Question about hotels and registering guests, as I have only been the one time and didn't have an issue last time.

I am going to have a friend (a local, but a civilian) stay with me for a few days on my next trip. I am staying at the Renaissance and have asked them to make it a 2-adult stay (no additional charge with my rate). I'm curious about what signals will go with that. Will a receipt show both names, or even that there were two guests? Will they want to have her officially on the register in some way, or just want to have the reservation setup for two people and no other interest or inquiry?

Her idea was to have a second room reserved for her so it doesn't show up and none of my colleagues see her leave my room, which I think is so unlikely I am not concerned.

You guys are all experienced, what am I not thinking of that could get me in trouble with the SO?

The invoice will be under your name only. Most likely it will show that there were two guest, if you requested two guest. Most hotels will ask you to register your guest, if she is planning to stay beyond a one-nighter or use the facilities of the hotel on her own. Now, you can skip registering her by requesting a second key and giving it to her separately, if you know her well enough to trust her with your personal belongings and potential room charges (eg room service, etc), as she can come and go out of the room on her own. If you were staying in the Grand Hyatt, they will make you register all guests.

It is like renting a car for 1 day. You can get a Honda Civic for under $50/ day or you can get an S class for $200/ day. Both cars will get you from point A to point be. If Honda is clean and has no mechanical issues, you probably will be satisfied considering its rental rate. Mercedes for $200/ day is another level, presentable, comfortable, fast, etc. Can you imagine an S class running like Honda once you turn the engine on? Impossible.

Same thing with the girls. If locals pay the same, they are probably not price sensitive and can afford it. Do they get bad service? I don't know. But it would be stupid to treat a local client badly, because he could potentially become a regular client who lives in SP 365 days a year vs a gringo coming down for a few days, and also, can spread negative reviews among other locals. If I were a working girl at Scandallo, I would think twice.

The difference is that in Rio, for example, it could be 50%-70% less expensive. In Bogota and Medellin I can guarantee you can get any smoking hot goddess for less than $200 overnight, anything over $100 would be sufficient. My take is that Scandallo is a good place for folks who are not price sensitive, for all others there are better places out there.

1. I have yet to find a place in RJ with the same quality & quantity girls as Scandallo. I have been to all the tier 1 termas and I have met some great terma girls whom I have had great sex with, but the hottest terma girls are not in the same league looks wise with the top 20% of Scandallo girls. Clearly some BMs do have the time and I guess most enjoy, said car rental.

Probably cheaper and less of a headache to just use uber than rent a car and pay for gas and find parking and worry about it getting carjacked.

Sure there are some negatives about driving in Sampa, as you've mentioned and all good points to consider. BTW, the same holds true for Rio.
