Yes, this is the way it works. It explains why you will see conflicting information about the same girl in separate reviews. When in doubt you can do as you stated or if you want to confirm before going to the venue you can call or whatsapp and ask the management.

IMO, I would think about these things differently. This is Brazil, don't think of upselling for what you want. This isn't a FKK where some girls will want to upcharge you for touching them or Colombia where they want you to drop USD on them. At clinicas, the price is the price for the session (and you pay the desk for the most part). Expect to use translation, only a few staff here and there speak English. The common saying is that in Brazil, your chances of GFE are more likely. CBJ is a new plague it seems (IE Casarao).

To spell it out, IE Prime:

Go to the desk, say Hello, and ask for a presentation. Girls will come out and introduce themselves, try to just remember the one you want (you generally don't have the opportunity to check your list of things you want). Choose, get sent to your room and wash up / wait. If you don't like any one, you can wait around, but different places will have different levels of patience for this. Have a good time, get dressed and pay and leave (or wait for round 2). It's not that complicated.

Define what's a dealbreaker (to yourself) and just say that it won't work for you (unless the girl somehow exceeds your threshold for throwing $ at them). If you need to see people and have a conversation of what you like and what they are willing to do, clinicas don't always offer the best environment for this, other than places like Yankin (in the bar area) or Boates, etc. At boates / clubs, you can definitely get your tabbed escalated if you don't control the situation as everyone is a freelancer.
