I was once an active senior member, but changed my handle and lost my status. I used to hobby in Rio 15 years ago. I'm now thinking of taking a trip to Sao Paulo for first time. But I'm now 60 years old. Scandalo sounds good, but I'm wondering if the hot younger women there will go out with an older dude? This dude can pay the higher-end prices. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
CW.
I am in good shape and in my mid 70's. I have been to Scandalo on three occasions and had no problems with being rejected. I had numerous garotas approach me during each visit.

No worries mate. The girls will love you as long as your hygiene is decent, as TjBrazil points out, you are not slovenly or physically gross and you are a friendly guy. When a girl asks me how old I am I just say 50. It's no big deal and I have been saying I am 50 for at least the last 15 years. KKK. One of the most positive things about this little sport of ours is that it gives guys like us a strong incentive to take care of themselves and to stay in shape. Mongering is good for your health.

Looks like restaurant has won some prestigious culinary listings and awards. Looks like a restaurant to check out if I'm in that area on next trip! Thanks Again!!
I usually show pictures to the waiter for them to point out the menu item. On the street, I would start taking pictures first. I show the picture of what I want to the vendor after I know what they serve.

I think they took you to pharmacia to get the prepaid plan. They usually don't sell it at their own store.

Do girls go with older mongers at Scandalo?

Google mocoto sao paulo. It should come up. The restaurant is very well known otherwise I would not have known. You will like this place if you like tripes, pork knukle, and cow foot type of food. They take the traditional food to another level in ingredient selection, process and cooking. I instantly could tell on my first bite. It's the same dish I had elsewhere just far better. If you don't like the ingredients that I listed. You could try dishes like carne de sol that is sun dried meat. The price is very reasonable. It's less than are $150 for one person but Uber is going to cost you.
Anthony Bourdain raved about the place: "Mocotó is the ultimate in broke-ass, drunk-ass peasant food. ".

I was able to get a Claro sim card with only my US passport at the Frei Caneca Mall in Sao Paulo 3 weeks ago. It was a pain, as for some reason they couldn't process my credit card and wouldn't take cash. We had to go next door to the Pharmacia to process the payment? The pharmacia woulnd't take credit card so I had to pay in cash. I just accepted the whole process as the Brazilian way. LOL I paid R110 for 14 GB data good for one month. This left me with R68 in credits to recharge again next month.
The contract doesn't have CPF number on it nor my passport number. Blank fields. Currently in Rio bad has worked great so far.

Both the girls I was with on my last trip suggested this place. But I wasn't interested in spending 45 mins in traffic each way. It might be a good option if I am coming in from GRU or going to GRU.

For a Brazilian SIM card the law requires a CPF which is a Brazil taxpayer and identity number. When you buy a SIM from a tourist-friendly phone shop (or a friendly newsagent willing to help you out) they will generally use their own CPF to activate it.
Basically any CPF will work, it's just for purchase, not usage.

Yeah, I heard about this restaurant. Anthony Bourdain raved about it on one of his SP episodes. Never been there, but I think it would be a good to have a bite at Mocoto and then hit up Caster Club and / or Connection.

Thanks for taking the time to venture to a seldom mentioned Boate and post your experience. It's refreshing to be able to add an additional Boate to the already established SP list.
Hope you get a better performer on your next visit.
What's the name of the favorite restaurant you mentioned in your post? (You can PM me if you don't want to broadcast/post)

Room: 120/ HR. The room quality is about the same as Moema clinica but with mirrors on the ceiling and on the wall.
Cover: 60 before 7 PM, 120 after 10 PM. It is open everyday
Happy Hour:
If you take a girl before 10 PM. It's 249 all in, that includes the room, the cost of the girl and the cover. I think this is a good deal. Keep in mind, if you take the girl after 10 PM, then this does not apply.
Location: google Caster Club Sao Paulo
Some sample drink price attached.
Interesting find. It's close to (at least in the same direction as) as connection boate and hope spa clinica. So next time, may be worth a field trip. The happy hour deal would be great if the hot girls are there before 10 p. On google tracker, looks like a late night place and busy until the morning. Thanks.
