenty of nice, sexy Brasileiras that like to go out, have fun, laugh and make love, without having to marry them.

Again, portuguese and personality once again required.

Then finally, as ABG says, you can always just pay girls, either at the daytime Clinicas, the night time Boates or thru the internet services.

Dear fellow mongers.

I will soon be visiting Sao Paulo for 5-6 months due to business, hence I will be all alone at a hotell which is really booring and dreadful.

What I need is some advice from you guys, where and what should I look for when it comes to some female companionship and city guide.
