There is no single answer. I think you should go to both to decide. I will put it this way.

If you have a large budget like USD 300 a day, Sao Paulo.

If you want best of everything, room, bed, drink, and food, at the establishment, Sao Paulo.

If you have minimum budget, Rio.

If you like dark skinned girl, Rio.

It's difficult to compare cost because they are not exactly the same. I don't mean Rio is cheap in the above comparison but if you want to spend, Sao Paulo is better.

For living expenses, Sao Paulo has more expensive places but that does not mean Sao Paulo is more expensive. I actually think Sao Paulo is cheaper because it does not have as many tourists as Rio.

As someone who is in Brazil at this moment on my 7th visit, I can honestly say EVERYTHING you have posted here is so wrong. I will address your statements individually.

If you have a large budget, why would you even want to stay in Sao Paulo? If you have the money to travel, then flying out of SP is the best use of your funds.

That statement tells me all we need to know about your experience in Sao Paulo. Specifically, its obvious to me that you have never been there. SP is a large, nasty, filthy, dangerous and ugly place. Really. It has the highest costs for everything and an overflowing population of homeless that shit on the sidewalks. SP is the only place where I have had to use the flashlight on my cellphone at night to ensure I wasn't stepping in human shit, because the neighborhood was a habitat for the homeless. SP has virtually no colonial buildings, just lots of ugly architecture in 15 shades of grey. It is the drabbest city in Brazil. And no, it has no mountains, no beaches, no ranges of lovely green hills. So, how can it have the best of everything? What it does have is the worst, most unpredictible weather in Brazil, going from extreme heat to chilly weather within a week. The rain has already ruined two days of Carnaval this year. And when it rains, it can rain for weeks and make the experience miserable. Then you will be at the airport with a ticket up north. And then there is that random downpour which leaves you drenched on the street, which I experienced today. In my experience, SP has the worst climate in the world. And then there is traffic and pollution. But, don't get me started on that. The only thing I like about SP is that it is home to Brazil's most ecletic and edgy music. Lots of good concerts here. Culturally, it is actually a bit lacking as there isn't a real Cultura Paulistana whereas the rest of the country as its unique cultural characteristics. So, if you have money, you'd be a fool not to catch a flight out of Sao Paulo. Brazil is an extremely rich and diverse nation. The punting just happens to be exceptional, as well.

If you have minimum budget, Rio.

Wrong! Rio is still expensive. BTW, you actually stated that you thought SP was actually cheaper. But seriously, if you have a minimum budget, catch a bus out of SP into any other nearby cities. Any Brazilian will tell you that Rio and SP are far more expensive than other cities. I indicate SP as 90% of all international flights arrive at GRU. Direct flights into Rio are limited and expensive. Cities like Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Florianopolis are less expensive (though Floripa can be higher during the high season) in most aspects. Punting costs are around HALF the price. The local food is interesting in those places and the cities more tranquil, with few filthy, homeless agressively pestering you for money or sleeping on the sidewalk. I prefer the Northeast myself, though you will need to fly to those cities. The bus trip would be brutally long! The Northeast has many amazing, uncrowded beaches, as well as triving urban beaches. The Northeast will always be warm enough for swimming! Plus some cities like Joao Pessoa and Recife (along with its neighbor Olinda) have lots of colonial buildings. Forget Salvador, as it is a pricey, overrated, tourist destination and possibly the most dangerous city in Brazil. The Bahian food and beaches are excellent, but access to other cities outside of Salvador is time consuming and / or expensive.

If you like dark skinned girl, Rio.

WRONG AGAIN. Both Rio and SP have a wide selection of woman of all shades. You would have a hard time going through all the morenas in either city during your visit. Perhaps the average population of Rio is darker, that doesn't indicate nor limit your choices by any means. If you only like morenas, I suggest Recife as the population is overwhelmingly on the darker side and its an amazing city. If you like brancas, the southernmost states are the place to go. If you like variety, SP has a significant number of Japanese mestizas and a small number of pure Japanese girls. The ethnic variety of women is the only thing that SP excels in.

Excuse me, but who actually wants to spend money for the sake of spending money? If you did, I would suggest Las Vegas as a better and more accessible option.

Sao Paulo is the commercial capital and has a lot of business travelers. Unlike tourists, they aren't paying the hotel bill. Business travelers have expense accounts, which makes for expensive hotels. Plus real estate in general is expensive in SP compared to the rest of the nation. SP is just expensive with little that justifies the tourist or the punter lingering there.

Looking for possible trip couple of days in SP. Was in RDJ barely this last December. Before I sink too much thought into this: is SP same as RDJ as far as everything's closed on Saturdays and Sundays? (Both hobby and in general).

On a nice weather Sunday I go to Ibirapuera Park during the day, get some fresh coconut juice watch people, then go to Cesaro at night. Picked up one of my new favorites there on a slow night. Worked out great for both of us. Took her to my hotel and she stayed all night.

Nice subject, south american butts. First of all, you must taste flesh from all countries, so going to Colombia and Brasil is a must.

And don't forget argentinians. They have a different vibe, but quality of talent is incredible.

I have been to both (and most everywhere else) and here are some facts. And some opinions.

Fact: The Brasileira Bunda (butt) is a real thing. Pretty face. Tiny waist and a bubble butt like no other. It's not fat. It's not muscle bound. It's simply amazing. Not all brasilian girls have it of course. Depends on their genetic line. But when you find it you will be amazed. You will not generally find this in Colombia. The BB is unique and amazing. And I'm not an ass man but was still in awe. I mean it.

Opinion widely held that Briazilian girls provide more IOP (illusion of passion) and DFK and general GFE than anywhere else. I happen to agree with this. I believe a large majority of Brasileiras you will meet at a Boate really bring it in the room and either want to be there or will make us believe they do.

Opinion mine. My experience in Colombia was that most of the girls consider BBBJ to be something you do a bit of before sex. Whereas Brasileiras tend to be more orally fixated and provide amazing kissing snd BBBJ in equal measure to regular sex. I haven't yet met a Brasileira who rushed thru a BJ. I've always gotten amazing BJs in Brazil and other than one exception the ones in Colombia were meh in comparison. Again. Only my experience.

Having been to both I would not generally go back to Colombia vs Brasil.

Sounds like you're just looking for excuses to not try Brazil, so don't go. Colombia is decent but nowhere near as good as Brazil. Everyone I've met who have tried both, prefer Brazil, including all of the posters who replied to you below.

The only thing different in Medellin is the Facebook scene, which you may prefer but I find ordering girls online boring.

Regarding the friendliness of the people, I found both friendly but prefer the Brazilians as they seem more outgoing up for a good time.

It might help if you tell us what kind of mongering are you looking for? Do you want to find girls online, street walkers, girls in brothels (casas and prives in Colombia and Brazil respectively), in bars / clubs or in strip clubs / termas?

Oh well! I have actually seen this article before. All I can say is that when it comes to the people, I've never had any such experience as him. I've always found the Brazilian people to be quite friendly and approachable and would in no way consider them to have been "hostile" towards me. Instead the word I would use is "welcoming". Maybe his view has something to do with the "attitude" of author of the article himself? I don't know. In any event, I for one am not here to try to convince you of anything. You can go with the opinions of this guy and others like him, or with those from the seasoned mongers here who are giving you their best advice, many of us having deep experience in both Colombia and Brazil. I'll 100% take Brazil over Colombia every single time, especially when it comes to "butt sex" hahaha! No questions asked, no hesitance at all, 100% hands down! Recommend you stop coming up with excuses and take a trip to see for yourself.

Sometimes 2.. I plan on doing SP by the end of the year. I hope the clubs are as good as you guys say.

It is hard to compete against a memory especially a memory of a golden era. I should know having witnessed 1st hand the decline of once amazing mongering destinations like AC & Phnom Penh.

The question is not whether SP today is better than RJ back in the "hooker beach" help, L'UOMO days gone by. Sadly, I missed all that legendary stuff. It must have been fucking grand. But here we are February 2023 in the post covid era and our goal is to make the most of the things that are still around. So, I think you will enjoy SP today. It is still a pretty damn good place.

You're right. Rio was better in those days. You had an entire pipeline of girls coming to Rio from Sao Paulo and all over Brazil. Brasileiras could enjoy the beach and make really good money while sharing cheap apartments.

Because of the changes to the Rio scene, the Brasileira pipeline has mostly steered towards Sao Paulo.

Now that doesn't mean you can't find that one girl who really strikes your fancy in Rio. Some of the working girls still do drop into Rio.

Looking at the post here it sounds to me that Colombia is easier and cheaper overall let alone closer to the US: flight is cheaper and faster. I wanted to go to Brazil for the legendary "brazilian butts"; however watching videos on youtube and comparing milleroticos Colombia to photoacompanhantes Brazil, I am inching more and more to stick to Colombia. It seems to me that Colombian women are more curvy than Brazilians; plus I master spanish but not portuguese. Also, is that there is no red lights districts with girls outside in Brazil; Last thing; lot of Vennies in Colombia. Not in Brazil.

I don't think you can get a full picture from comparing internet ads and watching YouTube. A lot of the membership has been to both Brazil and Colombia and offer recommendations based on first hand experience. I don't know what the numbers are, but members by and large prefer Brazil.

It's true Colombia is quicker and easier especially if you speak Spanish. Beyond that, in my opinion Colombia pales in comparison to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

I have spent about an equal amount of time in Colombia & Brazil and I am sure Colombia is the right choice for you. Have fun. BTW (KKK) just so you know: Brazil is the epicenter of large Butts.
