Also the Quality of posts / reports

I agree, especially the quality, depth, and detail of posts have significantly improved. There have even been a number of reports on new venues or seldom mentioned venues which means monger are venturing out and exploring a little more out of their comfort zone.

I also hope that reports start to come in on other areas of Brazil as well.

    Slowest Time of Year

For those who have visited multiple times or spend months / weeks during their stay, is there a slower time of year when there isn't as much action? I can imagine that the holidays are a little slower because of people wanting to spend time and money with family.

Casarão Sunday is a good bet, probably not the whole place will be open but it will have women and less men so good for you. Bahamas is the "only" boate open Sundays, I don't recommend.

I'm not a fan of website girls in SP, its expensive for the time you get and they tend to behave more like entitled princess. My feeling.

Try Scandallo, Cafe Photo and Bomboa for Boates.

My hope is to hit a clinicas around mid morning. Is that even possible on a Sunday's? I have narrowed it down to palms, pro, lotus, and Prime. That evening I'the like to go to casarao because it's open Sunday. Will it be dead on Sunday? The rest of the week I hope to pull in an escort from a site for overnight and try scandello. Please let me know if I am missing anything!

This site has been incredibly helpful!

Mate, sorry for your experience but SP I would say is not the place to be calling websites or agents or any of the sort. You go to the boates you speak with the women you like, you see if theres a feeling and you take them there or you take them to hotel / flat. Thats the best experience ever, and for that SP is unparalleled. I haven't been to Colombia yet, but been all over US, Europe, Asia and don't think there's a better city / ease of being a punter than SP. With soooo many different types of women, because that's the thing about Brazil and SP. You want skinny? They have? Blonde? Yes sir! Big? There's also that, all types of working professional women exist in that city. That I'm completely sure no other city on earth has.

I tried a combo of lists and also went to scandallo.

The main thing that I noticed is that in So Paulo the girls always try to rush and call it good after one shot. Even the high end list girls too they don't put any effort.

I think some of the lists are also the same agents that are running PA too.

I had a situation twice where the girl (agent) offers a service through the phone. I get there and they say, "oh I don't do that" or "not for this price".

I said yeah if not I'm out.

I get out to leave and the agent talks to me directly with the girls supposed number.

Gave me all kinds of threats and said I had to pay the girl for wasting her time. That they know where I am staying and the like.

Just keep in mind that all these girls are working for an agent and when you message them they are working as a intermediary. Only once you meet them can you see them cutting out the middle man.

But even then after sampling like out here I am not too impressed.

For the price of comming out here and the inflated prices these girls are charging I would go elsewhere.

ABG's experiences and assistance were of great value. However, clinica discussions dominated the SP thread during the height of ABG's tour guide business.

So I agree. I think the SP forum has flourished with broader experiences. There's still plenty of posts on the clinicas. I'm surprised no local has picked up where ABG left off.

    Privados

Anybody know is there is such a thing as "privados" or VIP rooms or booths where you can "test" the girl for 10 minutes before taking them to a room? I love theses booths in Hong Kong, Tijuana.

I'm not even talking about living in Colombia and banking there, apparently Colombian banks are among the most rapacious in South America, collecting fees even for withdrawing money with a local card from your own Colombian bank account!
However, the hotel issue in Colombia can easily be avoided. For example, one can rent an airbnb and this issue is no longer there.

Regarding item 2 above, I really don't see why it is so difficult to access your cash in Colombia. I have been doing it for 10 years and never had an issue.

I'm kicking myself for not booking the flight earlier because the shorter term flight prices are completely out of control. The flight I booked was for April 22nd, but I wanted to fly on April 20th.

It usually costs under $50 USD to fly from SP to RJ but everything for the next 8 days has skyrocketed to the $400 dollar range. Even if the booking company says they have some flights available for $100, I will fill out all the info and then it will tell me that the price is now $700.

The LATAM website is also another entity that can go fuck itself. The price changes dramatically if you are using the Brazilian website, or the international version (about 4 x more expensive). As a foreigner trying to book a flight on the Brazil website, it only tells me that the selected flight is now full.

Is this typical behaviour for Brazilian airlines? Is there any point in waiting to see if the prices go down at all, or do they pretty much only go up?

Try calling these or any other dedicated Brazilian travel agency to at least see if they can provide you with cheaper tickets or at least direct you to where you can obtain cheaper tickets. If not, deal with online purchase if it's critical that you make advance purchase of tickets.

I have always found it better to purchase "inter-country" travel while still in airport, purchase at the Airline desk prior to catching my transportation to hotel. Or during my stay just going to the local airline office if it's close or any travel agency that is close to where I'm staying, usually able to obtain cheaper tickets.

    Brazil vs Colombia

It depends. Medellin has much larger daytime scene. The main difference to me and why SP is far superior is the service level and cleanness of the rooms when we are comparing places similar to clinicas. In most places in Medellin, you won't get DFK or kissing, BBBJ at all without an upcharge. DFK or kissing is difficult to get or not very good. The rooms are often nasty by clinica standard. I think not changing sheets between session is normal. You may not have hot water. Some higher price ones may change sheet but I could never tell. There is only one that I have been to that I saw the girl change sheet like the clinica and I have been to many but this one has a shared bathroom so still not perfect. More money may not buy you more service without upcharge. The one that charge more than clinica has the most limited service but they do have best looking girls on average. There are exceptions to the generalization of service above but the rooms are usually bad that some mongers simply won't enjoy that environment.

If you like Rio Centro, then Medellin will be paradise to you if you have enough time. The key is you need time to gain experience to get what you want while everything in Brazil is somewhat automatic.

Based on the above, I would say for short stay Brazil is better because it's far less effort for newbies. But other experienced members that I also respect have said if differently. One has to decide what is more important and I hope this will help you make an informed decision.

Yes, they charge much higher prices to foreigners. If you try to book on the Brazilian website, you'll get stuck when they require you to enter your CPF (Brasilian taxpayer's number). Only way is to go to the airline office yourself when you are in Brasil. Oddly enough, at the airline office they have only one price, at least they did when I booked a ticket to Navegantes at GOL in Sao Paulo. You may need to arm yourself with patience if there is a queue.

The LATAM website is horrible. I was once stuck in Lima wanting to reschedule my flight back to Brasil. No way. The ticket was rescheduleable I knew, but the website wouldn't let me. Luckily my Peruvian friend knew someone at a travel agency who could at least rebook my flight for a fee.

I don't see why the campaign would be bad news unless you start playing grab ass with random people.

Normally if someone is mongering with freelancer or hanging out with girl outside club / clinicas, there can be some disagreement / argument and lady can take advantage of such laws / campaign. Normally I like to bring girls to my Hotel room or Motel. Please suggest if this campaign has distributed any mongering scenes in Sao Paulo or Sao Paulo is still rocking.

Also, in my past trips I was hanging out with ABG as I know very basic Portuguese. Any one in the forum who can guide me like wingman ABG. He was legend and very good person and I had very good time with him in Sao Paulo.

I am sorry you had an underwhelming experience. I don't think there is any place in this world where you can be guaranteed "X". Also, particularly so because that definition of X is very different from person to person. This hobby is such. Very subjective. And, to make things even more complex, we, the hobbyists, change our preferences / kinks as we age.

Please don't conclude so quickly on BR. Do speak to few members, research a bit more and allow yourself to learn from your own failures and adventures. I am sure, you will fall in love with the beautiful country and it's people.

Finally, personally for me, the fact that this hobby involves unexpected and unpredictable outcomes each time makes me interested to pursue this. If it were exactly 10/10 (whatever that means) each time, I will probably get bored and give up.
