It is always best to download the offline Portuguese (Brazil) version of Google Translate, so if no WiFi connection you can still use the app to successfully to translate your conversation without the need for WiFi.

Also as backup you could add GoogleFi for WiFi service. However, it could have been location in building or something blocking your WiFi Signal. Also consider when having connection issues to switch your phone to WiFi only or cellular only, sometimes when there is a weak signal the phone may be fighting between the protocols to obtain a signal.

First of all, T-Mobile has nothing to do with what happened. All you gots to do is know some elementary Portuguese, like "sexo oral sem camishina". And second, you don't have to have any kind of pass if you have the right kind of plan. I have an international plan. My phone and internet works when I step off of the plane without a bunch of outrageous roaming charges. SP is in my top 3 cities worldwide. I now spend a couple of months a year here. About half of the girls I meet are civilians (I'm probably a bit younger than most) and the other half aren't. SP really shines for regular civilians, I'm fluent in Portuguese which definitely helps.

- Casa Rios and Tordesilhas for upscale Brazilian food.

- Picchi: solid Italian place in the city.

Picchi is very good, while Tordesilhas is an excellent choice if you want to try dishes from different regions from Brasil, both located nearby (Jardins). Another great place is Sal Gastronomia located in Higienópolis.

I am in SP until Sunday and then a few weeks in Rio. If I had to pick between the two, Rio is better. But SP is nice because SP has some of the most beautiful women of Brazil. You want model quality but miraculously you feel like they are in love with you also? SP is unbeatable. But flights are cheap between Rio and SP, so you can try both.

Scandallo and Bomboa are really amazing but it's a lot of money. If you don't mind spending $300-500 US a day on food and ass, these are top in the world. Scandallo is open for lunch but makes no sense to go there during the day IMO; b / c fewer girls and high prices. Plus the clinicas during the day are amazing in SP and like 1/4 the price. Most people hit Scandallo only once or twice in a week because it's a lot of food and drink (min consumption) and the girls are charging like double. 1) SP over Rio? Scandallo alone sounds like it could be plenty. Easy to get Scandallo girls during the day? Other equivalent clubs?

2) Reqs where to stay that are girl friendly, safe, convenient to food? I'd rather stay somewhere nice for 3-4 days than a cheaper spot for 5-6.

SP is in my top 3 cities worldwide. I now spend a couple of months a year here. About half of the girls I meet are civilians (I'm probably a bit younger than most) and the other half aren't. SP really shines for regular civilians, I'm fluent in Portuguese which definitely helps.

For P4 P, I generally stick to Scandallo and have probably been there 100+ times over the last 2 years. I've found the other places underwhelming: Cafe Photo and Bomboa are just smaller worse versions. Casarao, while being mentioned often on this thread, is nothing to rave home about. Every city in South America has a Casarao like bar. While I consider Scandallo to probably be the best adult establishment worldwide now, its novelty has obviously died down for me and I'll also say I've noticed a bit of a decline in talent in the last year.

A note on Scandallo: I would say about 95% of its clientele are wealthier locals. Gringos represent a very small portion of its clients made up from the odd tourist or from this very board. In regards to price, I know 2 of the people who run the place and a couple of working girls who have become friends. I also have quite a few Brazilian friends who are regulars at the establishment, and know what they are paying and it's the same as me. In SP, there isn't much of a Gringo pricing mentality going on either which is refreshing. Pricing at Scandallo unofficially works by girls' tier: tier 1 has a pricing, tier 2 is lower and tier 3 is the lowest. You will not get a tier 1 girl for tier 3 pricing, since tier 1 girls will almost always be picked up, so if it isn't you, another client will accept.

The highest-end working girls I found in the city are via a whatsapp contact that works by referral that I was invited to (what some refer to as a pink book I think). Kinda funny, but I saw a few familiar faces in there that had no idea were P4 P. Prices were about 2-3 X Scandallo and girls were on average 1 notch above in looks. They had no issues providing all social media with most girls having pretty big followings. My experiences on there were great and reliable, but at this price point you're competing with top talent in 1st world countries.

Food: SP is a great city for a foodie. Aside from the known places which are mentioned a lot, here are a few hidden gems:

- Tan Tan: cool mixology bar for a date with Asian cuisine.

- Kan Suke: favorite omakase in the city. Prices recently jumped and the place looks like a dump or the back of a NYC deli but who cares when the sushi is this good.

- Sushiguen: casual Japanese cuisine, had the biggest shrimp tempura I have ever seen.

- Baru Marisqueria: seafood with a Brazilian twist.

- Casa Rios and Tordesilhas for upscale Brazilian food.

- Picchi: solid Italian place in the city.
