    Tax + tax + tax = Brazil.

Two weeks ago I drove a friend of mine to Guarulhos Airport and had McDonalds for Dinner. I hadn't been there for ages and I was shocked!

    Numero 1 (big mac meal) + sundae = R$25,00.

Eating-out. There's a great Japanese, all you can eat, near Igreja de Moema as well as a food court in Ibirapuera Shopping Center.

    Red Massagem

There's something wrong in Moema because most of the places are now closed. That's sad because Red Massagem was my favorite place. I don't have the copnfirmation yet but it appears that it's closed for good.

It a small monthly booklet with a lot of information (sorry I don't remember the name of the magazine) small maps of some district (centro, jardins, Moema, among others) and a couple of garota's ads.

You can slo buy a large street directory in a banca (newstand). There is one located at Praça das Pombos and one in the Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida. It costs something like R$16 if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not Brazilian but a proud French Canadian Pea Soup from Montreal.

Here's a map of your hotel and, by the same token, your district: Moema.

    http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=fr&q=Hotel

    %20Park%20Inn%20Radisson%2C%20Ibirapuera&rlz=1R2ADRA_frCA422&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=3211l3211l0l4347l1l1l0l0l0l0l212l212l2-1l1&bav=on. 2, or. R_gc. R_pw. &biw=1366&bih=615&wrapid=tlif131064605159811&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl.

You hotel is located on the Avenida Ibirapuera and your close to everything.

    TRANSPORTATION.

1a) If you want to go downtown you can either take a bus on the avenida Ibirapuera on the huge "parada" which is located in front of Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida (where there is a big white church). Take busses where it is written Praça the Sé and you will be dowtown, in the historic hub of the city, in a few minutes (when it's not the rush hours!).

1b) If you want to take the metro go to the corner of Ibirapuera and Lavandisca (just besides Praça das Pombos). The bus will take you to Santa Cruz metro station. This is the blue line: if you want to go downton take the direction towards Tucuruvi (North part of the Town).

1c) You can also take a bus on the corner of Ibirapuera and Rouxinol. The bus goes to the Ana Rosa metro station (ibid: blue line direction Tucuruvi).

1d) If you want to take a taxi there are many paradas in the district. (I am aware that there is one on the corner of Jamaris and Ibirapuera, nera the Mercure hotel). You can also ask a clerk at your hotel to call a taxi for you.

    HOBBYING.

2a) If you take a look on the map, you'll notice that besides the Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida there's the Avenida Moema. Walk up to number 841 (it is on the north side of the street). This is a very quiet bairro with luxurious condos. Don't be afraid to walk on that street (or in Moema). According to me, Red Massagen is actually one of the best spot in São Paulo.

    http://www.redmassagem.com.br/site/

The manager, Erica is a gem. My suggestions: Mel (a garota with a very light complexion. She's of Ukranian / Polish descent. Black hair and blue eyes) or Monica (a tall brunette with a nice pair of rack. Her service is A-1!)

    R$90 for 1/2h.

    R$150 for 1h.

(There are promotions for the GP Guia foristas but that doesn't apply to you or most of the reader of this thread).

2b) If you are a little bit adventurous, there is a privê on Eucaliptos (just in front of the Ibirapuera Shopping Center). It's on located at 657 Avenida dos Eucaliptos. The "plantel" (staff) is less interesting than Red Massagem (basically this is the main difference between a CLínica (Red Massagem) and a privê (Eucaliptos). The main advantage of Eucaliptos is the following one: it's open almost all day long (it closes at 06am).

    R$60 for 1/2h.

    R$120 for 1h.

Not the best option, but for a quickie it's okay.

2c) Not too far from your hotel there's a nice privê near the Santa Cruz metro station. It's a new privê and the manager is Bebel. (You can either take a taxi or a bus to go there: See 1b.

    It's called Fanysex:

    http://www.fanisex.com.br/#

934 Rua Loefgreen in Vila Mariana.

    R$60 1/2.

    R$100 1h.

Sometimes there are gems working there.

2d) Take a cab or a bus (see 1c) and visit the Red Way. This is a privê near the Ana Rosa metro station.

It's located at 449 Rua Machado de Assis.

    http://www.redway.com.br/

2e) There are several swing clubs near your hotel. If you need info PM me.

    NON-PRO.

3a) There's a fine bar where you can pick up non-pros especially between 05 and 08pm (happy hours).

It's called Estalagem and it's located on the corner of Avenida Moema and Irãe (see the map).

3b) Shopping Ibirapuera is also a good place to mett non-pro (I'm damn serious!)

    EATING OUT.

Go an Lavandisca there are an array of restraurants and bars. Moema is on of the best place to dine out.

Dear Sui Generis, I went to Red Massagem today around 11:45 am and they were closed. The receptionist was quite abrupt and I didn't speak any portuguese so I am assuming they don't want foreigners.

At the shopping center take Avenida Roque Petroni untill you reach Rua Chafik Maluf. On that street there is a privê which is good:

Espaço Morumbi 101 Rua Chafic Maluf.

    Phone: (11) 5041-5128.

(Most garotas are 7/10 but there are 8/10 or 8. 5/10. 9/10.) If you want a PSE experience try Jasmine. Unforgettable. A mulatta clara with 19 tattoes.

I can also suggest a good churrascaria with a good selection of different dishes (pasta, fish, salads, desserts). On the same street: Avenida Roque Petroni. It's called churrascaria Morumbi:

Dear Sui, thanks for your e-mail and recommendation. I found Espaco Morumbi but it was closed. It was around 5:00 pm today. No cars in parking lot and nobody answered the buzzer.

Any other recommendations within walking distance? Thanks!

If you speak the language you can meet women almost anywhere in São Paulo. I once met a non-pro in a sebo (second-hand bookstore).
